That would be Tax Cheat of the United States.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is coming under new pressure from conservative Republicans and liberal Democrats to resign.

Reps. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) and Kevin Brady (R-Texas) this week joined a small group of lawmakers publicly calling for Geithner to step down. Former Republican Rep. Rob Simmons, who is challenging Sen. Chris Dodd (D) for Senate in Connecticut, has made Geithner's resignation a campaign issue.

"But some Democratic senators have also expressed concern with Geithner this month. During an interview with MSNBC on Nov. 2, Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) said she was "not sure" why Geithner still held his job. Cantwell called Geithner's financial overhaul plans "appalling.""

dont forget about burgess..ALSO FROM TEXAS

he told the tax cheat that he didnt think he should resign,..he should never have been hired in the first place and TO THINK of all those asshole republican senators who voted FOR HIM
IM still pissed at that

Cantwell called Geithner's financial overhaul plans "appalling."
I don't know about that, I've been told here numerous times that there was nothing else we could do, and that questioning them meant wanting the president and America to fail.

I believe the real problem behind most of this is his part in the money to wall street.
havent seen enough articles to know much about it
something about toxic assets and some problem about who got what or something

If Geithner existed in a vacuum, I might believe that his resignation could do some good, but he doesn't, so it won't.

"CBS's 'Early Show' Skips Grilling of Geithner, Lawmakers Calling for Resignation"

"CBS's Evening News also did not cover the story on Thursday, unlike ABC's World News and NBC's Nightly News. Both of those shows did and featured the calls for resignation."

What's with your fucking obsession with Hagbard and abortion, muffin boy?

I disagree with that. He should never have been appointed to begin with. Just because everyone else he works with is a shitbag, doesn't mean that we shouldn't get rid of one of them.

Leave him alone, nulli. I have a blast with this guy.

That said, I don't know why abortion is wrapped up in his infatuation with me.

That's not what I said.

I just don't think that replacing him would be anything more than a cosmetic change when the President's entire economic team is from the same school.

He's the head of the Treasury. If replacing him with someone different would effect no change, then what exactly does he do?

#11 lmao!

As many attention whores as there are around here, I think you pegged the biggest catch.

At least we know from another thread today who is worshipped in his Chapel..... Glen Beck.

I don't even know how I got so lucky.

Must a personnel move effect change? I don't have an answer for you.

Great jorb there Dorkles. King of the roost you are.

Congrats!

HC loves abortion as we all know and likes to tinker with when life is life. So.....

Anytime, anywhere it will be pointed out.

Just like the Dork and his thinking he is the owner of the site and metes out his "payback". LOL.

So, Celine is Saline and Cork is Dork. Or is it Mork from Ork?

Or whatever.

Must a personnel move effect change?

Clearly those calling for his replacement want someone who will do things differently. But I guess the answer to your question is, no, not if you replace him with the exact same type of person.

LOL, where do you get your ideas from? I generally steer clear of the abortion debate. I think one time a couple of weeks ago I made a comment critiquing someone's use of a term in their argument. Was that you?

"So, Celine is Saline....."

You should try some because I think there is something in your eyes that's affecting your reading comprehension.

That's my point. If the person doing the appointing does not concede that the philosophy that led the President to choose Geithner in the first place is flawed, then you can't expect the replacement to be substantively different. That was all I was saying.

Unfortunately, the removal of Geithner will do very little to remove the lips of the rest of the economic team from Goldman's Sack.

Does that make Timmy (say it like SouthPark) a teabagger too?

Chapel, take your butt hurt somewhere else, this thread is for discussing Obama's horrible choice and lack of leadership in picking Timothy Geithner for the Treasury. You're distracting from it.

You're distracting from it.

I apologize for encouraging him.

I apologize for encouraging him.

#24 | Posted by Hagbard_Celine at 2009-11-20 04:39 PM

No need to apologize, you were just re-trolling the troll.

Live or die.....funny, the non choice of a baby in the womb coincidentally....

My thread so bug off.

And yes, why does Geithner the TCOTUS get a pass?

And anyone with Celine in their name is suspect.

I do not like Celine Dion either. Although I do not know if she is a rabid abortion supporter, her singing makes one think it could do the job.

"And anyone with Celine in their name is suspect."

You have a point there, Niceville.

I wonder whatever happened to that Dys Joint Ed fellow?

Man was he ever a douche.

Another Niceville thread?

kevin brady is the rep from the district right next to mine. shame I cant vote for him

The 'rat man' Thimmy is an albotross around Obama's neck.

Wouldn't matter much since Obama would pick another GS guy to replace him.

It's a small group now. In a month, it'll be bigger. In three, when it's obvious the economy isn't improving and a fall guy is needed, Obama will be calling a press conference, and informing us that he is "regretfully" accepting Geithner's resignation.

They just found out he was a new york banking jew.
