This health bill has changed so much that I'm unsure of what's in it now.

A couple of questions...

On reducing the deficit, weren't the CBO numbers related to the bill that had the public option in it? What does the CBO say about the current bill?

And aside from subsidizing low income people, how is the current bill going to reduce costs or slow down medical inflation for everyone else?

By cutting Medicare and raising taxes.

When in doubt about the bill just look to see how Republicans are reacting....if they are angry then it must be good for America. If they are happy then not so much.

This bill will lower health care spending, by creating longer wait times, because your adding new patients, but not adding more doctors.

So over time Medicare patients will get less doctor visits, thus lowering health care spending.

None of this will happen because they made the system more efficient.

The health care bill iis designed to funnel money into the general fund of the treasury department. They figure that if they take all the money into Washington, then basically anyone who wants to eat must bow down to whatever the adminsitration wants to push through. Kind of reminds me of a Stalinist approach.

A family of four making $66,000 a year would still have to spend about 10 percent of its income on premiums less than a mortgage but more than a car payment. And that's without counting copayments and deductible. Several million otherwise eligible Americans could still be priced out.

when it's all said and done the middle class will take it up the ass again.
