Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Monday, November 02, 2009

Notes from former Vice President Dick Cheney's FBI interview about the leak of Valerie Plame Wilson's covert CIA identity were finally released on Friday afternoon after a lengthy legal battle. In the interview, Cheney demonstrated a behavior common among Bush administration officials under investigation: he couldn't remember much of anything. Here's a non-comprehensive list of 22 things Dick Cheney claimed he couldn't recall about the Plame case.

I can't recall this.

Fitzgerald couldn't recall who outed Plame as he continued investigation on, and on, and on, until he got something, anything on a high profile Administration member.

You guys are so desperate to quash Your parties responsibility for TREASON. Yeah Treason is what the Bush Administration perpetrated with the outing of Valerie Plame's name. Add that to the Illegal war of aggression and the illegal detainment on top of the illegal torture. G-d it must royally suck being a bushite. No wonder You are all lashing out against Obama. Got to keep the heat off the slimeball Dubya.

Larry

I believe it was Richead Armitage who admitted he outed Plame. He worked for Colin Powell.

The left has such a hatred for Chaney that they can't believe it didn't come from his office.

Sure it cme from Cheney's office. Scooter Libby was one of the 4 leakers.

Armitage
Fleischer
Rove
Libby

But do try and wash Your filthy hands of Dubya and Cheney. It's downright laughable and expected.

Larry

Once Armitage leaked the name it doesn't matter who else said it. In dealing with classified information once it is released in isn't classified

If you want to put 4 people on the list why stop at 4 why don't you include yourself since you have said it

You guys are ignorant fucks. Even if 10 leaks the name as long as it's officially classified they all leaked classified information. Get a fucking clue next time.

Larry

Dick Cheney is a liar who should be in a Federal prison.

Dick Cheney is a liar who should be in Gitmo.

Probably true. Millions of Iraqis were terrorized needlessly.

In fact a little waterboarding may refresh his memory

The January 2004 Vanity Fair was "already at the presses" by July 14, 2003?

What a bald-faced lie, KBM.

One section included responses from the November 2003 issue.

"I believe it was Richead Armitage who admitted he outed Plame. "

That's always been a bullshit argument. Libby didn't know anything about that when he was shopping the leak around.

"The "007" Vanity Fair photo ops was already at the presses when the "so-called outing occurred."

What total bullshit. Why did VF care who she was before she was outed or even who she was?

Plame appears in VF in Jan 04. Bob Novak's article that named her was published in Jul 03.

Are you saying that VF prints their magazine 6 months before it hits the stands?

"Are you saying that VF prints their magazine 6 months before it hits the stands?"

If so, the comments in the magazine regarding the issue only 2 months old are miracles.

What was really amazing was that such a super secret agent like Plame who had so much to lose if she was outed would allow her husband to write an editorial in the NY Times ragging on the administration. People who defend her and her traitor husband are totally clueless. The two of them should be locked up for creating all of this attention just to sell his piece of shit book that nobody bought anyway.

Is there a lesson here?

Yes, in this country if you cooperate with authorities in any way, you open yourself up to prosecution, especially if they can't get their dirty stinking hands on anyone else.

But, having said that, I think Fitzgerald exhibited integrity throughout the process, unlike Starr.

no one in DC can remember anything really important, that's the lesson to be learned. somehow these people managed to go to ivy league schools, perform well in military settings, and make and keep all the right connections to get themselves elected or appointed, but then afterward, or when suddenly confronted by an ethics committee, all these details just seem to slip their minds. fantastic.

since he does NOT view Waterboarding

better...

What was really amazing was the Republicans rallying around Scooter for committing treason but outing a covert CIA operation designed to prevent rogue regimes from acquiring WMD.

Then again, since Scooter was trying to cover-up for a Republican President caught in a bald-faced lie, it's not really amazing, just SOP for the Party over Country crowd.

Befuddled by difference between 10 months and 10 years....

Well, corky, I guess I need you to explain to me the time limits on deflection. You make it clear that 10 years is too long for a deflection, but10 months is OK. Specifically, what is the cut off date for deflections?

Thanks for helping, corky.

