Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin embarked on her nationwide book tour with confidence, determined to settle scores and explain her side following a bruising year in the spotlight.

She kicked off her media blitz with the same fierceness that marked her debut on the national stage, and while the approach is selling books, observers say it's not sowing the seeds for a presidential run.

Palin has ground to gain if she has designs on 2012. Fewer than three in 10 Americans think she's qualified to be president, according to a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll. That puts her behind potential Republican 2012 contenders Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney.

"Fewer than three in 10 Americans think she's qualified to be president"

But But 5 in 10 Americans voted for Obama thinking he was the messiah and would hold unemployment at 8%, how's that working out for you Liberals...

"thinking he was the messiah"

Isn't there some type of Godwin's Tangent for that phrase?

If not, could we create one?

I wish Palin well with her book....but she is definately not president material.

Not yet anyway.

Obama has done so well it's easy to confuse him with the second coming of Christ. First you have the unemployment numbers well not really but wait their is the stimulus plan well not exactly, oh I know his plan for Afghanistan oh yea he cant make up his mind...

Damn maybe we should add things up...

FAILURES

1. Unemployment
2. Stimulus
3. Afghanistan Plan

Come to think of it he should resign and help JIMAH CARTAH build houses, no no he would just fuck that up as well...

Oh mah Gawd! You mean Obama's prediction of how disastrous Bush's recession would be on unemployment was off by 2 percent?

Yeah! Get rid of 'im now!

Dolt.

I wish Palin well with her book....but she is definately not president material.

That may be true but you have to admit if were all going to get screwed I would much rather it be from a smoking hott Sarah Palin...

"Obama has done so well it's easy to confuse him with the second coming of Christ."

Let me guess...you believe if you drive the ship of state off the cliff, you're only responsible until you can pass off the steering wheel?

Palin is to airheads what Bush was to terrorists, their BFF.

unemployment was off by 2 percent?

Ummm the Messiah and company stated the unemployment rate would not go above 8% or so. The effective unemployment rate is well over 10%...

"Ummm the Messiah and company stated the unemployment rate would not go above 8% or so. "

Well that sure was stupid of them to underestimate how badly Bush had fucked up the economy, wasn't it?

Ummmm...I'm a female. I am not in the habit of thinking about getting "screwed" by ANY woman!!

I'll leave those thoughts for you. : )

Danforth I think Bush started this cluster fuck and Obama put it on steroids...

-Ummm the Messiah and company stated the unemployment rate would not go above 8% or so. The effective unemployment rate is well over 10%...

Ummm, so they underestimated Bush's Other Disaster by 2 percent unemployment. Your point?

-Bush started this cluster fuck and Obama put it on steroids...

Just more happy horseshit. Obama applied the brakes as hard as he could, and Bush's economy was diverted from depression to recession.

I'll leave those thoughts for you. : )

OH she is so HOTT, Meanwhile back at the ranch there seems to be a misconception I think Bush did a better job with the Titanic not true. Bush clearly led this country in the wrong direction and the only difference with Obama is he is doing the same thing at a much faster pace...

It really does make me wonder why liberals support Obama as I ask myself what CHANGE I see no difference...

Atax:

I haven't been thoroughly impressed with Obama but I am smart enough to realize that after 8 years of "going down the wrong path" with Bush and the damage he caused to this country, it's not going to change directions quickly. It's going to take a little time. I'm going to at least give Obama longer that 10 months before making a statement like you did.

You all didn't start criticizing Bush till he was out of office...8 years later.

I think Obama deserves at least a year or two to change things around.

Profit.

She's nothing but a self serving idiot.

Lisa I never realized how bad Bush's policies were until he was out of office, that being said Obama is pursing many of the same socialistic goals at a much faster pace. In my personal opinion Obama should not pursue Healthcare in it's current format it's simply too expensive. I recognize the need for change and prefer using a screwdriver instead of a sledgehammer. Then there is Cap and trade another boondoggle, right now Obama is talking about spending less and reducing the deficit to look good for China our banker. I would not be so critical if he implemented spending cuts. If we all balanced our checkbooks the way Obama balances the national budget we would all be bankrupt. Both Bush and Obama are wrong there is no way to spend this country into prosperity...

thinking he was the messiah

No, that was the wing dings that think that. How's that working out for you?

C'mon Lisa, Bush needs 50 years to be judged on his presidency.

Obaman is not even afforded 50 weeks.

I never realized how bad Bush's policies were until he was out of office

Were you drunk for 8 years?

In a coma?

Or could it be that you were just so happy that "your guy" was in there running the economy into the ground that you just did not pay attention or care?

Atax:

Seriously...it did NOT take you 8 years to see how bad Bush was!!!

Were you drunk for 8 years?

I hate answering a loaded question and yes I was Occasionally drunk during the 8 years of the Bush administration. I did not see Bush's Policy's were leading this country in the wrong direction until he pushed through the first stimulus package. Bush is the reason I am a Libertarian I do not want a nanny state and his policies like Obama's center around big spending and more government. That does not mean I am totally against Healthcare reform, I just prefer we use a screwdriver. I also prefer a government that provides the basics common defense, infrastructure, schools, basic healthcare, Police ect ect. The main issue I have with both Obama and Bush is out of control government and the spending associated with it. It is unprecedented for any Nation to have ever spent themselves into prosperity...

So you had no clue with the Dept of Homeland Security, Medicare Part D, Patriot Act or Illegal wiretapping that Bush wanted more government?

8 years of deficits?

If ataxi couldnt see the light till W left, he has little standing to come in here and act as if he has insights and understanding of the American political landscape.

I wonder what you think is gonna transpire to change this? You suspect somehow that her IQ is suddenly gonna make a dramatic change?

Both Bush and Obama are wrong there is no way to spend this country into prosperity...

I keep hearing conservatives saying this over and over, it sounds good, but history shows it's just not true.

The United States was in a depression at the start of World War II. When war was declared, the US started spending at an incredible rate, on equipment that wasn't intended to help the GDP.

And after 4 years of incredible spending, the US entered a time of incredible economic growth.

"If ataxi couldnt see the light till W left, he has little standing to come in here and act as if he has insights and understanding of the American political landscape."

Ahhh...cut 'im some slack....he's just kinda stupid.
