So here's the bottom line -- skip any donations to the DCCC. Their first priority is incumbent retention, and they're (necessarily) issue agnostic. They'll be dumping millions into defending these seats. Instead, give to those elected officials who best reflect your values.

"A civil war brewing among democrats...."

I can't recall a time when there wasn't such a war. Republicans have often crowed about Democrat fractiousness. You can't have fractiousness without factions, that is, opposing points of view. What a concept.

I'll take that over the alternative: a purity test that is actually, quite really, determined by Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck.

This gives you guys maybe ten million voters. Do what you can with it. And when and if you decide Libertarians aren't really liberals, I imagine they'll respond by pissing on your shoes.

So you prefer a purity test as conceived of by the DAily Kos then.

The point is, where the hell do Dems get off telling Republican Rank anf File how to vote when Dem Rank and File are not happy with their own leadership? Something about glass houses goes here. The media always makes the obligatory comment about pro-choice Republican woman not voting for pro-life Republican ignoring pro-life Democrats refusing to vote for pro-choice Liberals. I guess pro-life Democrats speel trouble for the Dem party.

"So you prefer a purity test conceived of by the Daily Kos then....?"

Never read them. Don't know anyone that does. They're free to say what they want. We're getting close to the difference betweeen Republicans and Democrats here.

"Where the hell do Dems get off telling Republican rank and file how to vote...?"

Vote for whom you please. Given current trends in Republican abnormal psychology, that find RINOs behind every wood pile, you do nothing but help Democrats.

Many districts are too conservative for Liberal Democrats to win. And yet thes Kos Liberals would rather lose the district to a Republican than support a Moderate Democrat.

Yes, the KOS liberals might rather loose. Other Democrats might rather win. Once again, the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

DEMENT

TERM LIMITS

3 for house

its time!

So Zed points to infighting in the Dem party to show that they're open minded, then goes on to point to infighting in the Repub party to show that they require lockstep purity.

Just an Obamatard at work.

I wouldn't chase out a fellow Democrat for disagreeing with me. Most Democrats I know wouldn't either.

Litmus tests are only a hot, hot topic with you folks. Enjoy.

You fuckers tried!

I think you just pointed out one of the biggest problems with both parties, which is the single issue voter.

Many districts are too conservative for Liberal Democrats to win. And yet thes Kos Liberals would rather lose the district to a Republican than support a Moderate Democrat.

So you're saying the Kos folks are arguing the same policy that the RNC officially holds? The one that did so well in the 23rd? The one that's going to hand Martinez' Senate seat in Florida to the Dems?

I still can't figure out why the GOP financially supported an "Independent" who chased their own Party's candidate out of the election. I still can't understand why the RNC allows individuals to remain in the Party who actively campaigned AGAINST the Party.

"Many districts are too conservative for Liberal Democrats to win. And yet thes Kos Liberals would rather lose the district to a Republican than support a Moderate Democrat."

Primaries are for settling arguments within the party. Koz is full of baloney IMHO on this topic. I would much prefer to retain the majority even if we need to include moderate Dems., even if some anti-abortion Dems are part of our majority. The one thing we simply cannot do is allow the REthugs who have wrecked our economy, started unnecessary wars, etc. get the majority again.

Primaries are important in unifyin the party behind a candidate? Where have I heard that argument before? Oh yes, it was the Rush LImbaugh Show.