Oh, wait. Seeing as to how you don't seem to have a problem with Nixon deflections, I presume that the deflection blackout window opens again at some point. Just let me know the appropriate dates for deflections and I promise it'll never happen again.

...among millions of other things

Unlike you, I'm honest enough to admit it though. LOL

He isn't too clear on who was the Vice President when it happened and is leaning towards Al Gore or Joe Biden.

Every spy is in a position to be outed when it is the Vice President doing the Outing.

Cheney hung Scooter Bear out to dry after involving him in the outing of a CIA agent.... he had some spare time between taking over the Iraqi oil fields for Halliburton and playing the Penguin on Batman.

Things must be real bad for Dems, if they have to keep rehasing old stories to make the other side look bad.

How sad.

Wow. I've read some moronic stuff posted on this blog over the last 4+ years, but this is near the top of the list.

Cheney told FBI no idea who leaked Plame ID
Summary of vice president's 2004 interview with investigators released

Cheney's denials that he talked about Plame are among the few things in the lengthy interview with the FBI that Cheney appeared certain about. He repeatedly said he could not recall key events.

Among them, he said he did not recall discussing Wilson's wife with Libby before her CIA employment was publicly revealed by conservative columnist Robert Novak in mid-July 2003.

Evidence at Libby's criminal trial showed that Cheney had told Libby about Wilson's wife in mid-June 2003.

I'm guessing that lawyer fees will eat up quite a lot of those millions in halliburton stock options earned from his no bid contracts for an unnecessary invasion/occupation based on his lies, eh?

Carter -- I lusted in my heart
Kennedy -- I forgot air support!
Pelosi -- Pelosi
Kerry -- I was for the war before I was against it
Gore -- lock box, carbon credits

bush and cheney, we fucked over the country and tried to do it to the world. who gives a shit about a quarter of a million dead people. we are conservatives thats why

One would have thought people too embarrassed to use the Clinton Deflection(tm) at this late date.

Guess not.

Amazing someone would be stupid enough to invoke Clinton on a thread with the words can't recall? How many times under oath did Willy lie through his teeth? Oh that's right, that depends on the definition of "is". Maybe they all hit the mute button when he addressed the nation and wagged his little finger and denied having sex with that young woman, and at the same time made all his defenders look like fucking idiots.

yes, i have a question,

Why are you listing dems that were never elected potus or veep in response to my post?

And

How is it possible that "conservatives" like reagan/bush 41 QUADTRUPLED the national debt, lilaWol/hallichainy DOUBLED that, leaving 10 TRILLION debt on 1/20/09, yet a "liberal" like Clinton was able to set our govt budget nearly balanced?

Do tell.

Crispee -- corky says ten years is too long ago to bring up. I'm still waiting for him to give me the exact "deflection blackout windows", but he made it clear that Clinton is too long. But Bush is recent enough that he's OK to still trash. Somehow (I haven't figured it out yet) Nixon is still fair game, too.

Corky? Still waiting for that calendar, dude.

Thanks

right cripsy,

The 1st repug congress in 40 years spent $70 million dollars of taxpayer money attacking our own potus with 11 bogus investigations which yielded ZERO indictments, so they impeached him for lying about something that was nobody else's business on a question that should never have been asked.

That, AFTER our country was attacked barely a month into Clinton's presidency.

I wonder if THAT is what embolded our terrorist enemies to attack again, even tho all those perps from Feb 93 WTC were caught, convicted and incarcerated.

Well, one thing we know for sure, it's one of the reasons why the repug congressional majority continued to dwindle from 1996 on, eh?

Why are you listing dems that were never elected potus or veep in response to my post?

subject matter is limited to them?

with 48 threads dedicated to Limbaugh, Beck or Palin WTF will the libtards do for "news"?

LOL

Good post WOKE! Sadly true.

How is it possible that "conservatives" like reagan/bush 41

You can't deflect to them. Corky says 10 years ago is off limits. I think. At least it was when Clinton was brought up. It seems there is a different deflection calendar for the Republicans though if corky is to be believed.

help us out here, corky. If there are two standards, let us know what they are. I have a feeling I know: "Any passage of time makes it unacceptable to defer to Democrat, but any passage of time make is acceptable to deflect to a Republican"

Do I have this right, corky?

