Seven-time Tour de France winner and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong is steering his star power at another disease: diabetes. A new feature of his Livestrong.Com will help people with type 2 diabetes, one of the USA's fastest-growing health problems. "We wanted to be there to help them achieve a healthy quality of life, help them live to their fullest," Armstrong said.

I wonder if doping will help?

He said he'd give his right nut to find a cure.

I think Armstrong is just a good guy. Doing the right things with his money and notoriety. I don't know his politics and don't want to know. I'm just glad there are people like him that exemplifies courage and decency. Even with one nut, he is more of a man than you fucks.

"I wonder if doping will help?"

If being a dope would help, you'd be an ace.

You have to look at the red states in awe as their fat fucks blaze a trail in the diabetes sweepstakes. Their display of gluttony and sloth is truly remarkable.

Their display of gluttony and sloth is truly remarkable.

The blue states would be the same if they had jobs. Americans with money behave the same everywhere

Their display of gluttony and sloth is truly remarkable.

Its a disease that is brought on by poverty too, rampant in the native american community, course they are filthy rich.

Yeah, and all Texans have an oil well in their backyard, dufus.

Goatman-
If all the jobs and wealth are in the red states, then why are red states soaking up more fed dollars than they contribute, while the blue states are not?

Yeah, and all Texans have an oil well in their backyard, dufus.

Sorry,I thought sloth and gluttony were attributes of the rich, but on further thought I could be wrong.

Dufus

Good question. But there's no doubt that the union blue states are floundering and they are moving to the red states for jobs.

You had it right at "good question", which admitted the truth of my comment.

In response to your boilerplate bullshit, there is no doubt that you bought some cheap shit made in China this week, where thousands of peasant farmers are moving to the industrial centers to provide you with a cheap t-shirt.

And this proves what? This is a model you wish to replicate in the USA?

You had it right at "good question", which admitted the truth of my comment.

So the red states soak up the fed's funds AND have the jobs? Maybe they aren't as stupid as you make them out to be. LOL

In response to your boilerplate bullshit...

???

So you say I am wrong about blue staters moving to the red states for jobs? Check again, bud.

...there is no doubt that you bought some cheap shit made in China this week

yes I admit I spend as little money as possible for my goods. You don't? Fool

I usually try to buy American, but I guess that makes me a fool in your book.

... but I guess that makes me a fool in your book.

???

The assigning false positions game again. You never will grow up will you, boyd? I don't feel like playing that game with you again.

Later, child

So you say I am wrong about blue staters moving to the red states for jobs?

Of course I never said that, which anyone can see.

yes I admit I spend as little money as possible for my goods. You don't? Fool

I fail to see how your claim I am a fool for trying to buy goods from American manufacturers and workers at perhaps a higher price is assigning a false position to you. It is explicitly what you stated.

me: ...there is no doubt that you bought some cheap shit made in China this week.

You: yes I admit I spend as little money as possible for my goods. You don't? Fool

I fail to see how I have "assigned a false position" to you

I fail to see how your claim I am a fool for trying to buy goods from American manufacturers and workers at perhaps a higher price...

I never made that claim.

As I've said many times before -- grow up. Only children assign false positions.

You are such a child.

Do you understand that others, without knowing that you are full of bullshit, might assume that your words have meaning?

If your point is that I should know by now that you have demonstrated that you are full of shit and what you type with your little stupid fingers is meaningless, then I guess you have a point.

I SHOULD know by now, so I apologize.

Allow me to apologize again, for I really should know by now, and I'm ashamed that I allowed myself to read the bullshit you type and take it literally, or assign any meaning to it whatever.

It's entirely my fault, and I'll try not to trouble you again.

Sincerely.

Type two diabetes is a carbohydrate metabolism disorder MAINLY caused by poor diet. When I say poor diet I mean too much food, too many CARBS. This leads to a lot of other problems
which contribute to type 2 diabetes such as obesity, insulin resistance, craving for more and more carbs/sugar, increased appetite.

The amount of carbohydrate in the average diet has gone up, while the amount of fat has gone down. This makes a much more challenging environment for the body to keep glucose/insulin levels from getting too high. When you are young and healthy your body will be able to accomplish this task, once you get older it is much harder.

I find it insane how resistant much of the medical/health professions are to a low carb diet. They may consider 50% of calories a
low carb diet....that's insane, No wonder type two diabetes is getting really out of hand.

On a side note I think a good book to read on the subject is by Gary Taubes titled Good Calories Bad Calories.

As a long time sufferer of type 1 diabetes, it is difficult to look at type 2's with sympathy.

Diet and exercise make a huge difference, and yet so many of them will not take that step and reform their lives.

It's all the left can do...to blame republicans, even when THEY are in charge!!!!

Being fat from overeating, eating incorrectly and not getting enough exercise is a nationwide problem. I blame a lot of food misconceptions on the FDA. They do a FOR SHIT job educating the public. No one eats a food triangle or a pyramid. It's time they learn how to deliver their message so people can understand.

Tell people how many carbs they should get PER MEAL AND PER SNACK. Teach people how many carbs are in their basic foods. That alone could help millions.

As for Lance, hooray for him. A very worthwhile cause.

On another note, another med study..coffee and tea are good for your sugar levels!!
