Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The Environmental Protection Agency has concluded greenhouse gases are endangering people's health and must be regulated, signaling that the Obama administration is prepared to contain global warming without congressional action if necessary. The EPA finding clears the way for rules that eventually could force the sale of more fuel-efficient vehicles and require plants to install costly new equipment or shift to other forms of energy.

Yea, that CO2 is a really pesky gas, just ask any plant!

CO2 is a trace gas being only 0.038% of the atmosphere.

BWHAHAHAHAHA Sorry Corky but that's bullshit. Especially CO2. I swear some people. Global Warming Climate Change Greenhouse gases what utter and complete poppycock.

Larry

Just laying out the facts ButtCork. Something you and Algore want to ignore.

LarryMohr, Jr. Scientist Badge #69

Here ya go, Peachfuzz, you can say you learned something today.

The reason given for not classifying CO2 as a pollutant is based upon the fact that it is a natural component of the atmosphere and needed by plants in order to carry out photosynthesis.

No one would argue the fact that carbon dioxide is a necessary component of the atmosphere any more than one would argue the fact that Vitamin D is necessary in the human diet.

However, excess Vitamin D in the diet can be extremely toxic (6). Living systems, be they an ecosystem or an organism, require that a delicate balance be maintained between certain elements and/or compounds in order for the system to function normally.

When one substance is present in excess and as a result threatens the wellbeing of an ecosystem, it becomes toxic, and could be considered to be a pollutant, despite the fact that it is required in small quantities.

There is still some resistance to the theory that the increase in CO2 results from the burning of fossil fuel, and that the increase in CO2 is responsible for global warming. There is little pressure on the US power plants to reduce CO2 emissions; so here it's still "Burning of fossil fuel is good for the environment" and "the world is flat."

Let's say for the moment that what You say is true Corky(I Firmly do not believe it) What the fuck can You do about the Weather?? What can You do about Climate Change?? If You think You can do something to change it then You are either stupid or quite arrogant in triple spades. Mother Nature will do what SHE wants to do and there ain't a G-d damned thing You can do about it. Bank on THAT one Corky.

Larry

Mother Nature will do what SHE wants to do and there ain't a G-d damned thing You can do about it.

Why do you drop the "o" in G-d Larry if you believe in Mother Nature? Dropping it is a sign of reverence, but if you believe Mother Nature controls the weather, then you have no reverence for G-d. Just wondering.

But here is one reason so many people are confused on the subject of CO2 in the atmosphere; propoganda by industry sources.

"Based on these arguments, the fossil fuel industry's slogan, "Carbon dioxide: they call it pollution, we call it life!" could just as truthfully be phrased, "Carbon dioxide. We call it pollution, and we call it death."

One need only look at our sister planet, Venus, to see that too much "life" can be a bad thing. There, an atmosphere of 96% carbon dioxide has created a hellish greenhouse effect. The temperatures of 860 F at the surface are hot enough to melt lead. There's not too much life there!"

All fear mongering websites Corky, and you are part of the problem.

Plants can grow up to 50 percent faster in concentrations of 1,000 ppm CO2 when compared with ambient conditions, though this assumes no change in climate and no limitation on other nutrients. Some people believe (for example David Bellamy) that as the concentration of CO2 rises in the atmosphere that it will lead to faster plant growth and therefore increase food production. Carbon Dioxide

And C02 concentrations on Earth will NEVER go from 0.038% to 96% as in your Venus example.

#13 | Posted by The_Chapel at 2009-12-07 12:05 PM

Kind of like how G-d made you stupid; he doesn't want thought there.

One of Earth's means of disposing of CO2, the permafrost layer, is beginning to melt, releasing millenniums of CO2 back into the atmosphere and reducing it's capacity to trap CO2 as it's done for eons of time.

Map of Permafrost Layer now thru 2100 A.D. (scroll down a little):

74.125.47.132

Forests, Mother Nature's surest way to cleanse CO2 from the atmosphere, once covered almost twice the area that they do today. Large expanses have been converted or degraded to produce food, timber, and energy. The loss is continuing at a rapid rate. Just one fifth of the world's original forest cover remains in large tracts of relatively undisturbed forest. As populations increase, forests will continue to decrease in size - further reducing the Earth's ability to cleanse CO2 from the atmosphere.

Another end-around by the world presidential administration in history.

When Obama loses the White House in 2012, hopefully the new president will declare liberalism a pollutant, and Barack Obama a danger to human health.

