A state transportation employee in Colorado is in trouble for forwarding an email with a photo-edited image of President Obama shining the shoes of Sarah Palin with the cutline, "It appears he has found his niche."

It takes a racist to make a racist accusation in the first place.

He who knows no evil suspects none.

It takes a racist to make a racist accusation in the first place.

That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. I am not a racist. Does that mean if I call a Klansman one I suddenly become one?

Please

The reason why young children aren't racist is because they haven't learned that yet. I would have to say the answer to your question is yes. You have learned how to be racist.

"You have learned how to be racist." - #3 MYS

I'd say we learn many things... some (like racism) aren't looked upon as socially acceptable.

We also learn kindness, compassion, etc.

'Many well-known and high profile people started their working life as shoeshiners, including singers and presidents.'

en.wikipedia.org

Also from Wiki:

Famous shoeshiners include James Brown, Rush Limbaugh, Malcom X, and Rod Blagojevich.

shoe-shine boy Obama = racist & disgusting

shoe-shine boy Michael Steele = provacative & humorous

go figure . . .

btw, that pic is pre-election

I want to see a picture of The Prophet (Allah Akbar!) shining shoes. Shining the shoes of Moses!

That ought to be good for a riot and maybe burning 623 French cars!

1st post, NOTHING wrong with it, something wrong with ANYONE who sees ANYTHING wrong with it. Case closed, thanks for playing.

Normally I agree with most everything you and MYSTERY post here - we're typically of like mind.

Gotta disagree with you guys on this one.

Here's why. We don't have to be something to recognize its existence.

Take socialism, for example. Or hatred. Or religion and how it manifests itself in the lives of others.

We aren't ignorant as to historical context, are we? We don't navigate our life in some sort of bubble or vacuum devoid of historical precedent or common sense.

It's like the example of not putting your hand on a hot stove. You don't have to experience it to understand it's not prudent.

Gotta go now. Gotta fix some fried chicken and watermelon for our neighbors. (I wonder if they know they're colored...)

Come on guys, that some funny stuff. I bet even Obama couldn't hold back a smile when he saw it.

the economy is melting down, we are fighting wars on many fronts including the homeland and libs are indignent about some stupid cartoon. You pussies should go back to designing social programs that destroy the country.

I'd say we learn many things... some (like racism) aren't looked upon as socially acceptable.

Bullshit!!!

White racist regularly run and are elected to the highest office of Amerikkka.

Some of the notable/recent:

Ronald Reagan
Robert Byrd
Anthony Scalia etc etc etc

White racism (with power) ok, max obfuscation, other (without power) racism STOP THE PRESSES and straight to the point!!!!

It is what it is.

Do not most work places, especially government ones, have policies regarding acceptable uses of the internet and the employers email?

I can not tell you the number of emails I received from coworkers telling of a new super computer virus, surprisingly conservative commentary by deceased comedian or a slide show of maudlin images complete with third rate poetry. I dare not forget the tasteless images and text that portrayed the then President Bush in an almost hagiographic light. Most of that stopped when the policy was issued by the executive. This image is clearly racist. The work should be disciplined.

Oh, its racist ok.
It is an attempt to diminish Pres Obama with both a 'shoe-shine' and 'boy' putdown, while suggesting that the white lady who wouldnt appear on Sunday morning Q and A programs, and was roundly repudiated in a free, democratic election; is some how, superior to the Man elected by the wide margin.

It speaks to the small minded, small time "real America" (read, easily manipulated redneck).

It says "we know that the Mesaiah is really only fit to shine the shoes of the failed Alaskan Governor, election loser, Saint 'Sarah the Stupid' of Wasilla."

It says white stupid is far more desirable to 'real americans', than dark brilliance.

It says "wink, wink, you and I know this is how it aughta be: white hope xgovernor is Way more Elite than the shoe shine boy them Socialists elected."

It is not an earth shattering insult. Pretty mild actually. But it is racist, and we all know it.

Unbelievable the things that gets folks all riled.

A bunch of overly sensitive PC folks label this as racist?

How?

I see a man's body, PS'd to look like the POTUS shinning the shoes of a woman PS'd to look like former Gov. Palin.

What's the big deal and how did this picture personally hurt you?

When whites express racism most whites do not: STOP THE PRESSES and straight to the point!!!!

This says to others that you are not a "square dealer".

It's not a personal hurt, its a collective disappointment/realization that there is a consistent and not so "hidden" agenda.

Historically speaking, I guess I'm saying you "speak with forked tongue".

I'm not part of the collective.

I've always been a true believer of the sticks and stones group.

As I asked, how does it personally hurt you?

I say throw the SOB in jail for not respecting the chosen one.

Can we put these two threads together. They have a lot of common elements.

Another racist republican.

Later.

Another racist republican.

Jackass, I knew you were a racist, but I didn't know you were a republican.

Its scary to read all of these posts claiming this isn't racist. Are most of you just trying to get the libs on this site riled up or are you really being sincere?

Do I believe this is racist? Of course. Black guy shining the shoes of a white lady-come on.
Do I think this person should be sanctioned? Probably not-unless they are a supervisor who holds some power over others.

As I asked, how does it personally hurt you?

Slavery never personally hurt me, does that mean it's not racist?

It says white stupid is far more desirable to 'real americans', than dark brilliance.

Outstanding analogy.

Certainly this is racist. Deep down in places where we don't want to look at ourselves, almost every adult is at least a little bit racist.

I don't think it would do any good to punish a 73 year old woman over this. Some of the world we've lived in remains with all of us. I cannot think of a single man I've known from the generation before mine that did not express racism in front of me, at some point.

