Are the openly-racist elements within the Tea Party movement an aberration, or are they more firmly entrenched than tea partiers would care to admit?

You must think you know the answer. Are they?

Nice article Jackass, open it up and it asks me to donate to the "independent progressive journalists".

Wouldn't "independent journalist" associated with any political affiliation be an oxymoron?

WHAT A JACKASS this is impossible because ABC,CBS,NBC,MSNBC and CNN have NOT REPORTED the existence of TEA PARTIES therefore it is impossible for something that does not even exist to be racist...

Most rightwingers are racist. Look at this message board for proof of that.

What if they are? Does anyone care?

I don't but it shows they have low intelligence. You are proof of that. Btw I am heading back to the east coast. I want to try your sub shop. Do you have a website so I can find it?

We don't serve your kind.

Most union members I have met I have found to be racist. The only thing whiter than the good seats at a Knicks game are Steelworkers at ground zero. Hell they call black people ochos. I even met one guy who had a brother who died on 9/11. He had a white pride tatoo right above a 9/11 tatoo on his arm

The protest was open to anyone who was against big government and higher taxes. If black choose not to participate does that then make those that do show up racists?

No it doesn't. It just exposes a very sick mind that thinks that way.

Americans with money?

Your business must be really slow. No matter I'll eventually eat there and write a critique for the local paper. I'll probably lie and say I got sick.

Tim I am a union worker and I haven't met any racists but maybe one or two. I would say most are good union brothers.

I live in NJ now and know a few union members who say racist things after they have had a few drinks. Every single one of them are lifelong Dems who voted for Obama to prove they weren't they racist and they will still refer to the NBA as African handball and call every black person an ocho. Black is the eighth color in the Crayola box for those not from the east coast.

Face it most white bluecollar people are racist

"Union" is just a code word for the klan.

Fact of the matter is, "white power" movemments are very much involved with the tea party. They have a common interest and fan base. The only real difference is whom the party leaders paint as the boogeyman. The end goal is the same.

Well ok, so the reality is who they paint as the boogeyman isn't different. What we have here is a convergance.

Most union members I have met I have found to be racist.

Racists are everywhere. A lot of the left likes to close their eyes and pretend non are liberals, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Oh shit, group theory again.

That's the set of not zero and not infinite.

"One to many"

And one ring, to rule them all.

More seriously, I think the focus on speech is misguided. I've worked in blue collar settings where both sexist and racist remarks ran rampant -- and were mostly considered funny and non-threatening because men, women, whites and blacks were *treated* equally and got along.

I've also been in very pc white collar environments where sexist and racist speech were avoided at all costs, but blacks and women were outsiders.

I'll take the former over the latter any day.

Good point, phoenix. The enviornment I work in has women and minorities who all tell jokes at each others expense. No big deal.

Typos. Uh huh.

Typos. Uh huh.

Do I consistently misspell that word, or only rarely?

As I said, too stupid to know the difference between a typo and illiteracy. LOL

Just How Racist Is the Tea Party Movement?

ALMOST ENTIRELY

"The enviornment(sic) I work in has women and minorities who all tell jokes at each others expense."

I spent a career at Motorola in the company of PhD physicists from around the world.

We used to tell racist jokes at lunch.
"All you white people look alike to me!!"

I don't know and don't care. And nobody else does either, fool. All that's certain is you fucked up that one, dumbass. lol

Just How Racist Is the Tea Party Movement?

ALMOST ENTIRELY

I'm just a little bit curious where you get your information. Did you make it up or can you cite it?

I don't know and don't care

???

You cared enough to jump to the conclusion that it was illiteracy. Or did you forget that part already between bong hits?

I'm just a little bit curious where you get your information. Did you make it up or can you cite it?

Goatman - I observe, I read, I watch, I listen. My information is based on those things. It can't be "cited" because the so-called tea-baggers are trying to cover up their racism so as to pretend to appeal to "normal people".

IOW -- speculation. Duly noted

I would rather work in a white collar environment because blue collar jobs are low paying and for the most part boring as hell.

During the 1990's, I worked one Summer in a Revlon warehouse on the night shift. The whites hated the blacks and the blacks hated the whites and all of the trash hated the college kids. I remember some black kid tried to run me over with a forklift and I hit him in the back of the head with an unopened can of pepsi in the cafeteria

No matter I'll eventually eat there and write a critique for the local paper. I'll probably lie and say I got sick.

Newspapers don't accept amateur restaurant reviews from idiots who wander in off the street. They certainly don't take reviews on fast food.

BTW, Jackass is a racist.

About 25% as racist as the democrat party, Obama's fat assed wife, Al Sharptongue , Jesse Jackass, etc.

The left has become a 1-trick pony.

Disagree with Obama - racism

Concerned over unsustainable debt and runaway inflation - racism (unless of course if Republicans are in charge, then you're just a fiscal conservative).

Oppose the Dems' version of healthcare "reform" - racism

Etc.

The left has become a 1-trick pony.

Disagree with Obama - racism

You keep trying to make this argument and failing, Jeff.

Why do you do that?

No sane voice on the left is claiming that ALL opposition to Obama's policies is racism.

Hell, some of Obama's strongest critics are people on the left concerned that he is keeping too many odious BushCo era policies intact.

Are they racists too?

Saying that the left equates all criticism of Obama as racist is as stupid as trying to deny either the racist heritage of the Republican party itself or the existence of organised racist elements within the patchwork quilt that the Teabaggers are.

FTA: Leonard Zeskind ...pointed out that the anti-Obama "opposition" contains "many different political elements".

These include "ultra-conservative Republicans of both the Pat Buchanan and free market variety; anti-tax Tea Party libertarians from the Ron Paul camp; Christian right activists intent on re-molding the country into their kind of Kingdom; birth certificate conspiracy theorists, anti-immigrant nativists of the armed Minuteman and the policy wonk variety; third party 'constitutionalists'; and white nationalists of both the citizens councils and the Stormfront national socialist variety."

The teabaggers initially welcomed the more openly racist anti-Obama elements under their umbrella based on the "the enemy of my enemy is also my friend" adage.

That some on the right are now pointing out and decrying their existence within their ranks is proof that organised racism exists within the movement.

It's also too little, too late.

Be Well.

I would rather work in a white collar environment because blue collar jobs are low paying and for the most part boring as hell.

Only reason I'm still in my current occupation. I have days when I give serious thought to contacting an old friend to see if he needs a stable manager. Little room above the barn... read and write in peace...

If at first you don't suceed....

Nanc the resident teabagger is proof of racism in the teaparty.

" open it up and it asks me to donate to the "independent progressive journalists".
Wouldn't "independent journalist" associated with any political affiliation be an oxymoron? "

Reminds of the article yesterday that listed the top 10 corrupt politicians,9 of which were Democrats. The article was created by a group that called themselves "a conservative, non-partisan educational foundation".
