Robert Park, a 28-year-old Christian missionary from the U.S., has entered North Korea carrying a letter to leader Kim Jong Il in order to call attention to the tens of thousands of political prisoners believed held in the communist state. "I am an American citizen. I brought God's love. God loves you and God bless you," Park reportedly shouted in Korean as he crossed the North Korean border.

Idiot

I concur.

Looks like another Darwin Award will soon be earned.

L'il Kim may just hand this idiot his own head on a stick.....Darwin Award-indeed......

As if this will change anything.

As if this will change anything.

Look on the bright side. Tuscon has one less preachy idiot to deal with.

Maybe Clinton can go over there again. MAybe for a prisoner exchange.

Maybe he is really convincing and will convince Kim to change his sinful ways.

WAY TO GO ROBERT! WE AT THE DR SUPPORT YOU!

'His fate to us is unknown'

I could venture a guess...

he's not an idiot.

however there are more interesting places to protest(gitmo).

Those wacky Christians do the craziest things.

Shouting "I am an American citizen. I brought God's love. God loves you and God bless you," in Korean, his modus operandi, would thoroughly confuse the guards at Gitmo.

who says there isn't Darwinian "survival of the fittest"? Enjoy your comfy North Korean prison, Mr. park.

If he's still alive. A South Korean woman was shot about a year ago for wandering too closely to the border on a beach. Some of those Korean Christian evangelicals are the craziest people in the world. Look at what they do to their kids: Brainwashed Crazy Korean Christian Evangelical Children

No fuckin kidding.

If this moron winds up in trouble (which he almost certainly will), it seems to me that we as a nation should not lift a finger to save his butt.

He's an American, and he is in the custody of quite possibly the most despotic regime on the face of this planet. However much of an idiot the missionary may be, this country has no business throwing him to the wolves.

Shouting "I am an American citizen. I brought God's love. God loves you and God bless you," in Korean

A person can prove their love in only 3 ways:

1. Give me sex

2. Give me money

3. Give me your kidney.

Which one will he use to "bring love"?

"However much of an idiot the missionary may be, this country has no business throwing him to the wolves."

We didn't throw him, he walked on his own accord.
Sorry but America doesn't owe this idiot anything.

It is a Christmas miracle, I actually agree with Danni.

Some of those Korean Christian evangelicals are the craziest people in the world.

Koreans in general can be pretty extreme.

I studied Tang Soo Do for a while. It is the martial art behind Taekwondo, which is sport karate.

The master had been a trainer for the SK army and was hardcore. He could cut wine bottles in half with his hands.

I believe the gentleman was aware of the ramifications and possessed some inckling of what he was in for once he crossed the border. My question is how much of his plans did he reveal to members of his congregation before his departure. If I was planning on jumping off a tall building to test my faith, I'd want to alert the media to expliot the moment should my particular delusion prove to be real.

Stunts like this usually result in lots of work for somebody else, but perhaps the crack in the wall does begin with one grain of sand in the cement.

What a loser and now our gov will loose some negochips getting this American citizen back home when he is used as an example by NK.

Which one will he use to "bring love"?

I might be mistaken, but I think the missionary was going to do all three: pay Kim Jomg Il 50 bucks to watch him get freaky with a kidney.