But what do I care? If these dumbasses want to throw millions of energy workers, manufacturers, union laborers, and mill and plant employees to the curb pretending that every time we exhale we're polluting the world, go ahead. If you don't have investments in Chinese or Mexican companies, time to get started.

Hey, you are the rightwing industry pimp, not me.

Corky's too stupid to see that he's putting on the pompoms for this decision, which will outsource another 2 million jobs. Then he'll defend it, and remind us of the big headaches Obama inherited.

Time to start buying up land in Juarez, and chemical plants and refineries in Monterrey.

This is all about the dollar. The EPA has ramped up fines in both water and wastewater industries in the last few years.

Would all good liberals hold their breath indefinitely in order to stop the sky from falling.

#28 | Posted by rightisright

If stupidity were a company, you would indeed be the CEO.

If the right wing windbags on talk radio were silenced it would go a long way to stopping global warming.

The solution is simple and almost free. Birth control, sex education, and plant trees. Less people + more trees = CO2 problem solved.

2 people with one child = negative population growth

2 people with 2 children= zero population growth

2 people with 3 or more= positive population growth.

Simple and solved. You are welcome.

Perhaps greenhouse gases are in fact a danger to human health. But far be it from the EPA to come clean and admit that CO2 is but one of many "greenhouse gases," and that CO2 is only a small contributor to the "greenhouse effect." In ignorance of those facts, liberals still intend only to regulate CO2, and idiots like Dorky do as they're told and follow along.

He doesn't think for himself. The libbies love to pretend that we small-govt cons have talk radio on all day, but they're the ones who get all their talking points from the Air America and the MSNBC crowd. It doesn't matter to them that the EPA is subverting the law; if Al Gore says carbon dioxide is a toxin, and we need to pay people like him hundreds of millions of dollars to protect us from ourselves, then that's just what they'll do. Sheep.

I don't know what the big deal is. I had some greenhouse gas for lunch today.

we small-govt cons have talk radio on all day

Don't know any "small govt cons" and I know for a fact that RIR is not one. You jumped for joy at every Bush expansion, so you are only for small government when it ain't your party in charge.

Methinks you're lying. Couldn't care less, though. All libbies are liars, and there's nothing any of us can do about it. It's incurable.

I didn't know they cashed in on "WMD's in Iraq."

That was Halliburton, silly.

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.

We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."

Al Gore, Former Clinton Vice-President

"Even if we give first priority to the destruction of terrorist networks, and even if we succeed, there are still governments that could bring us great harm. And there is a clear case that one of these governments in particular represents a virulent threat in a class by itself: Iraq. As far as I am concerned, a final reckoning with that government should be on the table."

But he's found a better-paying gig now. He's much better paid for his "rhetoric" these days, and the beauty of libtarddom is that they will never call Gore to account for the fact that his own lifestyle and his own rhetoric don't exactly square up.

Nice job CP. Where is your Sotkick Duck is Served?

LOL.

But if we bomb Iran, do we blame McCain?

Is anyone blaming Gore for the invasion of Iraq?

If McCain put together coherent reasons for why we should invade Iran, and our president invaded Iran on the same basis, I'd say the two are on equal footing mentally.

"There is not a single issue on which he will whitewash the Democrats of their own rank hypocrisy."

My point was people talk tough all the time. I'm sure you can find, as many have, the same type of rhetoric spewed at SH during the Clinton years. But Clinton didn't invade...whereas Bush did.

But I gotta hand it to RiR. There is not a single issue on which that member of The Party of Responsibility will take responsibility.

Bush took responsibility for the invasion. He did more than talk tough. And what Clinton did in Bosnia and Kosovo and Iraq were acts of war. It's an act of war to declare an economic embargo, and enforce no-fly zones and naval blockades. We've been at war with Iraq since they invaded Kuwait.

But I agree with you, actually. Al Gore wouldn't have done anything about Iraq, even though he believed there was nuclear weapons there. He wouldn't have done anything to the Taliban either. He's full of rhetoric, and that's about it, unless there's a big payday in it for him.

"Bush took responsibility for the invasion."

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!

Tell another joke!

Bush looking under Oval Office desk: "Where are those darned WMD's".

We deserve Obama, and all these ridiculous regulations that will be coming down the pike. We deserve to have millions of Americans out of work, and we will deserve to have thousands of businesses move across the border, or across the ocean. The rust belt is what elected Obama; it's where he's from. And in one stroke, his administration will ship off the few industrial jobs that remain.

