Republican leaders are circulating a resolution listing 10 positions Republican candidates should support if they want party backing. Candidates, the resolution says, need to demonstrate that they are faithful to "conservative principles and public policies and Republican solidarity in opposition to Obama's socialist agenda." Conservative RNC member James Bopp Jr., who is circulating the proposal, said, "I think we have a very urgent task as Republicans and that is to reclaim our conservative bona fides and supporting liberal Republican party-splitters is very damaging to that task."

Go, Repubs, go! Excommunicate anyone not scoring 100%. You will surely be purer than The Rest Of Us, and politically irrelevant for many many years to come. herm

WHEREAS, the Republican National Committee desires to implement Zombie President Reagan's Unity Principle, one human head in every pot.

I'm just not sure about this one.....

If you really read the thing it is the opposite of a purity test. It rreally is an attempt to bring back in the Teabaggers by getting Republicans to support any one who only violates up to 2 of the 10 basic tenets.

Suits me. If you put on the pompoms for the BushBama bailouts, you may as well be a Democrat. Ditto for this godawful healthcare legislation.

Better to have Democrats than limp-wristed Republicans who are just out for re-election. At least conservatives know what the score is when a Dumbo is in the seat.

At least conservatives know what the score is when a Dumbo is in the seat.

As long as they are keeping score from the sidelines, I am happy.

Waiting to cut out the deadwood,
Waiting to clean up the city
Waiting for the worms.

Waiting to put on a black shirt
Waiting to weed out the weaklings
Waiting to smash in their windows
And kick in their doors

Waiting for the final solution
To strenghten the strain.......

As long as they are keeping score from the sidelines, I am happy.

I'm sure you are. Most libbies are happy. The economy is booming, deficit is plunging, American troops winning victory after victory in Afghanistan. Everything's going swimmingly. Great work! In fact, I owe you an apology, for thinking that Obama was just an empty suit. Gobama! Ya-ho Silver!

That was uncalled for! Welll....

As much as I loathe the Democratic Party leaders and tactics, I'd have a hard time supporting this turd.

I suggests Republicans pee on litmus paper. If it turns blue, they can stay in the Party. If it turns pink, they have to leave. Maybe a home-pregnancy test would work just as well.

We are going about trying to take advantage of the many weaknesses in the Democratic Party in 2010 in the wrong way. Let Republican candidates be independent. We don't need to lock-step our way into (Congressional) power.

The RNC is a joke.

At least conservatives know what the score is

They sure do.

Dems 3 them 0.

I know Jimmah! And you're doin' great!

"conservative principles and public policies and Republican solidarity

(1) We support smaller government, smaller national debt, lower deficits and lower taxes by opposing bills like Obama's "stimulus" bill;

and the very first "principle" is a blatant lie.

Un fucking believable that they would actually try to push this lie on the American public. The sheer arrogance of them should be reason enough to never vote for them again.

Perhaps the Republicans will use this test in order to simply have less candidates. After all, losing candidates still cost money.

and the very first "principle" is a blatant lie.

Of course it is, they're Republicans.

by opposing bills like Obama's "stimulus" bill;

We will, however take the money for our state or district.

Haven't heard of any GOPpers in DC demanding no communistic stimulus money be spent in their area. In fact, I remember one anti-auto bailout GOPper whining because some car dealers weren't saved in his Ohio district.

Morons.

North - That's the problem with pork barrel spending. Constituent's hate it when it isn't going to a district they are in. The only way to solve it would be to have people in one state vote for a Senator or Rep from another state, in a constant changing pattern.

That would be pretty sweet except for the fact that the Congressman wouldn't really care about the district he was representing.

These people are fools. Here Obama and the Dems are handing them the mid-term elections on a platter and they are fooling around with crapp like this.

They do not deserve to be elected.

LMMFAO!

Done in the name of Reagan?
WHEREAS, President Ronald Reagan...
WHEREAS, President Ronald Reagan...
WHEREAS, President Ronald Reagan... etc., etc,. etc...

Reagan wouldn't have passed this test.

This confuses libtards of course.

They don't whether to piss their pants over the obvious hypocrisy or piss their pants over the positions themselves.

