Dallas/Ft. Worth area Libertarian are upset with what they feel is a hostile act by area republicans. As Robert Butler, head of the state Libertarian Party, said, "The Libertarians started this thing, and now Republicans want to get ahead of the parade and take it over." Butler added, "We have evidence that Republicans are using the Dallas Tea Party to collect names and information."

Does this surprise you? Outside of the pejorative bogus slant, nearly the identical story was posted exactly one month ago.

Love the posted headline though.

Butler, a former Republican who switched parties in 2003, is particularly burned about the Dallas Tea Party. That group also operates the Grapevine-based NE Tarrant Tea Party, one of at least four Tea Party groups serving the Keller-Grapevine-Southlake area.

"We have evidence that Republicans are using the Dallas Tea Party to collect names and information," Butler said.

I found this interesting, one because Grapevine is my old stomping grounds, and two because it shows a direct example of how desperate Republicans are. Knowing that area, Republicans should feel comfortable and not have to cut-in on the Tea Party dance.
