Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Friday, November 20, 2009

A 15-year-old boy who was killed by his father in an execution style killing spent the last moments of his life pleading, "No, Daddy! No!" Jamar Pinkney Jr. was shot in the head Monday by his 37-year-old father, Jamar Pinkney Sr., who allegedly made the teen strip his clothes off and kneel in a vacant lot before he was killed by a single bullet. The boy's mother, Lazette Cherry, told the Detroit Free Press that Pinkney Sr., showed up at her Highland Park, Mich., home after she told him that their son had made a startling confession. According to Cherry, the 15-year-old had admitted to having "inappropriate contact" with his 3-year-old half-sister.

Wow.

Just wow.

I am sure this news will please the "culture of life" crowd. Might even give them a tingle up their leg.

Not as much as an Obama speech does to your crowd, though.

Gobama!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

What a horrible story.

Isn't MI a blue state?

Good morning everybody! Happy Friday!

The principal at Martin Luther King Jr. High School...

There's a real shocker!

Jamar? Muslim I suppose. Curiosity put the boy in harms way. Religion, manifested as mandatory modesty, led to his Fathers extreme behavior. How about grounding the kid for a month?

Compare this to the KBB drug and gang rape case. The justice system they don't do nothing, since Corporations have more rights by virtue of wealth than human beings.

Justice need not be severe to be effective but it must be swift. In this respect western justice fails completely, unless you are very poor, then you can be innocent and swiftly punished.

Volunteers at the high school where Pinkney Jr. was a sophomore said the teen was "always smiling," according to The Detroit News.

In light of what he admitted to doing to the half-sister, this is disturbing.

I can't believe there aren't any "NRA" comments from the empty heads. Oh, Cocosamville and Northguy must be sleeping in this morning.

How about grounding the kid for a month?-Nutcase

For molesting a 3 year old girl you suggest grounding for a month? I don't know who's more screwed up, you or the dad in the story, or the kid who got killed.

Come on Everlong,

A whole month without Xbox360?...with that cool new war game out?... I don't think we'd deny terrorists an Xbox for a month as that would amount to torture.

note the above is extreme sarcasm

I would cut off mtv as well

The boy should have been removed from the house and placed in Juvie but to kill him is terribly sad.

That dad is gonna learn what 'molestation' is all about as soon as he goes to the butt-humping section of the local prison.

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. It's commie red.

I guess that prevents the boy from talking...

...about when he was 3 years old...

...and a certain somebody molested him.

Were they living in Canada at the time?

this man did the world a favor

like it or not

2 birds 1 stone

Good job, Dad. Little SOB got his just desserts...

The kid confessed which means he must have been bothered by what he did. Shooting him was unacceptable. Giving him to the police would be pretty shitty too. This is something the family should have dealt with. 15 years old? I'm pretty sure some serious therapy would have helped to figured out what his deal is.

And the father works for the U.S.P.O...

Gives whole new meaning to "going postal".

Meanwhile, the community where the child was raised is mourning the loss of a boy they say was known by friends as "teddy bear."
wtf...

Kids who molest, more often than not were molested themselves (studies say upwards of 57%, some say as high as 98%--i think the higher number is suspect).

Makes you wonder.

Oh, and those who brought politics in to this? Shame.

In a red state the murder would be the result of a lover's triangle.

Dad was just jealous... happens a lot in Maine.

"I wish this had happened in Texas so I could whine about it"

You must understand that I can't FF anything so deserved out from this kind of thread, but that was quite appropriate.

I wholly agree. This situation required help, not a hatchet. Hopefully the baby won't remember anything.

As Broke as the 10 Commandments!

Gee you don't think the son was influenced early by his father's non-christian example???

While not a supporter of the death penalty in general, I find it hard to muster sympathy for a guy who will molest his little sister. I'm not sure what's out of bounds for a sicko like that.

Is the outrage because of his age? It's not like there's not a juvenile in Guantanamo who doesn't go around raping 3 y/o's.

"Dad Murders Son for Molesting Sister"

No I didn't read the story.
I have, however, known in a volunteer capacity many abused girls.

My ex is a past president of the Settlement Club: www.settlementhome.org

I had to wonder if it was jealousy.

How incredibly sad.

What is going on with people?

If I am on the jury, he walks.

Mixed feelings....

One hand.... don't fuck with my kid....

Other hand...its your kid.

Was thinking about this as I walked my dog a little while ago.

This really bothers me:
Pinkney Sr. began by pistol whipping his son in the living room where the teen lived with his mother before taking him outside, despite Cherry's pleas to stop.

The father marched the naked boy into the lot and made him kneel down. As the boy pleaded for his life and his distraught mother looked on, Pinkney Sr. allegedly executed the boy with a shot in the head.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Other than verbal pleas, the mother did nothing to stop it. No indication that the police were contacted or even involved until after the fact, and I'm sorry, but come hell or high water, I'd give my life to protect the life of my kids.

While what the kid did (or didnt) do is pretty reprehensible, killing him only fucks the family up worse.

Kind of negates the moral high ground the father may have had.

I mean, what's worse, having something happen that, disgusting as it is, probably wont ever be remembered,

or

living a life with the stigma of having a brother killed by his father and probably spending the rest of his life in prison for it.

Couple that with the knowledge that "Mommy" would rather watch you die than actually intervene, even if it was her step son?

Be interesting to see, after this kind of burden, what kind of person she becomes in about 15 years.

Then again, maybe the mother knew the outcome and was pissed off enough to let it happen because the boy was only her stepson and the daught was flesh and blood....dunno..

Crazy fucking world.

I agree with most of your post.

I wouldn't be standing there watching. I'd be wrestling for that gun, giving my son time to run.

What the boy did was wrong. And would have been dealt with.

There was no need for killing him nor should mother have just stood by.

Detroit, go figure