Puzzling, todays polls say the Insular Party is catching up to the dems and voters are almost even with party preference. Puzzling, when the Insulars are against eveything and now wants to perform a Hitler type of cleansing, how is it possible that any independent anywhere would support them. What are they doing to level the playing field so? I think these polss are artificial. People are pissed at dems right now for whatever reason may be, but when it time to put up, it would amaze me if Insulars recieved much support. Oh wait, my bad, the dems are idiots too. They cant get out of there own way. We are screwed.

"They do not deserve to be elected."

If they fuck this up then you are absolutely correct sir.

He had me until he said "Republican solidarity in opposition to Obama's socialist agenda."

Obama is not in charge of the agenda--Pelosi and Reid are.
------

The point is common sense--a conservative common sense to what is going on in DC.

Cut spending, lower taxes, balance the budget would be nice, smaller gov't and national security.

And if the candidate is agreeable 80% of the time--vote them in.

No one is a perfect conservative. So 80% is ok by me.

Cut spending, lower taxes, balance the budget would be nice

How about Great Depression II?

Won't that be fun.

Check the housing market news from yesterday, economic growth, and stock market, then look up "lagging indicator" on google. Compare to how it was when your crew handed the ball over just a few months ago. Can't wait to hear your tiresome bullshitish spin next year when the tragic unemployment rate stabilizes and then reverses.

Can't wait to hear your tiresome bullshitish spin next year when the tragic unemployment rate stabilizes and then reverses.

What if it doesn't?

"WHEREAS, President Ronald Reagan believed..."

Yet I get attacked every time I bring up the Lord God Reagan's name....as if he isn't still the head of the Republican Party. I think I'll be remembering this little gem.

I thought O'bama was the second coming, not Ronnie

Ready the responses from the idiot libul's is amusing. Please tell the Demorats do not have a 'purity test', aka abortion rights, high taxes for wealthy, government entitlements.

What a bunch of knuckle heads.

Please tell the Demorats do not have a 'purity test'

Haven't been paying attention to the health care debate?

These 10 points are a complete joke, and what's genuinely funny is most of them fly in the face of the practices of the GOP for 30 years.

Which is exactly why so many conservatives have abandoned the GOP during the Bush years resulting in the election of Obama.

As I said, Reagan wouldn't have passed this test. You blame Bush, but the handwriting's been clear for decades. You were good with it then, but when Bush became utterly discredited - you found your whipping boy.

Sorry but this new found concern for "conservative principles" (as I said) fly in the face of (at least) the last 30 years of GOP practice, not just the last 2 years of Bush.

Well, the economic growth number was just revised downward, from 3.5% to 2.8%. A big miss, considering.

But if it all works out, I'll give Bush and Obama a lot of credit. And we'll know how to fix it next time: just borrow a couple of trillion dollars, give it to the investment banks, and wait for it to trickle down.

GoGoBama!

"The economy is booming, deficit is plunging, American troops winning victory after victory in Afghanistan. Everything's going swimmingly. Great work!"

RIR really has to stop quoting McCain's 2008 campaign speeches.

btw-If the NOPpers are looking for purity, does that disqualify Prejean? Or does she get a hand in, err up?

Politicians and purity.

Say it a few times.

Either a massive coverup is required or the Rethuglicans will be leaving poltiics.

Why in hell would they want to become even more like...

...Democrats?

Abortion: check
Tax increases: check
Bailouts to friends: check
Free healthcare, housing, and food: check
Ignoring corruption of leaders: check
Support using skin color when allocating resources: check

check, check, and check - yep, you're a Democrat!

"a resolution listing 10 positions Republican candidates should support"

Which positions?

Fiscal sanity, or turning surpluses into deficits?
Small government, or expanding government?
States' rights, or butting in when it's based on ideology?
Marital fidelity, or diapers & mistresses?
Staying out of people's lives, or going into their bedrooms?

These 10 points are a complete joke, and what's genuinely funny is most of them fly in the face of the practices of the GOP for 30 years.

Not really. About 6 years. Remember the DEMS ran congress the last two years of Bush. Bush was a social conservative and a fiscal liberal(aka idiot).

They invoke Reagan's name alot......even though Ronald Reagan wouldn't even be allowed in the party using this criteria.

Please tell the Demorats do not have a 'purity test', aka abortion rights

Somebody missed the whole abortion funding in the health care package infight, I guess.

Reality and the right...

The Dems would never do such a thing!!
