Proud of my company that just sent out thousands of Holiday Sale flyers. Hope we made the Naughty List.

This year we decided to do things from the heart.

Last Christmas we helped at a soup kitchen and we will do the same again. It was a heartwarming and humbling experience

We are making at least one of our gifts to give and we won't be shopping at the normal stores as in the past. Instead, we are supporting the little stores in our community.

And true to tradition...one of our kids is going to get punked! They all wait in anticipation as to who it will be!

Anywho, ever notice that when "christians" seek a carrot/stick to make other people do what they want, MONEY is ALWAYS their primary motivator, always.

As noted above, many seem to have already begun an unintentional boycott of most of its teachings, usually the parts that require a little effort on their end.

Oh Blu....we don't do anything for recognition or thanks. I was just sharing our plans for Christmas, our desire to shop at little country stores in our are rather than the big money making stores...those who wish to stifle the reason we celebrate.

Sorry if that bothers you and I fail to see your problem with it since it doesn't affect you...unless you work at one of those businesses mentioned on this thread.

Odd that it also bothers you when we choose not to support a business claiming it's all about money when it is actually those businesses that are obviously out to MAKE that money. It's why they are in business to begin with isn't is?? So, when one boycotts where do you strike?? Where it hurts THEM the most...in their wallet!

I was at a Home Depot Sunday and this checking out LED lights and this guy asked me if I was offended by the word "holiday", because he was. I said probably not as much as the jews who had hannukah stolen from them by the Xians or the pagans who had winter solstice stolen from them by the Xians. Before I got to point out the Xmas tree is really a pagan symbol, he stomped off, apparently really offended.
So it was a pretty good day.

When exactly did Lucifer invent the word Holiday anyway???

Why you do or don't do something is irrelevant in the context of Matt 6 1-8. It is what happens after you do a good deed that counts. And you, just for the sake of our information of course, make it a point to blow your trumpet on a regular basis.
