Although Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman conceded the race and Democrat Bill Owens has been seated by Congress, there's still a slim chance that Hoffman will end up with more votes. A recanvassing in the 11-county district narrowed Owens' lead to 3,026 votes and absentee ballots have yet to be counted.

2 things:

Dede had not yet suspended her policy when some of these absentee votes were marked.

And if Hoffman had won, then the healthcare vote would've been 219, still enough to pass it.

Some wild eyed liberals were crazy to think 2000 and 2004, I won't fall into the same trap.

*** Dems steal the Healthcare Vote ***

.....from who ?....the majority of Americans who support it ?......

The poll, which was conducted Oct. 26-29 and surveyed 703 residents, found that 54 percent also support legislation that would include a public option.

Weren't you the dumbshit whining about the use of polls yesterday?
No need to answer, we already know you're that fucking stupid.

-His support sealed his party's narrow victory on the health care legislation

That's hilarious. There were several more Dems who voted against that could have and would have voted for had it been necessary.

corky

come on wake up

its real simple...dems had more than enough to pass the bill and ALLOW 39 dems to vote no and those dems are in tight races back home or at least they will be.
its the same way that tax and crap was passed and it will be that way for a little less than a year.

and WE KNOW that the abortion amendment will disappear because of what dems have said

there is ONE interesting quandry that she may be in

IF the abortion thing is left..there are lots of dems who say they wont vote for it
if its taken out she may lose the blue dogs...

hhhmmmmmmmmm

there is one thing to this obama bullshit.
has there been another time, you think, that more people have known as much about the working of congress?

AFK - if the abortion thing is taken out, this bill is dead. I'm sure Corky won't agree but he's delusional.

Nice LYING headline, fucktard. Hannity would be proud.

but andy

the pro choicers say that if its left in..its dead...and there are more of them than blue dogs.
either way we can only hope that both are right.

so what does nancy do???????????????

Trying to change the status quo in current law with the Stupak amendment won't pass either.

And it is impractical. I mean, what, other than trying to change current law without going to the SC, is the purpose of making sure that women cannot purchase a separate abortion plan with their own money?

This won't stop the train.

-he's delusional.

As is anyone who disagrees with this poster, one assumes.

New guys get to vote six times? More delusional dreaming from the reality adverse right.

He was already sworn in. We won you lost Rtards.

It ain't over till it's over!

Jack--

IF--and that's a big if--the votes go for Hoffman--Owens has to leave--gone--goodbye...

It doesn't matter that he was sworn in.

Owens would have to leave the congress.

Herr Hoffman only needs to win 80% of the absentee ballots to win.

Translation: Go home loserman.

I don't think absentees can sway this thing, because Dede was still on the ticket when some (most?) would have voted, which would certainly not help Hoffman.

bwhahahahaha keep hoping against hope. Isn't that what You Righties said to us about the stolen election of 2004?? Too fucking funny.

Larry

Yeah, what the fuck, win or lose, the fix was in.

"Yeah, what the fuck, win or lose, the fix was in.

It (the election results) will be reversed if it shows he got the votes. Simple. AS the info coming to him was in error, he conceded. Now the info is saying something different. So.... get it right.

The healthcare vote.... narrow margin... the only republican voting for it did so "in his won words" because it had the passing votes.... so, without his and Hoffmans vote.... uhm.

This just in:

ACORN convoy arrives in NY with trunkloads of "misplaced" ballots...

He was already sworn in. We won you lost Rtards.

He was sworn in illegaly, the election was not certified by the state of NY. Seems like the dems like to pas laws but not follow them.

While the conclusions you draw are simple, the fact is for Cao it was a very intense he would not vote until it reached 218, it would have been even more pressure on him to be 219, instead of 220. He might have reneged on voting for it.

Then it would have passed with only 2l8 which was the min needed.

This is an important number psychologically.

My point being you don't know how it would have affected the outcome of the vote. If Hoffman does win, and is certified, I would bet it would nullify the vote in the House, making it fraudulant, and unconstitutional.

If Hoffman does win, and is certified, I would bet it would nullify the vote in the House, making it fraudulant, and unconstitutional.

Is there any precedent for this? You may be right that his vote may have effected Cao psychologically but if 1 vote equals 1 vote I would assume they would not nullify the vote.

Regardless, I still don't think Hoffman has a good chance of winning.

He might win yet. If he does the right will hail it as a great victory overlooking the fact that the Republican would win this seat by 60-70 thousand votes when the Democrats bothered to put up a candidate at all.

These are New York Republicans not Oklahoma ones. Lots of them obviously took one look at Hoffman, threw up, abstained, voted for the real Republican who had suspended her campaign because of the nutjobs or voted Democrat.

On his web site Hoffman is looking for money to fund the recount. Time to put their money where their mouth was for the tea partying going-roguers.