I do hope that stories like this make us all think about how the world could be better. I find it disturbing that there are still people who openly think that this is funny, or even okay.

It used to be that RACIST were mostly living in the SOUTH, now with the FOX-Republicans going on an on 24/7 the usual suspects are now feeling that's it OK for them to come out in the open.

PRESIDENT "BARACK HUSSIAN OBAMA"...This is what make those Fox-Republicans, LIVID, a Black man with that name the President of what they think is their Country alone, what a bunch of Fucking Assholes!!!!!!! RACIST PRICKS!!!!!!

Fox News has the shoe shine boy at the top of their website. It's going viral.

"The shines" is a common racial slur where I live, it's no different than coming right out and calling him a nigger. The state of Colorado paid for that, roughly halfof the people who post here think it's hilarious.

The image I wanna see is Sarah Palin pole-dancing for Obama.

Loving the PC crowd whinning about racism, now if the picture was reversed, with Palin shinning the shoes would you still call it racist? Probably not, so quit your whinning and crawl back under the rock from whence you came.

with Palin shinning the shoes would you still call it racist?

No, I would also call it sexist.

The reason that this picture is so irritating is that it shows ONE MORE JOB that acorn isn't qualified to do.

It is obviously fake. Everyone knows that acorn hasn't worked a day in the private sector in his entire life.

I've always been a true believer of the sticks and stones group.

As I asked, how does it personally hurt you?

I agree, too bad this image has been preceded by 500 years of "sticks and stones".
After being physically beaten for 500 years, do you think everything else will just roll off their backs?

Why do pussy libs have such orgasms about racism? It's completely normal and self-preserving to favor your own tribe over others.

f the picture was reversed, with Palin shinning the shoes would you still call it racist?

#32 | Posted by oulosturmind at 2010-01-02 08:15 PM | Reply | Flag: intentionally ignorant of the past 500 years of history.

I saw the image and don't see what the big deal is?!?!

Remember, BARACK OBAMA is President of The United States. Sara Palin LOST BIG-TIME and then quit on the people of Alaska.

This is simply some Plain fan fantasy that is so far removed from reality.

Sorry suckers, she lost. HE WON!!

Welcome to the year 2010. Perhaps this year all the losers that voted in the Progressives won't vote again because they have not got what they wanted. The anniliation of the US! Close but no cigar. But then again we have 3 more years of an unqualified President and I'm sure he will do his best and continue to undermine the economy and security in the US! A person can make some good money shining shoes but Obama seems to like to fill his cronies wallets better.

Can you please tell me how PRESIDENT OBAMA has undermined National Security?

Also, as for him filling the pockets of his cronies, you are aware that many friends of Bush got rich during his war in Iraq )which never attacked us nor had WMD's we were promised).....and only 5000 soldiers had to die for them to get rich.

Why do you neo-cons hate our soldiers?

Things are not going well under O. Look for a shift in the 2010 elections; Democrats will definitley lose control of the Senate & maybe the House. The Harry and Nancy show is on it's way out.

And the Tooth Fairy and Glen Beck will get married in New Hampshire next Wednesday!!!

yep..

The image I wanna see is Sarah Palin pole-dancing for Obama.
Be careful what you wish for.
SarahPolin'
I know it's a cheap shot, but no one ever accused me of subtlety.
"Who calls a shot like that? Who makes a decision like that? It's a disturbing trend."
------Sarah Palin, pushing a conspiracy theory that "In God We Trust" had been moved to the edge of coins because of the Obama administration (the change was made by the Bush administration in 2007 and was later reversed by Congress, before Obama took office), West Allis, Wisconsin, Nov. 6, 2009-----

"State Worker Spreads Obama Shoe-Shine Image"

Who fucking cares? It's funny.

Who fucking cares? It's funny.

That is what I would say if you lost your job and became homeless.

if the picture was reversed, with Palin shinning the shoes would you still call it racist?

No, but only because their exists no long history of racially stereotyping ratrded white trash GILFs "shinning" (sic) shoes.

The "Nailing Paylin" thing was definitely sexist though.

This picture of Obama?

Obviously undeniably racist.

Palin shining shoes? Not racist.

Spud would call it presumptuous, however.

Sarah Palin seriously aint fit to clean the dirt from Obama's shoes with her tongue much less shine them.

Also she's so dumb she don't know shit from shinola and that could get awkward.

^_^

Be Well.

ratrded = rtarded

Neener neener neener.

Be Well.

"Also from Wiki:

Yeah, and Rush picked cotton too. Some people actually believe that bull shit.

This is what people believe spreads racism? Seriously? That in itself speaks volumes to me as to the expectations of most Americans. I mean seriously people are offended by this asinine copy paste email, ok... that is your choice. Still to suggests that this is a dastardly tool of the supreme right in which to spread racism is more funnier than the idiot who sent this in the first place. You people do realize your choosing to be offended by something from the mind of a complete imbecile right?

This is harmless, now what is dangerous is the way government has forced Americans to forgo their 1st amendment rights, in order to be in compliance with the politically correct. A person should have the right to speak their mind no matter how offensive it is, in turn the persons offended have the right to smack the shit out of the offender. God Bless America. See? No government needed there.

I say first off the fact we have a71 yr old still working in government speaks VOLUMES about what is wrong here...

That is what I would say if you lost your job and became homeless.

#46 | Posted by jackass

I will settle for the picture making acorn lose his job. He has acquired enough money that I doubt he will ever be homeless....even if he goes and agitates like he is for more profit...he isn't. When that happens let me know.
