ScienceDaily (Dec. 31, 2009)
New Research Finds Most of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity does not remain in the atmosphere, but is instead absorbed by the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems.

Wolfgang Knorr of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol reanalyzed available atmospheric carbon dioxide and emissions data since 1850 and considers the uncertainties in the data.

In contradiction to some recent studies, he finds that the airborne fraction of carbon dioxide has not increased either during the past 150 years or during the most recent five decades.

The research is published in Geophysical Research Letters.

Ut oh..... I think this is Zat's publication of choice....

Here, I'll give it a shot for you Zat....

Science daily has been a rag for half a decacde...they publish non-peer reviewed papers written by un-educated morons.....

Happy extinction!

You deserve it....

All humans, that is.

Snowstorm squelches climate change protest
The Salt Lake Tribune 06:36:58 PM MST

A downtown protest of the climate change talks in Copenhagen became a victim of Wednesday's snowstorm.

"Not many people showed up because of the blizzard conditions," said organizer Clea Major, an international studies student at the University of Utah.

It didn't take long for the six friends to pack up a bullhorn and posters they'd planned to use for their "scream-in," . . .

"There is always the irony element"

perhaps a group hug for Zat & company is in order

"It didn't take long for the six friends to pack up a bullhorn and posters they'd planned to use for their "scream-in," . . . "

Now that's some funny stuff right there.... Any of them Zat's kids?

That statement is true, as far as it goes. It's important to be aware of two items:

1. The very next sentence of the cited link (which apparently got overlooked) states: "In fact, only about 45 percent of emitted carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere."

So, by definition, the remainder (55%) is a "most". OTOH, just because the amount that's absorbed is 55% would hardly seem to be a cause for celebration. The point is 45% is NOT absorbed and that issue is seemingly glossed over by the sweeping generalization that "most" is absorbed. Also, I suspect, that 55% is not a 'hard number' and has some +/-% associated with it.

2. Even more important is the point which seems to be (intentionally?) obscured: this recent research is NOT saying that CO2 levels haven't changed in 160 years. What it IS saying is that the percentage of CO2 that gets ABSORBED has not [significantly] changed. If true, then it is good news that the absorbing mechanisms have not (so far) been overwhelmed. However, the CO2 levels ARE still rising:

Climate has been changing on this planet for millions of years and now a bunch of morons think that if they surrender a lot of their dollars to the UN and Federal Govt, and change [reduce] the lifestyle they worked to achieve, the climate will stop changing? - BIG LOL

So the planet is 4 billion or so years old and based on 150 years of data the 'climate change scientists' know what is going to happen?
Please stop talking especially now that because the Brits, through their version FIOA, we find out that many of the 'scientists' have 'played' with the data.