Poetic justice, that. If you run a company that uses motors, electricity, ranches--your bills are about to go way, way up. And if you voted for this retard, then it's your fault.

But if we bomb Iran, do we blame McCain?

"At this point, I'd rather have the other retard back."

How about if Obama just invades two more countries and slashes taxes for the wealthiest while doing it?

What are greenhouse gases??

The contribution to the greenhouse effect by a gas is affected by both the characteristics of the gas and its abundance. For example, on a molecule-for-molecule basis methane is about eight times stronger greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide[6], but it is present in much smaller concentrations so that its total contribution is smaller. When these gases are ranked by their contribution to the greenhouse effect, the most important are:[7]

water vapor, which contributes 3672%
carbon dioxide, which contributes 926%
methane, which contributes 49%
ozone, which contributes 37%

en.wikipedia.org

So let's cap and tax water vapor!!!

Who is responsible?? Who do we attack and denegrate and tax the hell out of existence??

I friggin can't stand the EPA--do away with their department first off.

And the nimrod who announced this was giggling almost knowing that they get to regulate something even if congress doesn't.

Somebody need to stick your head in a smokestack for a few deep breaths.

The history of Americans accepting the dangers of smoking and the current denial (by some) of climate change caused by burning fossil fuels may have something in common.

"Clear scientific evidence showing the link between smoking and lung cancer first emerged in the early 1950s. Public recognition of the extent of this hazard was delayed for decades due to aggressive public relations by the tobacco industry, and even today the industry is involved in rearguard efforts to downplay the dangers of hazards such as secondhand smoke. A few years ago, for example, documents came to light regarding an industry-sponsored campaign in the early 1990s to plant sympathetic letters and articles in influential medical journals. Tobacco companies had secretly paid 13 scientists a total of $156,000 simply to write them. One biostatistician received $10,000 for writing a single, eight-paragraph letter that was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Another received $20,137 for writing four letters and an opinion piece to the Lancet, the Journal of the National Cancer Institute and the Wall Street Journal. These scientists did not even have to write the letters themselves. The tobacco industry's law firms did the actual drafting and editing." - Sheldon Rampton, SourceWatch

Does any of this sound familiar?

Yep. All them damned commies tellin' the big boys what to do. Sucks don't it. God knows us little guys don't need clean air and water. WTF, we are all going to die anyway. Quality of life is for the rich and famous.

I'm still waiting Murphy. That article you linked to is all about how big business is making the EPA's job almost impossible to do. Did you actually read it or did you just post some wild cat hit some search engine picked up?

There is a lot of things they haven't done yet. I asked you what have they screwed up?

There is waste in every agency ever created by man. It's the nature of the beast. The EPA is only a regulatory agency. It's up to the corporations to follow the rules the EPA establishes for the purpose of public safety. Corporations ignore them all the time. So what? It's the EPA's fault now? They have to deal with lobbyist and greedy lawyers too.

Now, with this new ruling, the right wing crackpots have one more thing to complain about, but it doesn't change the fact that we need the EPA. Without them our water and air would be 10 times worse then China. Do you remember when Lake Erie was dead or are you just a young pup?

...and you pubbies think Al Gore is a the bad guy?

The reason CO2 is a trace gas in the Earth's atmosphere is that it is rapidly taken up by algae and plants in photosynthesis. Without it, they would die, and so would we.

CO2 is highly soluble in water, especially sea water. Much of the CO2 entering the oceans is converted to a form of calcium carbonate found in the shells of marine animals, including corals. This is the major geological sink for carbon, with coal, petroleum and natural gas well down the list.

CO2 an essential and naturally regulated component of the Earth's atmosphere, NOT a contaminant.

News Flash...

Government is harmful to your health and well being...

I say we should classify water as a pollutant too!! Since water vapor is a WAY more abundant green house gas compared to the trace amounts of CO2.

The folks riding the green wave are heavily invested in green technology. There are vast sums of money to be made by these people including the carbon credit scheme. To insure that green technologies win, just make our traditional sources of energy appear evil, gain support from the easily manipulated and trusting population by using scare tactics, and wipe out the competition. Al Gore is the easiest example, but if you think these talking heads who don't walk the walk aren't going to come out of this vastly more wealthy you are very naive. Nuclear is the way to go for cheap clean energy, but you notice the silence there. Developing nations could get the energy they need to improve their standard of living. But they don't care about that. The billions to combat AGW is going to go down the drain.