Clinton sought, caught, convicted, and incarcerated/terminated the perps who attacked the usa on his watch, using law enforcement and diplomacy with other countries.

Meanwhile....

the repug Contract ON American congress sought, caught and impeached our own potus....for lying about a blow job.....

Which party in the 90s had most American's concerns at heart do ya think?

Yet, we KNOW hallichainy lied over and over about iraqnam, plame, etc.....and he has escaped prosecution so far...eh?

Seems there is a different set of rules for repugs, eh?

My guess is the one that the Americans voted for.

Just curious which repub appointed the SP to investigate Clinton? Twice no less. Also, doesn't the fact Clinton went on national TV and lied through his teeth make it our business? Or are we still blaming repubs for that decision? One more thing, how many dems also voted to impeach?

As for the convictions... How many more attacks did Al Queda pull off after 1993?

And they were voted out of office. Isn't it great how the election process works?

Give it another election cycle or two and the dems will become complacent, fail to do their jobs and the republicans will be back in. The pendulum neve stops swinging because neither party is smart enough to stop it and keep their party in power.

Yet, we KNOW hallichainy lied over and over about iraqnam, plame, etc.....and he has escaped prosecution so far...eh?

Just 2 in Saudi Arabia and the kenya/tanzania attacks coordinated the same day....

USS Cole was a military target, not a terrorist attack.

Oh yeah, there was that other one, by right wingers on OK CITY......but you don't count that one, right?

Now, on lilaWol/hallichainy's watch, after they ignored warnings to focus on their pnac agenda of pre emptive attacks/invasions/occupations there were about THREE TIMES MORE....

Of course, you could go clear back to reagan's tenure and check out what his responses were......trading arms and nuke secrets to iran etc.....

btw, if clinton caused 911, who caused WTC93?

There have been a couple twists to the old logic:

- The GOP are killing their own. "No Moderates Wanted" signs hang outside the GOP's 'big tent' pup tent

- Minority populations are booming. Hispanics vote overwhelmingly Democrat. The old wedge issues, abortion and XXXX just don't resonate with voters anymore. Worn out.

- The face of the GOP are idiots like Palin, Limbaugh, Beck.

Yes - what is your argument that this was a bad idea/proposal? (If you don't have one, why is it on this list?)

I don't have an argument. You are right. I put it on the list because it is as stupid as anything else on that regurgitated list. E.G. There are many, many relevant reasons Quayle should never have been VP. Putting an 'e' on the end of potato wasn't one of them.

Crispee

No, I was putting your logic to the test. No surprise, it failed.

My logic is sound. Yours on the other hand seems suspect if you are dumb enough to even think Obama's resume held up against Bush 41. Obama was out puffing and finding himself while Bush was becoming the youngest aviator at the time when he turned 19. Bush was also elected to Congress, UN Ambassador, Chairman of the RNC,Chief of the Liaison Office to the People's Republic of China, Director of the CIA, and two term Vice President. How about Obama? Community Organizer, State Senator for two terms and a Jr Us Senator for less than four years.

God only knows how stupid it is to compare those two as far as who was more qualified to be the POTUS.

You think someone being qualified to run the CIA, VP and POTUS might make your post look rather stupid?

"You laugh at me after your brilliant retort Bush wasn't intellgent?"

Um...yeah. We all do.

Bush 43 graduated from Yale. Case closed on that necessarily being a sign of intelligence. His professors said he swaggered and bragged about his family connections all the time to get by.

yet, what is the bush family legacy?

"read my lips, no new taxes"

Quadtrupling the national deficit

then;
Having a son APPOINTED potus by his daddy's cronys and his brother's election fraud....

allowing the 911 attack to occur on their watch...

unnecessary wars for profit of a few

responding to a national disaster 5 days later....

outing our own cia ops

spying on Americans with no probable cause

running our economy and foreign policy off the cliff....

"great job, there brownie"

"bring em on"

"we do not torture"

"i honor his service"

yeah, that great bush legacy.....

