Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

I have wasted way too many hours in this chat room, if that's what the retort is.
One of my New Year's resolutions is to stop coming here. Bye all.

Best news I've read so far today.

Somehow I doubt that this site is responsible for your wasted life.

Good. Those ellipses cluttered posts were annoying to look at.

It figures he would quit just when he was starting to agree with me.

Best of luck to you.

What new name have you come up with?

That sounds rash to me, Skizziks. You should quit smoking, drinking, eating red meat and swearing before you even consider quitting the Retort.

You forgot, breathing.

What new name have you come up with?

He's gonna be clever and spell it backwards.

If there are clouds in the sky over Taiwan, he will find a way to make Obama responsible.

Notice the time stamps.

That resolution didn't last too long

Letter to Skizziks;

Dear Skizziks,

I am concerned about you. When I say you, I am really talking about me. I am concerned about me. And you should be concerned about me too.

I agree you should not waste time on the DR, time that could be used more productively. But how many times can one masterbate in a single day?

Go away and regain you composure and let you brain remember that some arguments have no black and white answer. Also remember that blogging gives the same exposure to great well though out ideas and it does to ideas with a lameness quotient that is off the charts.

Then, when you've had your sabbatical, come back and let me blast the shit out of your ideas again. Do it for you, but since I don't care about you, do it for ME.

Come here less is a good resolution but not all seems harsh. It is a good news site. I think many here have grown tired of the endless trolling coming from the right.

You're just one dumb sob. That's all I've got to say.

Oh, and that I pity you.

Wash you are one of the main trolls here.

He's gonna be clever and spell it backwards.

You mean something like, BoB?

Wash you are one of the main trolls here.

The way I see it is the frontpage is for you lefties and the backpage here is for us righties. Here you are on the backpage. I guess that makes you the troll.

Nah. It just makes him one dumb sob that I pity. ;-)

I can't be considered a troll because I always speak the truth. You are a coward on the other hand. You won't invite me to taste test on of your subs.

==> the word is sod, not sob

As in, "Aqualung my friend -- don't start away uneasy you poor old sod, you see, it's only me."

Who are you kidding, skizziks, you know you'll be back. Coming here on DR is the same as checking in at the "Hotel California."

Last thing I remember
I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
'Relax,' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave.

don't start away uneasy you poor old sod, you see, it's only me."

I never knew that. I thought he said 'sot' as in drunkard.

son of bitch, I never knew that either.

And you snatch your rattling last breaths
with deep-sea-diver sounds,
and the flowers bloom like
madness in the spring.

"madness in the spring."

Shit

That was worth hanging out here all these years.

Beautiful wildflower photos. It was Lady Bird Johnson, I believe, who was behind the idea to plant wildflowers all around Texas? She left a beautiful legacy by doing so.

While earlier looking at the different farmer's markets on Google (on the other thread) this link to "Texas Highways Magazine" caught my eye. I decided to buy myself a belated Christmas present and signed up for a one-year's subscription. I plan to do a lot of sightseeing and picture taking so thought it would give me a number of suggestions as to all the different places there are to see and explore.

Lady Bird did the roadside wildflower thing which is beautiful. However, the flowers in the pictures I took had nothing to do with Lady Bird's wildflower program.

I've got to print this out.

I like the Lady Bird grove of redwoods up by Humboldt.

The pine forrest behind Wright State Univ in Dayton is one of the most beautiful places I've enjoyed. Tall and dense, surrounds an un marked eighteenth century cemetary. Back in the mid 70s I used to blast through that stand of Pine on my suzuki 250 dirt bike. Great place...planted by Mrs. Elenore Roosevelt decades earlier.

Some right wing fool will be by any moment to point out that she was not a beautiful woman.

She had a beautiful heart and spirit.

Before that happens, let me be the first to say that you are a beautiful woman

1 less polack to pick on.

and SLOWLY we get more "texian" into you as you get...uh...up in years....lol

before you know it you will be scratching and spitting and saying things like
"Im FIXING to leave now".....

West Virginia does a slightly better job with the wildflowers, IMHO. But kudos to TX for trying. Can you think of a better, cheaper form of highway beautification?

"I can't be considered a troll because I always speak the truth"

Well, there's an early nominee for Lie Of The Year.

All your bad acting has gone to your brain Dimforth. You don't know the truth since you have been lying for too damn long about everything.

Danforth keep lying about me claiming I posted something I didn't. Post something I jackass said if you have proof. You don't. Post the emails if you have them. You don't.

"Post something I jackass said"

Huh?!? Were you or were you not the poster Messiah?

See if you can tell the truth this time.

Danforth I have no idea who you are talking about.

Jackass, where'd you go?

Are you going to answer the question and tell the truth?

Did you ever post on this blog as Messiah?

"Danforth I have no idea who you are talking about."

Gee, your "truth" campaign didn't last very long, did it?

Just like Jackass: claims he "always speak(s) the truth", and then lies repeatedly.

All I know is the truth. You are another story. Ask Lisa how I am the most truthful man on this blog.

"All I know is the truth."

Yes, yes you do. You know exactly what you did.

And you're willing to lie about it, repeatedly.

Yes or no, did you ever post on The Drudge Retort as Messiah?

Same question and I give you the same answer.

Same question and I give you the same lie.

FTFY.

Yes or no, did you ever post on The Drudge Retort as Messiah?

Posted by Danforth

I tried to as MMS when I was in exiled but couldn't get in for some reason...

Danforth keep up your lies about me. Lies are swift but the truth has endurance.

"Danforth keep up your lies about me"

I haven't told one. You, on the other hand, have yet to tell the truth.

"Lies are swift but the truth has endurance."

And a lot of people on this blog know you posted as Messiah, despite your lies.

Do you still wonder why you're not happy?

Yellow on Yellow trolling. This is great.

Bluebonnet madness in the Hill Country

I've set that picture of Bluebonnets as my current desktop photo.

The other two photos of flowers were more colorful, but I liked the lavender blue hues in this one and also the composition -- using the weathered fence posts to frame the left side the picture. I often shoot photos the same way using a prominent feature up close and off to one side.
