It was pretty clear from the first reports to me that it was not suicide. I think anyone who threw that out there has no reason to back off now because they had no reason to say it in the first place.

If this is really a suicide, I have 4 theories:
1. His life insurance policy doesn't pay out on suicides.
2. He had the same desire for post-mortem fame as the folks who shoot up post offices and malls knowing the cops are going to take them out. Under this theory, he was basically a decent, though disturbed, guy and didn't want to kill anyone else in his final blaze of glory. Look how famous he became in death.
3. President Obama and the Illuminati did it. It was a ploy to make right-wingers look even crazier.
4. George W. Bush killed the guy during a ritual at Bohemian Grove. He was too drunk to decide whether to stage a murder or suicide and managed to confuse everybody.

Sometimes witnesses appear during the course of an investigation. That's how investigations work. It's not like this story has been out there for months or years. The witness may not have gone to the media.
