Friday November 27th over 1,2 million Norwegians watched parts of "Bergensbanen" on NRK2. The longest documentary ever? At least the longest we have made, almost 7 1/2 hours, showing every minute of the scenic train ride between Bergen on the Norwegian west coast, crossing the mountains to the capital of Oslo.

Is there a highlights reel?

I downloaded all of Star Trek and that was around 30GB.

I swore to myself I would not do that again. LOL

Today, now that my internet is ten times faster, it won't take me more than 2 days.. but is a lousy train ride worth it?

I would love a highlights version as well.

Thzs for posting this...I sent it to a Norwegian friend living nearby Chernobyl.

I've always wanted to go to Norway. I've heard about that train ride. It is high on my priority list. Wish I could see the movie

It would a feat to re-encode it down to dual layer dvd size. Once the torrent is done, that's my next project and if the quality is good enough I'll offer it.

I use this to convert movies to the proper size and format (MP4) to watch in my mobile phone.

This is the best to use, I have found.

The best 3g2 encoder for the phone is Pazera. Free and easy. WinFF does the same thing.

Looks like that's just for converting FLV to AVI.

I download whole movies and shrink them to proper size and change them into MP4 to watch on my phone.

The software I use is also free but seems to work faster than most others and gives perfect results.

For the job at hand (shrinking train ride movie), I used Format Factory to shrink all of Prison Break's last series so it would fit onto a single DVD. Quality was still excellent.

There are any number of softwares out there that do the same thing, of course. But I like the Chinese ones because they rip and steal more movies than anyone else and they like making no fuss stuff for such use.

I'll have to check that out. I have a few very high quality video files that have been pissing me off lately... they are not converting properly and I want to burn them onto DVDs for a friend.

Try Clone Dvd used with AnyDvd. AnyDvd will break the encryption and Clone Dvd works where others fail.

Tosser, Pazera has a variety of converters, you didn't see all of them. Most of the time I use Avidemux.

I'll have a look again. Thanks.
