'He talks too much," a Saudi academic in Jeddah, who had once been smitten with Barack Obama, recently observed to me of America's 44th president. He has wearied of Mr. Obama and now does not bother with the Obama oratory.

He is hardly alone, this academic. In the endless chatter of this region, and in the commentaries offered by the press, the theme is one of disappointment. In the Arab-Islamic world, Barack Obama has come down to earth.

"Mr. Obama has himself to blame for the disarray of his foreign policy. American arms had won a decent outcome in Iraq, but Mr. Obama would not claim itit was his predecessor's war. Vigilance had kept the American homeland safe from terrorist attacks for seven long years under his predecessors, but he could never grant Bush policies the honor and credit they deserved. He had declared Afghanistan a war of necessity, but he seems to have his eye on the road out even as he is set to announce a troop increase in an address to be delivered tomorrow."

What!?

A WSJ editorial critical of Obama?

And the Chumpel posting it?
Why, how could that be?

This is the Thread where a self proclaimed "Defender of Democracy" looks to a Monarchy for guidance and validation of his beliefs.

Corky will find one of the Hollywood elite's editorials to offset the WSJ. Maybe from the broad who made him look like a fool at the party this weekend.

Fuck the Saudis and the camels they rode in on.

-Fuck the Saudis and the camels they rode in on.

You'll have to get the Chumpel to step aside first.

"Brown Cow"

Whew! Chumpel's reeking of manure today.

You'll have to get the Chumpel to step aside first.

I'm sure he's not using all of the... space... available to him inside of the camel. He would probably be open to sharing.

Now, I do love me a good black cow.......no, no not Michelle....the one with Root Beer in it.

Wasn't this his campaign strategy. He would have a dialogue with our enemies. The result is they complain that he talks too much. LMAO.

The cartoon was a lie. It showed Obama looking straight ahead and no teleprompters.

When the state run media says Obama is well read they didn't tell us it was all because of his teleprompter.

Well, you know what he says and thinks....

Me, me, me.................

The Obama diplomacy had made a settlement freeze its starting point, when this was precisely the wrong place to begin.
Israel has given up settlements before at the altar of peacerecall the historical accommodation with Egypt a quarter century ago. The right course would have set the question of settlements aside as it took up the broader challenge of radicalism in the regionthe menace and swagger of Iran, the arsenal of Hamas and Hezbollah, the refusal of the Arab order of power to embrace in broad daylight the cause of peace with Israel. ..

You are attempting to claim that Arabs are concerned for Israel "giving up settlements"?! This has little logic, but I'm willing to listen.

Also, which settlements and where? The ones in Palestine are not being revoked - but there is a couple month moratorium on stealing new ones until the Israeli construction season begins.
