They were warning about that 3 and 4 years ago. Now they are just ignoring the inevitable. The occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq have led to increased radicalization and has dispersed the enemy to cover such a range that we are at greater risk than prior to those invasions. Military personnel should be put to use where they are needed, and that is defending America. Afghanistan has had nothing to do with the defense of America for half a decade now. Obama should have redeployed them instead of sending in more.

Yeah. Then we can go back and repeat the process in five or ten years. Only this time there would be absolutely no support. Odds are that the non-Pashtuns, who have traditionally been the Taliban's fiercest opponents would be pounced upon with reckless abandon. Those that did survive would not likely look fondly upon their former American allies.