Watch the movie W, it captures ghwbush41's pov on his son pretty well.....

cripsy

how old were you during bush41's tenure?

cause i remember he said

"read my lips, now new taxes" then raised taxes

and i remember him invading panama to deal with his own fk up noriega....just like he also had to deal with his other fk up, saddam, but couldn't do the job....

then his son had to deal with 41's other fk up OBL and he couldn't do it either....

ghwb helped create all these fk ups as cia director and veep and potus.....i don't call that competent at all......

then there is that little thing of being in business with obl's dad and brothers and in fact, meeting with them on 91101, then wisking them away out of the country three days later...eh?

Read my lips cripsy, the bush family has a legacy of fk ups....

that is all buddy.....

You used "Yale" as a means of measuring intelligence.

Some use Yale, some use Harvard.

Crispee (and boy, are you!)

#88

"You used "Yale" as a means of measuring intelligence. W skated through with a C- average because of 'family connections' he wouldn't shut up about."

First of all Sparky we are talking about 41 not 43. Second, I asked the other idiot Woke who said 41 wasn't intelligent if HE could have graduated from Yale? Were you this deranged before 2001? Or just when Bush 43 was elected? Of course you were the fool who claimed Quayle wasn't very smart either, so I guess consider the sources. Glad you hitched you wagon to Wokes star....

"Let's see... Spelling error"

Yes, when you're taking someone else's "intelligence" to task, idiot. Here's a hint: have a word processing document always at the ready. Then, every time you want to call out someone else's stupididty, paste it onto the WP page, and see if your automatic spell-checker finds your errors. You seem to have a woeful track record.

"compared to pasting a picture of a "double end bag""

You were the dumbshit who used the word "nobody", and then refused to admit you were wrong.

"Maybe you should STFU about spelling errors"

This, from the king of the self-retorting retorts. Wait...he cries so much about them, I guess that'd make him The Queen.

#97 | Posted by crispee_oc

Nope. You brought up Yale as some proof of intelligence and qualification to be President.

"#88 and 89...Can't refute or come back with anything on 41 or Quayle?"

Huh? Who do you think said "Read my lips, no new taxes"...?

#94 | Posted by Danforth at 2009-11-02 05:52 PM |

More wilful ignorance from danforth I see... What does "Read my lips...." have anything to do with Wokes or Timex's lame post neither Bush 41 or Quayle were very intelligent? I would hate to think you didn't read the resumes and got caught being a troll... Again.

"intelligent"

You're obviously using the spell-checker now; good for you.

"What does "Read my lips...." have anything to do with Wokes or Timex's lame post neither Bush 41 or Quayle were very intelligent?"

Well, it was pretty stupid to promise "no new taxes" before raising taxes.

"Yes, when you're taking someone else's "intelligence" to task, idiot."
danforth

Poor danforth, twice in a few minutes looking like the fucking little bitch, again... Point out where I took Wokes INTELLIGENCE to task? UHH, Uhh... You are a fucking tool danforth and got caught trolling, again....

"You laugh at me after your brilliant retort Bush wasn't intellgent?"
crispee_oc

Crispee calling someone else's posts 'lame'? Better than TV!

Well, it was pretty stupid to promise "no new taxes" before raising taxes.

#102 | Posted by Danforth at 2009-11-02 06:04 PM |

Like a bratty child looking to get whipped? The argument was the QUALIFICATIONS and INTELLIGENCE to be POTUS. Read the fucking posts before opening your yap and having it closed for the third time in less than 15 minutes... Bad enough you were too lazy to know what was being argued, but to take a line from Woke? You deserve to look like an idiot. Again.

Crispee calling someone else's posts 'lame'? Better than TV!

#104 | Posted by Timex at 2009-11-02 06:04 PM |

What does it say about someone who says Quayle wasn't smart? I think "lame" is appropriate. But hey no Bush 41 in your retort. Guess you figured out we weren't discussing him, eh?

bush41

some questions.

Who supported funded dictator noriega before deposing him?

who developed, funded and supported saddam as a dictator?

see a pattern yet?

which potus served while rummy gave saddam the bio weapons and choppers he used to deliver them on his own people?

Who supported and financed OBL? there's that pattern again....

Who was in business with and meeting with OBL's father and other family members on 911 and helped them get wisked out of country faster than a week.....??

yeah, what a great American.....

I think the last actually decent republican potus saw bush41 coming......

