Well, rtards-did ACORN steal that one too?

ACORN killed the baby jesus.

ACORN killed the dinosaurs.

But Bush killed Tony Blair's dream.

Smoke filled room Democracy?????????

Rompuy, its short for Rumplestiltskin.

All ACORN did was to make Obama look like a criminal by association. That's politics.

So one president was picked by 27 others. Excuse me if I don't exactly see that as Democracy in action.

Whatever floats their boat though. It must be nice to throw Belgium a bone from time to time, to make them feel important. Maybe Liechtenstein can be president next year.

The Final Countdown

Europe fucking sucked!
-Asia

obama is the first black president, the first pacific president, why didn't he run for this ?

You both sucked!
-Foreigner

Why the large font? It fuckin' europe, for crying out loud....

Europe...They're about as significant as Canada or Iceland.

The gross domestic product of the European Union is 16.2 trillion dollars, which is bigger than the United States at 14.4 trillion. The more Europe acts as a unified government, the more significant it becomes as a world superpower.

A unified europe? Good luck. HAhahahahahaha!

The European Union has a larger GDP and better educated population than the USA, even though no individual country can compare to us. They also have minumum 6 weeks vacation, free health care and guaranteed retirement. Here, outside Government jobs, all that is not available or a risky gamble.

Maybe Liechtenstein can be president next year.

There are more registered corporations in Liechtenstein than people. With that in mind, it seems like they'd be fine overlords for our "democracy".

King chosen for Europe. Again.

That's better.

This stands to reason since Belgium is somewhat up and coming in the monetary world system of things, not to mention the diamond capitol of the world - very interesting.

Of course, to put this in perspective, Nanc thinks the smell of her fingers after cutting her toenails is also "very interesting."

Europe...They're about as significant as Canada or Iceland.

And yet Bush begged all three of them for help.

#19 | Posted by mOntecOre - I wouldn't have a clue about that, but you've obviously given it some hard thought...or practice perhaps?

#19 - funny. Utterly gratuitous, uncalled for, and out of left field, but funny.

"Europe...They're about as significant as Canada or Iceland."

formerly referred to by the DR "conservatives" as the "Coalition of the Willing"

I don't think this whole EU thing will work.

Europe is far too diverse in their cumulative cultures as well as individual interests.

A grand European state is doomed to fail IMO.

That sounds really nice, but they are imploding and their long-term trajectory is far worse than ours.

THAT degree of socialism has always failed long-term.

Always.

"This stands to reason since Belgium"
"This stands to reason since Belgium"

YEAH!

when a wingding starts spouting on about "reason" it makes me reminisce about the time we had some idiots in congress wanting to rename "French fries" to "freedom fries" ---------- even though they are actually from Belgium.

"THAT degree of socialism has always failed long-term. Always."

Well, depending on your definition of "always"...everything fails...long term.

"This stands to reason since Belgium"

YEAH!

when a wingding starts spouting on about their "reasoning" it makes me reminisce about the time we had some idiots in congress and the WH who used the federal government to intervene in a state/family issue while simultaneously spewing a lie that they are for states rights and personal freedoms.

Why are liberals so butt-hurt over ACORN?

From the article:
"Van Rompuy, a 62-year-old, soft-spoken fan of Japanese poetry, will become the face of European Union and represent its 27 member nations at summits overseas."

Who writes this drivel?
How do haikus relate to
Europe's president?

Herman, dude, you really should see a good hair stylist. or if you are going for that, 'i just got out of bed look', I think you've got it.

Cause you're a powerful man now (snickers), you're the PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION!!! Bwa-haa-haaa. What power!!!! Ahhhhhh-hhhhaaaaahhhhhh-
hhhaaaaaaa.

Europe picked it's first President?

Bit o' history right there.

And the Rtards snear?

Lawls.

Not too bright is they?

A unified Europe lead by the German industrial powerhouse will be a significant competitor to American interests.

Make fun of 'em all you like they still have a standard of living that puts most Americans to shame.

Not that you'll ever hear about it on FOX news or anything.

Just saying.