You're boring. Funny how you follow me around, constantly.

But it's nice you've managed to spell an obscure Latin term correctly three times in a row now. Record for you. If we had ten bucks for every time you mangled Tu Quoque, and Zat posted his Arhenius link, we could have outfitted the whole of the US with electric cars by now.

Or the part where 97% of climatogolists agree that global warming exists and is caused by us? I'm as far from teabagger as you can get. Sheep.

Why in the hell are you getting your panties in a wad about this????

You're ok with spending more on protecting the USA from someone who was SUPPOSED to have Weaposn of mass destruction.... Oooops...

I guess it was ok to fudge the truth as long as you were JUST going to start a war with the lies...

some peoples kids....

I would rather take a chance on living in a world with a little excess CO2 than Obamacare.

CO2 an essential and naturally regulated component of the Earth's atmosphere, NOT a contaminant.

A totally ignorant thing to say. www.realclimate.org

CO2 is not poison, retard.

Another ignoramus: www.ohsonline.com

I would rather take a chance on living in a world with a little excess CO2 than Obamacare.

Truly one of the worlds great deep thinkers and knows how to stay on topic too.

does that mean we will all have to walk around holding our noses or is that just the good looking woman sitting by me now????

Sitting in a crowded bus, wishfully thinking he owned a car so some good looking woman would sit by him voluntarily.

Another ignoramus: www.ohsonline.com

Hmm...I wonder if there is a difference between a confined space and the entire Earth?

And you have the nerve to complain about something being taken out of context? Laughable.

It's a toxic gas IB. Nuff said. OK?

You best learn the fine art of qualifying your remarks. It's not my problem you didn't know that.

It's a toxic gas

Then why don't we die as it travels through our lungs?

It's a toxic gas IB. Nuff said. OK?

Toxic to who??? Are you libs confusing carbon dioxide with carbon monoxide?

Compressed oxygen is toxic too, especially when it shoots out of an air compressor nozzle into your ear.

ringmaster takes his usual lumps.

It's a toxic gas IB. Nuff said. OK?

You best learn the fine art of qualifying your remarks. It's not my problem you didn't know that.

"Now, with this new ruling, the right wing crackpots have one more thing to complain about, but it doesn't change the fact that we need the EPA. Without them our water and air would be 10 times worse then China. Do you remember when Lake Erie was dead or are you just a young pup?

I remember when the air was so bad in LA that you couldn't see the mountains three blocks away from where I grew up."

Let's see...were you talking about a closet, or the Earth's atmosphere?

Oh look, there's that context thing you were whining about!

"Yep. All them damned commies tellin' the big boys what to do. Sucks don't it. God knows us little guys don't need clean air and water. WTF, we are all going to die anyway. Quality of life is for the rich and famous."

Yea right ringmaster, and it will be much too expensive for the likes of you when all those power plants now providing power to the grid are shuttered due to the EPA finding and newer more expensive plants are built to replace them. You think the utilities are going to somehow just suck that up?

Get used to a fundamental of capitalism. The cost gets passed down to the consumer. And you ringjob, are the idiot consumer.

Oh and just wait until the class action lawsuits start popping now that CO2 is hazardous to your health. A lawyers wet dream come true.

All those class action lawsuits against the tobacco companies? Not a red cent was paid by those tobacco companies. It is paid every day by the poor addicted smoker. Oh and by the way, once the cost of those class action lawsuits was bled off, the tobacco companies now make even more off of a pack.

Hey Ringjob, this straight from your link:

". However, we should note that dissolved CO2 levels were substantially higher than today in the geologic past, and organisms were able to cope with this OK, so apparently there can be some acclimation of populations to higher CO2. "

Substantially higher than today in the geologic past.

Say it again

". . .so apparaently there can be some acclimation of populations to higher CO2"

Fucking wingnut. You don't even read what you copy/paste before using it do you?

And your other link talks about CO2 at 6% by volume. That is impossible to attain in our atmosphere. The article you pulled this from is describing the effects of gases in what amounts to confined spaces.

Fucking wingnut. I'd tell you to go back to smoking your maui wowie, but that would be an insult to puffers everywhere.

