.......Nanc goes straight for the rectum, her area of special interest......

.......I know that thinking complex problems through, is not a conservative trait, but building an EXIT STRATEGY into the upcoming decisions is crucial........

.......Bush knew how to start wars, but not how to end them, let's be smarter.......

I'll be you were high on the guy until he finally had enough and let the Bushies sink on their own without him.

Powell made a tremendous mistake when he actually gave the Bushie neocons -- they aren't called "cons" for nothing -- the benefit of the doubt and did his dog-and-pony show in the UN Security Council. It took him a while, but at least he had the decency to resign. (For which I doubt the wackdoodles will ever forgive him, because they [a] think he needs forgiving and they actually believe they're withholding something he wants [which he evidently doesn't]; and [b] interpret his leaving the administration that serves as the most dramatic reenactment of Titanic-like hubris in recent memory as "disloyal" when, in fact, he seems to have known he had a higher loyalty beyond Bush: that loyalty he owed the country.)

And none of that takes away from the efficacy of the Powell Doctrine

The Powell Doctrine states that a list of questions all have to be answered affirmatively before military action is taken by the United States:

1.Is a vital national security interest threatened?
2.Do we have a clear attainable objective?
3.Have the risks and costs been fully and frankly analyzed?
4.Have all other non-violent policy means been fully exhausted?
5.Is there a plausible exit strategy to avoid endless entanglement?
6.Have the consequences of our action been fully considered?
7.Is the action supported by the American people?
8.Do we have genuine broad international support?

You'd think even the wackdoodles could see the wisdom of that. Alas, faith-based belief in American Exceptionalism appears to blind them to such a commonsencial realization.

To a Repube, "thoughtful President" is an oxymoron.

"To a Repube, "thoughtful President" is an oxymoron."

Yet the antonyms to a "thoughful president" would be, idiotic, negligent, obtuse, remiss, stupid, thoughtless... Guess that's what the democants refuse to see.

......but since we have a thoughtful president, your point is moot.......

"......but since we have a thoughtful president, your point is moot......."

You got the moot point right. We are still waiting for him to say anything on Afghanistan.

We are still waiting for him to say anything on Afghanistan.

Why are you waiting? You are going to bitch, moan, kick, and scream no matter what he says about it.

Just throw your tantrum now and get it over with.
