It was last year. Had a gash in my forehead above my left eye. Went to a clinic and they said I should go to ER. The doc put skin glue on it, cost's $5 at wally world. I know there are more costs involved than med. supplies, but still. Until we address these type of issues, health care will forever be expensive.

It was late in the evening. The nurse I talked to at a private clinic said there could be damage to my retina since it was so close to my eye. She said she would suggest having a scan, she didn't have the equipment, and that I needed to go to the ER. It had already been 2 hours since I was cut and my wife had already attempted, though by herself, to apply the $5 glue from WW. So, for those who wonder, I wasn't one of these rush to the ER for anything idiots. They didn't have to scan my head and it only took about 15 mins of the doc's time, plus a nurse. Of course there are all the normal admin. costs as well. Still, a HUGE stretch to seek over $600 in reimbursement.

How do we know the government won't do that in the future? Obama himself said that the terminally-ill elderly should be made comfortable rather than be treated for their illness (which I personally agree with).

Ha! Don't drink. It was basketball. I was actually playing the game, and not on Wii either. I was an assistant coach for our church school team last year and during a scrimmage a friend and I bumped heads and my glasses cut a groove in my forehead. EOS.