A toxic gas? Wow, Ring, usually you're pretty sharp on things, but this is bazaar. Only when concentrations rise in the blood to create a severe metabolic acidosis could such be considered, and those concentrations are impossible in a normal environment. Perhaps you've watched Apollo 13 one too many times. Normal atmospheric concentration is 0.038%, as compared to oxygen's 20.8%. To get toxic concentrations you'd need thousands of times greater concentration. Just ain't going to happen. Even the EPA doesn't subscribe to that, they are still arguing the old global warming crap about greenhouse gases. Jump off the bandwagon and think for yourself, it'll do you good.

To BBoy and SJ. You claimed it is not toxic. I said it was a toxic gas. It is. OK? You never said anything about concentrations. You were wrong get over it. Don't blame me for your own ignorance. I did my homework in school.

Then why don't we die as it travels through our lungs?

That's a stupid question, but I'll help you out just this once on an obvious answer.

It's too low of a concentration. It's the same reason you didn't die when you took your last hit of arsenic laced LSD.

By your definition, Ring, everything is toxic, including water and oxygen. Get over yourself, you cannot create a definition for one substance without using the same definition for the same attributes for another substance. CO2 is no more, or less, toxic than water, oxygen, nitrogen, or any of another myriad of other such substances. If the EPA can regulate CO2 because of the toxicity you claim, then it can for oxygen and water as well. Seriously dumb reasoning on your part. By all measures of normal life, CO2 is not toxic. Liberals, however, are.

Fucking wingnut. I'd tell you to go back to smoking your maui wowie, but that would be an insult to puffers everywhere.

We smoke Kona Gold here on the Big Island. You should try some, but first you'll have to wash your mouth out with Lysol or it will taste like shit.

By all measures of normal life, CO2 is not toxic.

Just can't face the fact that you are wrong, can you.

For Christ sake quit the God damned whining already.

Fine, Ring, CO2 is toxic. Oxygen is toxic. Water is toxic. Nitrogen is toxic. Potassium is toxic. Calcium is toxic. Magnesium is toxic. Sodium is toxic. Carbon is toxic. Iron is toxic. What a fucking retard.

What a fucking retard.

Typical foul mouthed loser republican.

Ringmaster:
Weak lame assed support of arguments are toxic.

Power bills will cut into your ability to purchase kona gold big guy. But enjoy that 'clean power' big guy.

Sorry, shit-for-brains, I'm not a republican. Nor a Republican. Never have been. But seriously, when dealing with such as you and such absolutely idiotic arguments it's hard not to be occasionally foul mouthed. Sometimes it's merely appropriate, given the argument and the arguer.

So wait the EPA is saying that when I boil water and creat water vapor they're saying that the water vapor is harmful to my health?

Water vapor is 98% of our atmosphere and the greatest greenhouse gas on the planet.

Is the EPA saying that when I fart I'm harming myself?

Is exhaling harmful to me as well? Should I stop exhaling? Wait don't I have CO2 in my genes? Should we force co2 out of our genes? I mean it's harming me.

Should we ban farms and stop eating?

Should we focus all food to "bio fuels"? Who needs to eat right?

Should we kill all Carbon based life forms since all of these life forms produces green house gases - hence harmful to me?

Wait I'm dead already never mind.

Does no one see the irrational thinking of the EPA?

"Does no one see the irrational thinking of the EPA?"

I'm sure they do. But there are certain AGW idealogues who want that wonderful feeling of 'at least we are doing something' so they can look down their noses at you and accuse of some terrible sin like being on the take from the oil lobbyists or listening to a talk radio host or actually working for a living at something other than the government.

I'm reminded of Otter in Animal House:

"I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part."

Bluto: "We're just the guys to do it!"

We smoke Kona Gold here on the Big Island.

Ringmaster - You my friend are a fucK!

How the fuck can you even explain have the shit that you claim? My 5 year old has more kudos than you.

I kinda had to come back for this.

Beachbuzz -
Do you have any fucking idea what the word "kudo" means? (Then you probably shouldn't use it in a sentence, you fucking moron)

"My 5 year old has more kudos than you."

Flag: / Confuses kudos with Legos

Betleg - according to your mother, Kudo means I have your ass!

It's "kudos" as in "praises". Not literally, mind you, but thats essentially what it means.

Not "Kudo" nor is it plural like "I got many kudos". It's just KUDOS. Why? Because it's a slang term from the UK and therefore has different rules.

"My 5 year old has more kudos than you."
"Kudo means I have your ass!"

So your five-year old has more asses than Ringmaster?!? Sick.

