Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Michele Bachmann has become well known for her anti-government tea-bagger antics, protesting health care reform and every other government "handout" as socialism. What her followers probably don't know is that Rep. Bachmann is, to use that anti-government slur, something of a welfare queen. That's right, the anti-government insurrectionist has taken more than a quarter-million dollars in government handouts thanks to corrupt farming subsidies she has been collecting for at least a decade.
And she's not the only one who has been padding her bank account with taxpayer money.

Just another float in the rtard hypocrit parade

Cue the apologists in 3.....2.....1.......

Is this another "Palin's daughter's boyfriend's, aunt's cousins saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night"?

Why do you fail to mention the biggest pig, rnv?:

Marion Berry, D-Ark. $2,357,094 The payments went to corporations co-owned by him or relatives, and one company that pays his wife as a director.

This one took over three times as much as Bachmann:

Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, D-S.D. $789,575 The payments went to her father, a former South Dakota state legislator.

To be fair, this guy's close:

Jon Tester, D-Mont. $232,311 The payments went to him and his wife.

Bet you wish you'd read a little farther in the article, eh rnv?

Perhaps you can get Rcade to drop this post too?

"Why do you fail to mention the biggest pig, rnv?"

Maybe because Berry doesn't cry out against the dangers of socialism?

It's not so much a thread about pork, its a thread about those who complain about subsidies publicly, but are privately standing there with their hand out.

I don't even see Bachman's name mentioned in the article.
Is there more than one page?

"Bet you wish you'd read a little farther in the article, eh rnv?"

What for?

You seem to think that everyone thinks like you (small).

see, the reason this was titled Subsidizing "republicans" is not because democrats aren't involved ---- its because "republicans" have claimed the mantle of fiscal responsibility and go about the country demonizing these things as if they own the moral high ground.

Think of it as when the "republicans" latched on the "Party of Family Values" only later to show they exhibit little to no "family values" in their own personal lives.

You Own It now.

You Reap What you Sow

But wow, how poetic is it that the main proponent of the "evil government is taking all our money for entitlement programs" meme turns out to be getting lots of free money entitlements from the government.

Sweet!

Can anyone point me to where in the article I can find the text that Cocosamville has at the top of this page?

#13 - the powers that be had the good sense to change the erroneous title.

"Can anyone point me to where in the article I can find the text that Cocosamville has at the top of this page?"

It's very odd. All of that text comes from this article, not the one posted.

Thanks. Poor Cocosamville, even when you think you've got a point (post #4), you don't.

God damn you're one dumb bastard.

Nulli,
If I don't catch you around, enjoy the end of year festivities.

Merry Xmas, er, Happy Festivus to you too, Chair.

Redneck skips over anything with a "D".

no repub or even dem up to now has ever done anything of the scope and cost of what dems are doing now..even the most fervent obama dupe here has to admit that...
and being so brazen as to do it in the face of growing numbers

any dem with the BALLS to have a town meeting after this will WISH for meetings like last summer....

Bet you wish you'd read a little farther in the article, eh rnv?

In context - this is a Republican who is vehemently against "government handouts", ie a TOTAL LYING HYPOCRITE.

I really wish you would read the entire article - AND UNDERSTAND IT.
