A New Jersey father has his hopes pinned on Brazil's chief justice, praying he will regain custody of his son after a five-year court battle in time to spend the holidays with the boy in the United States.

I pray this father and son are reunited and David Goldman is allowed to return to the states with custody of his son.

I find the entire situation ridiculous that an abduction case has gone this far.

I want to see the news today that Goldman and his son are safely aboard an airplane headed back to the states today!!!

This has been a miserable story from the onset. My heart goes out to that man. How much you want to be that his child only speaks Portuguese now?

They are going to vote in the father's favor. His son will be back home with him for Christmas.

There's also been a lot of politics involved in this matter, a trade deal with Brazil had been put "on hold" to apply pressure and the Brazilian government just wants this case over and done with.

That's different, his father was an evil God hating COMMUNIST!!!! There is no way such a person could really feel the emotion of love of a child.
