Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Wednesday, December 02, 2009

British General Michael Rose, xxx, believes that former Prime Minister Tony Blair should be prosecuted for war crimes for beginning the Iraq War despite obtaining intelligence 10 days before the invasion that Iraq had "disassembled" its chemical weapons. "Britain was taken unprepared into war on false grounds, and the inevitable result was the destruction of Iraq, enormous loss of life and continuing political turmoil in the Middle East," he said.

Wouldn't it have been immensely funny if one of their intelligence agents was a member of the BushCo's American administration? Someone like Condi - a tad KGB.

Literally "in blood"?! Sadly, I believe it.

If Blair can be brought to the Hague it's only a matter of time until Bush, Cheney and friends. Then again, falling on their swords could make history broadcast via Internet. "If you want to bake an apple pie from scratch.."

The Chilcot Inquiry?

Ah, yes, the Brit governments attempt to appease the public outrage over the Iraq war debacle by "doing something" without actually doing anything.

Tony Blair, along with Bush, planned for the Iraq War long before the rationales for that war were given?

Knew that.

Blair along with Bush knew that there were no WMD in Iraq?

Knew that too.

Blair, Bush and Cheney are all war criminals who deserves to be tried for their crimes?

See above.

Sir William is quite correct in every thing he says in the above article.

Be Well.

/Back
stage left.

We also need to arrest President Obama for war crimes. His escalation of the illegal war in Afghanistan is a crime against humanity.

Yes.

It has been alleged that Blair was bribed millions in cash to drag England into Cheney's war, which BushCo proceeded to lose. The Brits used their resources more wisely than the Americans inclduing entering the country with far more translators at their disposal. Imagine letting the Iraqis sack every weapons depot, because you're in such a hurry and don't have enough people.

Blair is Shrub's poodle, with a far cuter smile than the smirking chimp or darth cheney. It would be a pitty if he were the only invader held accountable. But, you gotta start somewhere, might as well be Blair.

sounds like a great idea to set the precedent.

been away from Drudge for a long time doing business.. so.. you idiots are still calling for a Bush war crime trial huh?

Keep it up.. we need Republicans elected to congress.

What is it with people who disagree with a war so they demand the leaders of the countries at war be charged with war crimes? Hitler committed war crimes. Stalin committed war crimes. Bush, Blair, and Cheney are just the victims of rabid haters who's calls for war crime charges are baseless and unfounded.

They are war criminals dumbass. They waged a War of Aggression no different than Hitler only on scale. They deserve The Hague. They also committed crimes against Humanity as well. I am sorry that You can not understand it but Dubya Cheney and Blair deserve nothing less than to rot in prison for the rest of their natural lives.

Larry

His escalation of the illegal war in Afghanistan is a crime against humanity.

It is supported by an Act of Congress and a UN mandate. Bush's invasion of afghanistan wasn't illegal, just inept.

Like everything else he did.

Yawn...old argument that saw it's shelf life expire over two years ago. Next topic please.

The Brits' reprt is due out late spring, early summer and it ain't going to make the pro-invaders and their political lackeys look good.

Just in time for the mid-terms.....

Well, I think that in thier Parliamentary system the Houses have to pass funding bills to authorize spending. If you are going to take Blair, you better take all of the other crooks that voted to fund that mess. And I know all of the libs will chime in " Well they were fed false information". To which I respond BS, they should have demanded a very narrowly defined mission with a beggining and end and also required an independent intel report.

The House members are just as responsible as that crooked tooth Blair. This guy sounds just like that pathetic libs boo hooing about putting Bush/Cheney on trial for war crimes.

If you are going to take Blair, you better take all of the other crooks that voted to fund that mess.

Works for me.

someone needs to say wtf is really going on...

If the Chinese had invaded Iraq on the premise that SH had chemical wepons before we did this would have been a disaster.

The 3rd largest oil reserve in the world was taken by the US and GB Period. before anyone else got to it. Thats it plain and simple.

Prediction: America's Criminal Govt. Won't Bring Themselves...to Justice!!!

It then logically follows that Dubya Bush,Dick Cheney,Donald Rumsfeld,John Ashcroft,Condi Rice,Colin Powell and the rest of the Bush Regime including their Big Oil Company pals, should be indicted and tried for War Crimes - this of course will never happen in a country as inherently and abjectly corrupt as America. The proof is that War Criminals like Henry Kissinger,Bill Clinton and the Bushes still walk around free and with total immunity for their murderous crimes! These Political Crooks will never police or indict themselves and their catch-22...anybody else who tries to do it is branded as a traitor or a terrorist!

If we were attacked again there is no way BushCo could stop all of it's people from leaking what they know about 9/11. An entire shift at NORAD were replaced to under-perform and operate on cue.

Curiously, military compliance was pre-planned with military persons. Traitors come in all stripes.

After how many modern Aghanistan invasions did the United States military conclude in 2001 that the unarmored Humvee is the best desert war vehicle? Easily countered by IED's it's become contracted technology that consequently promotes maximum casualties.

BushCo methods and rationale are indicative of traitorous war profiteering including corporate fascism colluding for long-term economic dependencies. Corporate neo-con Zionist hawks have profit greatly from United States political and military compliance since the events of September eleventh. According to Sir William it's because they planned it for over a year.

Surrounding Polanski and his associations, what hasn't been reported much is that he was working on a film based loosely on Tony Blair at the time of his arrest. A film based on a book which finds the fictionalized Blair character not only sent UK citizens to Guantanamo and black sites for interrogation, a war crime in Europe, but also was recruited by and worked for the US Central Intelligence Agency.

The book, called The Ghost, was written by British author Robert Harris. A thinly-veiled version of Tony Blair, a recently-retired prime minister named Adam Lang hires a ghost-writer to complete an autobiography left unfinished by the last ghost-writer, who died under mysterious circumstances. As the main character reviews material for the project, he uncovers the former PM's war crimes, finds his wife was a CIA agent and finally concludes, based on information floating around on websites and conversations with personal contacts, that Lang is a CIA agent as well, although, unlike the war crimes allegations, he can't prove it.

Harris told the UK Guardian before publication: "The day this appears a writ might come through the door."

Switzerland's arrest of Polanski effectively puts the almost-finished film project on hold, pending his extradition to the US or his release. Sources close to the film report most of the actual filming is complete, but it lacks a soundtrack and needs further editing.

The Bush Administration lied to Congress prewar and used Executive Powers post invasion to block pertinent testimony. When all the facts are uncovered Bush, Cheney, and friends should be liable to face war crimes charges. Americans know we were lied into Iraq.

Yawn... Bush and Blair sent thousands of Americans and Brits to their unnecessary deaths. Old news, eh?