Not sure about the choice of this guy from Belgium.

The new European president needs to look decisive.

Last thing they need is a... (wait fer it) ...Waffler!

* ducks *

Be Well.

I present you, Merry, president of Middle Earth.

...wonder what i said to get montecore to reminiscing about his mother and trying to project her on me...

"THAT degree of socialism has always failed long-term.

Always."

First you'll have to find another time in history when the same amount of socialism was part of an economy. CAn't compare it to USSR because that was full blown Communism. Can't compare it to China because they evolved from full blown Communism to soft Fascism. So, what are you going to compare it to???
Without an example for comparison your statement is basicly just an expression of your opinion without any factual evidence to back it up.
In other words meaningless.

"So one president was picked by 27 others. Excuse me if I don't exactly see that as Democracy in action."

A Politburo by any other name .....

That won't stop the moonbats on the right from making their outlandish claims.

100 FF's FTW!!!!

So what so many seem to be saying is that it takes a dozen or so socialist countries to slightly exceed the United States. Yeah, Go Europe!

The wife and I are trying to decide when the North American Union will start up.

Will it start up before or after 2012, when the world is supposed to end?

"Will it start up before or after 2012, when the world is supposed to end?"

One would likely cause the other. Can you imagine the US having to carry Mexico? Hello Meximericanada.

Wonder what I said to get Nanc reminiscing about my mother...

Wonder if they'll convert to Islam when the Moors take over ?

Their Constitution starts out with " His Majesty King of the Belgians...". It's not a democracy and it never will be.

I get six weeks of vacation.

Leave it to frank2.5 to turn it into a "hate the right" thread -- and on the very first post, too! Raise your hand if you are surprised.

Get a new schtick, frank. Really.

So Europe gets a new king, nothing new there.

As president of Europe and in keeping with the great Belgium tradition, my first official act will be to outlaw bathing.

When the women are so hairy, sometimes smell is all we have to distinquish between the sexes. Not that Belgiums ever really need to distinguish between them, I'm just saying....

Well we also have:

Real football
Nude beaches
Italian sportscars
Czech beer
The Alps
Scandinavian women
British rock n roll
Autobahn
Did I mention six weeks vacation
Borders with no borders
Spanish aged ham
Fine wine
Marshall amps
Norwegian salmon
North sea petrol
Russian mob vacationing in Costa del Sol year round
German engineering
Icelandic bankers gone fishing
Golf
70 languages
Megayachts
Euro
Metric system
Croatian Islands

#45 tjb357452> Wonder if they'll convert to Islam when the Moors take over ?

You really don't think they'll have a choice, do you? Muslim immigrants out reproducing the natives in many EU countries already. Laws being changed in many EU countries to avoid offending Muslims. Some speculate that within 20-30 years most EU countries will be under Sharia law. Hmmmm....

Europe...They're about as significant as Canada or Iceland.

Says who?

"So one president was picked by 27 others. Excuse me if I don't exactly see that as Democracy in action."

Democracy works best on a small scale and always has. One person can't possibly address the needs of hundreds or millions of people from varying cultures and economic backgrounds. In the US, not matter who wins you have 130 million people or so who feel they are not adequately represented by that person.

So it really astounds me that the Euros seem bent on forming one huge mess of a government for the whole continent. The voters are better respresented by what they have now. And I think many of them know it.

Well, rtards-did ACORN steal that one too?

I don't get it. For 8 years and counting we have had to listen to the left crying about a stolen election and now you can't handle it when a few people claim the same thing happened? What a pussy.

Well we also have:

Real football-Chrisstills

Sorry, you lost on the very first one.

"Real football-Chrisstills

Sorry, you lost on the very first one. "

We have that here anyway. Fun to play. Just not as fun to watch for most of us.

What cracks me up are the people who try to force it on us as if its some kind of moral issue. Like every other country can have its own cultural preferences and that is not only OK but something that should be celebrated. But we're a bunch of jerks for liking our own sports. Even ESPN talks about "introducing" the sport to Americans. We know about it. We just don't like it enough to pay to watch it. I don't know why people see that as a problem.
