General Electric Co. will close its solar-panel manufacturing facility in Glasgow, Delaware because the facility can no longer produce panels competitively, the company confirmed today.
The Glasgow plant, which employs 82 people, will lay off the entire work force by June . . .
The workers still there are part of the last production shift. The company eliminated about 85 workers in April as the plant cut production to a single shift.
