Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Thursday, November 05, 2009

The actor Willie Aames, who filed for bankruptcy twice since 1997 and was selling his possessions in front of his foreclosed Olathe, Kan., home in March just to make ends meet, is training to become a financial adviser. "As of Dec. 12, I had no wife, no family, no car, no computer, no home, no electricity, no gas and no way to obtain any of it," Aames said this week. "How do you start over from scratch? I didn't know."

I saw him panhandling and offered him $10.

He said "Eight is enough."

OK I'm a little buzzed right now, so I'll try to make this a little interesting.

A homeless man walks into a bar.

ahh fuck it...........

"Bibleman" is broke? How the mighty have fallen.

From the article "He's training to be a financial adviser."

Ray's teaching the class, no doubt.

Who the heck is the guy? Of course, I have to admit I don't know much about Hollywood and the inhabitants.

Wasn;t He Tommy bradford on 8 is enough. There was 3 boys and 5 girls right. and the oldest girl died of a drug overdose. She was the hottie at least to Me. Of course what do I know.

Larry

Thanks for the info-- of course, I have to admit I don't know what "8 is enough" was either-- never watched it.

Well, this answers any lingering questions about how straight Aames might be.

Any guy who was the ultimate fantasy for every old queen in America - and still winds up broke - must be irrevocably into pussy.

Who, who, who???????? Who is this willy feller, and who the Frick cares?

Some stupid homeless former actor giving out financial advice is like a typical weenie lib giving a kid advice on how to become a man.

He shoulda left Charles in Charge...

I guess Bibleman was a phony,
'Cause the real one would've known that "the borrower becomes the lender's slave" (Proverbs 22:7).

"the borrower becomes the lender's slave" (Proverbs 22:7).

Speak volumes for 8 years of selling debt to other nations now doesn't it?

8 years of selling debt

8 years going on 12

Another useless actor who bombed out in Hollywood.

"I had no wife, no family, no car, no computer, no home, no electricity, no gas and no way to obtain any of it."

. . . and no way to get any of it???

Oh cry me a river. There's thousands of people in the same boat . . . and worse yet, with kids to feed.

I wonder if he ever thought about getting a job all those years he was going broke.

Spud smells reality teevee gold here.

Seriously, Aames could live out on the streets and be followed around by cameramen as he dumpster dives, begs from strangers and is occasionally tossed in the local clink fer being indigent, we could get Jeff Probst to produce it.

If the locale gets boring Aames could just hop on a train and ride the rails to his next "Beg, Borrow or Steal" adventure.

Call it "Boxcar Willie"

Spud's a fuggin' genius! :>D

Be Well.

/K, really gone now.

AS much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with Spud.

I hate reality TV with every fiber of my being. Well except dancing with the stars The female dance instructors on their are ridiculously hot.

I mean, I am going to admit to why I watch Fox News. It is not because I care about whatever spin they put on the news....I want to watch my news delivered by the hottest women possible...and Fox News wins that battle hands down.

I expect the same from my TV programs. Hot women, all the time. Otherwise? I can't be bothered. WHich is unfortunate, because my son makes me watch Blues Clues and Ni Hao Kai Lan. UUgh.

That being said, I know that reality TV makes MUCH money, and folks will tune in to watch a train wreck, and apparently, this guy is a train wreck/

Ames could be singing these songs....

Money, money, money, is a rich man's world...

No woman no cry....

Ames, please call a televangelist to help you out in your transition....

Really? Man that's sad...

..and hey, how is Barney Handsettler doing?

I heard he's having twins?

I'm missing the part where he's been looking for work; or does that continue to be out of the question ?

#16--- "I hate reality TV"---- AMEN. You've got to have a really boring existence to watch that garbage-- I bet the same folks that watch that were the ones that watched "soaps." But then again, it's a nice welfare system for some folks.

Did you know that Alina Plankerton graduated from boarding school last week?

I'm looking forward to this guys obit.

I had the unfortunate chance to view this show. It is a snapshot of America, minus the check for $25,000.00 and camera crew.

Next up, former D list celebrities give tips on cooking with ALPO...

Pretty sad, he was married in my city to a gorgeous brunette named Vick Averbach when I was 18. The reception was next door to a friend and we crashed and met a few celebs. Never realized how tiny he and many of the actors in attendance were. Now he looks like a plumped up smurf without the blue hue...

Maybe he, Whitney Houston, and Bonaduce can appear on something together. I heard Nicolas Cage is almost broke too. I smell a VH1 celebreality show.

"Celebrity Bankruptcy Court"
"Living Under Bridges" (With Guest Star Todd Bridges!!?!??)
"Celebrity Chapter 7 Auctions"

I looked up Vicki Averbach and found a funny quote from Willie Aames when he was around 18 and was about to marry her:

www.people.com

"The prospective newly-weds would share his newly purchased house in Hollywood Hills, Willie's second since moving away from his parents at 17. Needless to say, he is confident about the future. 'God made some people weak and some strong,' boasts TV's latest kid-in-a-hurry. 'I'm one of the strong ones.'"

Guess he wasn't one of the strong ones after all.

Here's a picture from the wedding you crashed, Crisp:

Here's a picture from the wedding you crashed, Crisp:

Never said I crashed the wedding Rcade. I said the reception was next door to a good friend of mine and I believe it was Vicky's parents house in Costa Mesa.

another child actor..or really young anyway who coldnt handle and cope with that life. makes you wonder sometimes why parents put thier kids through that.
I guess its the old backstage mother thingy

or it could be plain old greed

#27...

Sorry rcade, I didn't look at the link carefully and misunderstood your post. I should have known you were being sincere. My aplogoies for being defensive.

No big deal, Crisp.

I used to love Eight is Enough. But that theme song is a major earworm.

Who?

Who?

"Who the heck is the guy? Of course, I have to admit I don't know much about Hollywood and the inhabitants."

But, you've heard of television, no?

Not all child stars end up huge celebrity successes as adults like Gary Coleman did

Somebody has to guard the malls.
