Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The president, whose job-approval ratings have been on a steady slide, hasn't held a formal news conference in 19 weeks, since July 22. That one ended badly, when Mr. Obama waded into a racial controversy by saying a white police officer "acted stupidly" when he arrested a black Harvard professor.

"What the hell do they think we are, puppets?" Thomas said. "They're supposed to stay out of our business. They are our public servants. We pay them."

Thomas said she was especially concerned about the arrangement between the Obama Administration and a writer from the liberal Huffington Post Web site. The writer was invited by the White House to President Obama's press conference last week on the understanding that he would ask Obama a question about Iran from among questions that had been sent to him by people in Iran.

"When you call the reporter the night before you know damn well what they are going to ask to control you," Thomas said.

It'll be real progress when the media start ignoring him.

Yes, he is avoiding what you all define every day as the libruul media -------- You know the one, the mysterious and invisible entity that's been holding you and your ideology back from being "personally responsible" and all that crap.

Another day, another tortured and contradicting idea by a WingDing.

One day they love him and do his bidding ----- the next day you say he avoids them.

You fuckers Really are that Stupid!

I, for one am happy he's staying out of the spotlight. My speech therapist is pissed that I've been cancelling appointments, however. -Robert Gibbs

Helen Thomas "a liberal" White House correspondent stated Obama thinks we are a bunch of puppets, if she can figure it out you should be able to as well...

In addition Obama's press conference time table is an indisputable fact...

What?!

The Press whining about lack of access to the Prez?

Why, that's never happened before!!

"Veteran White House reporters have been grumbling about the lack of access to the president, who as a candidate vowed an unprecedented level of transparency."

We all know what happened to Hope and Change and now Transparency with the "Liberal Press". Well at least Obama is Three out of Three...

Where's Null Set with his "Obama Watch," counting the days since his last press conference? We all saw how important it was to liberals that Sarah Palin give a news conference - can we expect the same scrutiny with regard to Obama?

He's just being groomed. More lipstick on a pig.

Thanks for reminding me, Joe. One year later, and Sarah! still is ducking Meet the Press, Face the Nation, This Week, etc. The reason, of course, is that she's too fucking stupid to get through a serious interview without a making a fool of herself...again.

Are you performing the same count as to a public official who actually matters, i.e. the president? Or do you only care whether some hick from Alaska who doesn't even hold elected office gives a press conference?

He's still wee wee'd up from the kick in the ass Major Garret gave him.

" Or do you only care whether some hick from Alaska who doesn't even hold elected office gives a press conference?"

That hick happens to be one of the two or three top contenders for the Republican nomination, and the only one who is afraid to go on the Sunday talk shows. Romney's not afraid. Huckabee is not afraid. Bobby Hindu is not afraid, etc.

"Helen Thomas "a liberal" White House correspondent stated Obama thinks we are a bunch of puppets, if she can figure it out you should be able to as well..."

Apparently I don't react and jump on a command from the "libruuul" media as eagerly as you do.

Now who's the fucking puppet again?

That hick happens to be one of the two or three top contenders for the Republican nomination

Again - why do you care so much about "contenders" and not whether the actual president gives news conferences?

"In addition Obama's press conference time table is an indisputable fact..."

You know what's indisputable here ------- you penchant for selectively grabbing from the MSM the "facts" you like, and your total lack of principle concerning your previous position(s) when hearing of reporting you don't like.

That's my point.

One day the MSM is out to get you, then the next day you're pointing to them as the sole arbitrator of truth.

Its indisputable that you have absolutely no principle.

RedCocoSamVille, it's possible to have a media that is slanted to one side of the political spectrum, and still have a person from that side say something that makes them look foolish while appearing before the media. Are you actually so incompetent that you don't understand that?

"selectively grabbing from the MSM the "facts" you like"

Possibly you failed to notice it is the Liberal MSM who is complaining about "Transparency" for a change, can you really not see the Irony in that...

CNSNews.com) - Following a testy exchange during Wednesday's briefing with White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas told CNSNews.com that not even Richard Nixon tried to control the press the way President Obama is trying to control the press.

"Nixon didn't try to do that," Thomas said. "They couldn't control (the media). They didn't try.

"What the hell do they think we are, puppets?" Thomas said. "They're supposed to stay out of our business. They are our public servants. We pay them."

Now who's the fucking puppet again?

Obama is about as transparent as a Black Hole, the "liberal" news media is just now beginning to wake up to the realization they helped elect Obama who is anything but Transparent, thus all the dissention in the Liberal media. Obama made the campaign promise to have unprecedented Transparency and the MSM is just know calling him on it

The only real surprise is Helen Thomas was way ahead of the curve in complaining that even Nixon did not try to manage and control the media in such an unprecedented way...

""Possibly you failed to notice it is the Liberal MSM who is complaining about "Transparency" for a change, can you really not see the Irony in that..."

Yes, I did miss that. I missed that because I don't pretend there is some invisible line delineating the good MSM from the bad MSM based on what coincides with what you want to hear.
Talk about Irony (and a demonstration of some really fucked up "principles")!

It's guaranteed that next week when some reporting comes out that you don't like, you will be back to the "lying media carrying obamas water" meme.

"Veteran White House reporters have been grumbling about the lack of access to the president, who as a candidate vowed an unprecedented level of transparency."

I never said the liberal news media was doing a good job of reporting on what Helen Thomas said best. In fact it is quite the opposite the liberal news media for the most part is asleep on this story as well. I slam the MSM every chance I get for doing such a piss poor job of reporting the news, it's a sad day when Helen Thomas is one of the few with enough balls to question the lack of access and control now being instituted by the Obama administration...