Kudos to Alexandrite.

So your five-year old has more asses than Ringmaster?!? Sick.

We know his son has one BIG ONE for a daddy.

Well I glad you republicans like spokanejim are having such a good time denying your birthright and swearing up a storm. I know you all really love me else why beat yourself up trying to out swear each other just to get the last insult in? The main thing is I got your attention. Hahahahaha!

Co2 is toxic?

Remove it completely from our atmosphere and the entire food chain breaks down. Without it, life on this planet would cease to exist.

Whatever.

Let's just tax the shit out of carbon emmissions and permanently destroy what remains of our economy.

This is sheer stupidity, yet most lefties cheer this shit on.

For the sake of argument, let's assume these climate change computer models are perfectly accurate. These measures (Cap and trade, Kyoto, etc) will slow the rate of warming by 2100 by a whopping 5 to 10 years. In short, these measures that leftie morons are cheering for won't mean squat in terms of actually stopping or even slowing the rate of warming in any meaningful way.

You clowns are morons.

Co2 is heavier than air and is produced by nearly every living thing on earth. Even bacteria produce co2. It would stand to reason that if it were produced in higher quantities it would displace the oxygen and o2 levels would drop. Atmospheric oxygen is about 20.9. Not dropped as far as I know. This is just another tax/power scam. If enough people believed aliens were going to attack they would use that to raise taxes.

You're full of shit JeffJ. Global Warming is most definitely real. I went outside to get the morning newspaper and My Tallywacker wanted to do a 180 and retreat to warmeth and safety. Global Warming is bunk.

Let's rush health care through to save or create lives like the unstumulating Stimulus was rushed through to keep unemployment at 8% and save or create jobs at $256,889,712.00/job.

Obama and his merry men are a danger to the country's economic health.

"Obama and his merry men are a danger to the country's economic health."

But let me guess...you voted for Dubya?

Co2 is toxic?

Remove it completely from our atmosphere and the entire food chain breaks down. Without it, life on this planet would cease to exist.

Niacin from apples is toxic too. SO is Orange Juice.

Anything in severe amounts is toxic, jeff. Don't believe me? Spend the next 4 hours drinking water constantly and see how you feel. Does that mean we should burn up the oceans? NO. Your logic is flawed.

And to be fair, we are in total agreement HERE, jeff...

#162 says "But let me guess...you voted for Dubya?"

Nope. You're a bad guesser just like Obama and his economic advisers.

The Environmental Protection Agency's recent declaration that the life-sustaining gas carbon dioxide is a dangerous pollutant is part of an effort to establish "command-and-control" role for government. Command-and-control is a military term defined as the exercise of authority and direction by a designated commanding officer over assigned and attached forces in the accomplishment of the mission. In the case of the EPA, the mission is to impose the globalist climate change agenda on the United States. More specifically, the EPA threat to impose a military-style command-and-control over the economy is an effort to force congressional action on the climate change agenda.

EPA states that it will not wait for an agreement in Copenhagen and action on climate change legislation in Congress. Proposed legislation that passed the House is currently on hold in the Senate. The EPA official warned that the EPA's intervention will be a huge "deterrent to investment" and will inflict injury on an already damaged economy. Critics of the Obama administration point out the EPA's dictatorial edict is more evidence that the government is colluding with the "powers of financial capitalism," as Carroll Quigley of Georgetown University described the global elite, who are working to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. "This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements, arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences," explained Quigley.

The leak earlier this week of the "Danish text" demonstrates that secret agreements are being hatched behind the scenes at Copenhagen. Republicans have urged Jackson and the EPA to withdraw the finding on carbon dioxide in light of leaked emails from the Climate Research Unit that reveals how scientists manipulated climate data and threatened skeptics. Rep. James Sensenbrenner, the ranking Republican on the House Select Committee for Energy Independence and Global Warming, said yesterday he is will attend the Copenhagen conference and inform world leaders and climate change commissars that despite any promises made by Obama no new laws will be passed in the United States until the "scientific fascism" ends. "The U.N. should throw a red flag" on scientists who support the climate change fraud and are attempting to stifle dissent.

Lord Monckton said text of the Copenhagen agreement mandates a globalist power grab on an "unimaginable scale" by a "sinister dictatorship." Monckton described how a new world government outlined in the treaty would impose a 2% taxation on the GDP of the United States and "close down effectively the economies of the west" and "transfer your jobs to third world countries."
