I believe there's a 100% chance that Gore will lie again, too. And again, and again, and again....whatever it takes to make himself even richer...

8 years he spent with the Lord of Lies and thats all the better he can do? No wonder that dumb-ass Bush was able to snatch the presidency from him. He should have stuck to inventing computer networks.

-Gore's office later admitted that the 75 percent figure was one used by Dr. Maslowski as a "ballpark figure" several years ago in a conversation with Gore.

Ah yes, Terrible error and wholly unsubstantiated.... talk about deniers grasping at straws.

SARAH!! Supports Al Gore:

After all, Obama might join other leaders in acknowledging that warming is a "global challenge." He might entertain "opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions." He might even explore ways to "participate in carbon-trading markets."

Oh, wait. Those quotes aren't from some smug Euro-socialist manifesto. They're from an administrative order Palin signed in September 2007, as governor of Alaska, establishing a "sub-Cabinet" of top state officials to develop a strategy for dealing with climate change.

Back then, Palin was the governor of a state where "coastal erosion, thawing permafrost, retreating sea ice, record forest fires, and other changes are affecting, and will continue to affect, the lifestyles and livelihoods of Alaskans," as she wrote. Faced with that reality, she sensibly formed the high-level working group to chart a course of action.

"Climate change is not just an environmental issue," wrote Palin. "It is also a social, cultural, and economic issue important to all Alaskans."
"Alaska's climate is warming," Palin wrote to Alaskans in a July 2008 newsletter. "While there have been warming and cooling trends before, climatologists tell us that the current rate of warming is unprecedented within the time of human civilization. Many experts predict that Alaska, along with our northern latitude neighbors, will warm at a faster pace than any other areas, and the warming will continue for decades."

So righties, who you gonna believe: Rush, or SARAHH!!?

Hobson's choice.

Um, I choose neither. Next question?

Gore is a whore!

"Ah yes, Terrible error and wholly unsubstantiated.... talk about deniers grasping at straws."

However, he got together with Zatoitchy and they discovered the temperature of the Earth's core is millions of degrees. In other words, it's damn hot! He has recently discovered geothermal energy too. I wonder if the Icelandics know about that? That Algore is one hell of a great scientist!

www.youtube.com

Lied again? That would imply that at some point he stopped. If the leading GW advocate has to make bald-face lies to get his point across, what does that do to their argument in general. If they have the great scientific evidence they keep claiming, maybe they should try that instead. But that's probably why they are still resorting to lies and cherry-picked data.

It's no surprise that a (former)politician/(current)
lobbyist might exaggerate facts. It's a surprise that anyone is surprised.

BTW, even if Gore is off with this and other statements, it still doesn't mean that a problem doesn't exist.

Perhaps he also discovered physics where he found that C02 in the atmosphere traps heat.

He may have also discovered statistical analysis that says we put 90 billion tons of it a day into the atmosphere.

Then he discovered 2 + 2.

Perhaps, given time and anti-senility drugs, so will you.

"Perhaps, given time and anti-senility drugs, so will you."

And perhaps when you recover from your adulation of Algore and Michael Moore you'll come to realize that they are BOTH full of shit. "Millions of degrees...millions, yep, millions...you know, real, real hot!" What a clown...YOU TOO!

-Perhaps he also discovered physics where he found that C02 in the atmosphere traps heat.

-He may have also discovered statistical analysis that says we put 90 billion tons of it a day into the atmosphere.

Well then, by all means, wave your magic wand, Princess, and make these two facts go away!

"Perhaps he also discovered physics where he found that C02 in the atmosphere traps heat."

Wow, he discovered that too? Traps heat? Lots and lots of heat? Millions of degrees? That Algore is one smart dude, ain't he? So are you to chose a mentor of his caliber.

I like this guy better myself.

"That said, the main greenhouse substances in the earth's atmosphere are water vapor and high clouds. Let's refer to these as major greenhouse substances to distinguish them from the anthropogenic minor substances. Even a doubling of CO2 would only upset the original balance between incoming and outgoing radiation by about 2%. This is essentially what is called "climate forcing."

online.wsj.com

"Lots and lots of heat?" Actually, CO2 is one of the least efficient of the "greenhouse" gases. Coupled with being a grand total of 0.038% of the atmosphere, how likely is it that CO2 is really the culprit of any warming?

Let's see, agree with Al Gore or Richard Lindzen, a professor of meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology?

Actually, CO2 is one of the least efficient of the "greenhouse" gases. Coupled with being a grand total of 0.038% of the atmosphere, how likely is it that CO2 is really the culprit of any warming?

I've looked and looked all over the internet and asked the "experts" here the answer the following question, but it still eludes everyone:

If the earth was a completely static system (no ocean currents, constant solar input, no wind, unvarying cloud cover, etc,) what would be the rise in global temperature over a century if CO2 increased fro 200 PPM to 300 PPM. Seems if we know so much about CO2's effect on the atmosphere, this should be a simple a straightforward question to answer. Yet no one can.

So if we can't determine the effects of CO2 on our atmosphere in a simplistic static system how can people pretend to know what it will do in a highly dynamic one where we have variables such as other greenhouse gasses, ocean currents, jet stream, animal life, varying cloud cover, vegetation, seasons, tides, etc?

It seems to me if the science of climatology hasn't even yet learned to walk, they shouldn't be participating in the Boston Marthon.

If Algore says CO2 is the culprit, then Corky is taking that to her grave.

"Let's see, agree with Al Gore or Richard Lindzen, a professor of meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology?"

Yeah, But Richard Lindzen didn't invent the internet, make a movie, or win a Nobel Peace Prize!

Hillarious.

This guy could shit down your throat and when you finally swallowed then puked you'd say how great it tasted.

Hillarious.

Hate to rain on the stupid parade.
Here's the article.

"Arctic summers ice-free 'by 2013'"

news.bbc.co.uk

"Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice.

Their latest modelling studies indicate northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years.

Professor Wieslaw Maslowski told an American Geophysical Union meeting that previous projections had underestimated the processes now driving ice loss. "

"75 out of the 77 in the survey."

Try 3,146 scientists, liar.

Yes but now we all know that these so called climatologists were cooking the data books and buying stock in Gore's schemes. Also, the current trend for the past 2 years has been one of cooling.

Go dunk your head in your pool asshole.

"Go dunk your head in your pool asshole."

I don't think he can. It's probably all iced over due to global cooling.

5 years or 50----the ice is still melting dUmmIes.

The things that are going up due to this global warming hoax is not the temperatures around the world but the balance in Gore's bank account and the size of his fat ass!

You morons never read the thread.
The title of this thread is the lie.

You mean Gore told the truth along the way and then started lying again?

HA

And NG3-- The working group formed by Sarah--wasn't to cap and trade and wreak the economy of Alaska--it was formed to discuss courses of action in dealing with the effects of warming.

The Earth will do what it wants--warm, cool, shake, erupt.

Humans have little affect on the Earth. All we can do is prepare and then react when something goes crazy.

So Zat is now going to wait with baited breathe for 2013 for the no show of ice??

Take a picture when the year arrives--and post it here on the DR--ok?

"baited(sic) breathe(sic)"

Murphy, you aren't even stupid.

Oooh.

You missed the "affect"/"effect", too.

You give 'em hell, old man.
