But, this doesn't mean that it's racist to test these studies and to see what differences there are in races. Blacks get sickle-cell way more than whites. Whites get melanomas way more than blacks, and have more heart disease than Asians. There are studies to see if a black athlete has more fast twitch muscle than others.

To point out differences physically and mentally is not racist. To ignore whether there are any differences, or to say the matter is settled without further inquiry due to political correctness is a disservice to science. It's only if you try to use any such differences to discriminate, use it as proof of superiority of one race over another, etc.

What is common sense today in terms of cross racial perception will be very different forty years from now.

Like the study makes clear, there is no doubt about the difference in intelligence and it can not be pinned on culture. Excluding genetics from research and as an explanation before the facts are in is retarded. In my opinion, if you are going to close the acheivement gap (which I assume you will agree exists), then you need to understand ALL the root causes.

Now, are you going to stop attacking the authors and comment on their data? Is the measure of volume racist in some way? BTW, you claiming that a UC Berkeley Prof is racist is pretty funny...

Lastly, you seem pretty sure that 'all the research' says that IQ is even between the races - can you link to one of those studies as the major studies across countries and even within the US have a completely different answer?
