Hope and change you can believe in.

I think I will leave private industry and get myself a government job. Join the bandwagon and jump on the back of the taxpayer like the rest of these guys!

Good luck.

This report just goes to show how woeful private companies pay their employees.

726 - If you pay taxes you are paying for those bloated govt salaries.

now is a good time to remind everyone that labor is a commodity. If the govt needs to pay this much to attract and retain highly skilled employees then so be it.

but don't remember an exodus from these jobs before the pay increases.

in any case, if you read through this, you will see that the Bush admin did this stuff so this story won't get much traction here. Cons can't blame Obama for this and Libs refuse to applaud GWB for anything.

What he said.

If government could hire illegal aliens or outsource the work to India then government wages would be similar to the private sector. If government allowed the top executives to take home millions it would also require the minions below them to take home less just like in the private sector.
The problem isn't that government salaries are too high, it's that private sector wages for most workers are too low. Voila: we have a recession (depression) due to lack of demand for goods and services.

labor is a commodity.

What a crock of shit.

JIMMY -
Why do you disagree? In most cases it is a commodity.

Good luck.

As a private sector employer who is struggling to keep his company alive and working for half pay, I feel nothing but disdain for rot like yourself.

And that is while my employees still receive their full pay.