"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."
Dwight David Eisenhower

Apparently, IKE misjudged the stupidity of many Americans, eh?

Apparently IKE saw hallichainy's and his buddies coming too, eh?

In most communities it is illegal to cry "fire" in a crowded assembly. Should it not be considered serious international misconduct to manufacture a general war scare in an effort to achieve local political aims?

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

You were the dumbshit who used the word "nobody", and then refused to admit you were wrong.

Have you found one person in America who calls it a "speedball" Oh that's right you found one entry out of bunch of arts and crafts on Ebay. Why didn't you look it up at a local or national retail store who offers online shopping? Uhh, Uhh, because I was too stupid pasting a "double end bag" in some desperate attempt to look like I knew what the fuck I was talking about. BHHHWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Woke -- how long are you going to live in the past? People still realize how fucked up the Messiah is even if you dwell on the presidents of decades past

Enter the 21st century, boy

yeah cripsy, no bush41 retort.....

none at all

cough, cough #90 then same info reposted at #107

Any thoughts about someone who was deep in the cia, developed, supported, financed 3 despots and then watched them turn on the usa having to be removed...??

incompetence and failed neoconservative policies....

we won't even talk about what reagan/bush41 did with iran.....or nixon's support of the despotic shah, etc.

Have you found one person in America who calls it a "speedball"

Yes.

"on Ebay."

No, dumbshit, it was Amazon. And in Florida.... Although, all I had to find was one to prove you wrong. And I did.

yeah, carter......bubba clinton.....yeah, the "messiah", yeah....

blah, blah, blah

If you had any facts whatsoever to really criticize Obama with, you wouldn't have to resort to rushaddict's smears...eh?

yet, you claim you never listen to him.....eh?

I put all of today's posts of woke's into the pot, boiled 'em down, and here's what's left:

Bush, Bush, Bush, 41, Reagan, 43, Bush, Bush, Ike, Bush, Reagan, 41, 41, Reagan, Bush, Nixon, Bush, 43, Reagan.

Bush and Cheney are fair game until the statute of limitations on the crimes they have committed has run out.

Whose policies FAILED genius?

Whose policies did not?

Seems to me after the last ass kicking your party got, and the total fkn disaster of neocon policies, you'd begin to attempt to learn something from history....

but no, instead you decry it....

I'm not talking about namecalling those repugs as you are Obama, I'm talking about their abject FAILURES

DEBT

BROKEN ECONOMY

Just water under the bridge to you Mr NonPartisan. Others are not so sure.

Let me correct myself before you do...

Bush and Cheney are fair game until the statute of limitations on the crimes they MAY have committed has run out. Even after that they are still valid topics for discussion as in "Let's not EVER do THAT again!"

"All to look like you got me?"

You said "nobody", dumbshit.

Still reaching danforth? Wouldn't the fact you looked like such a complete moron, pasting a double end bag give you a clue to move on, and not want to be reminded of your incredible ignorance and stupidity on a subject you have no clue about?

""Non-partisan" and "non-ideological" do not describe Goatman in the least. He leans so far right he's liable to fall over at any second."

Nonsense. Goatman is the fairest, most non-partisan, most non-ideological poster the Drudge Retort has ever seen.

That's what our own intelligence services have reported: Al Qaeda recruitment is down (so are their bank accounts). The same that reported Bush's invasion of Iraq resulted in increased threats of terrorism and increased recruitment.

I'd love a chance to be on that rig with some of the righties. They would be forced to conform to my ideology.

Goatman is the fairest, most non-partisan, most non-ideological poster the Drudge Retort has ever seen.

And dull is the stupidest, most stoned, lazy, and ignorant poster the DR has ever seen. Everyone else who dislikes what I say has simply quit reading my posts. Dull? No. Like a good Demobrat, he whines to someone else (rcade) to take care of his "problem" with killfiles so he doesn't have to read my posts. LOL

"Or even better, the fool who said Al Qaeda recruitments were down because Obama got elected? " - Crispee

Crispee, make that at least TWO retractions you need to make:

Al-Qaida faces recruitment crisis, anti-terrorism experts say

"Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida is under heavy pressure in its strongholds in Pakistan's remote tribal areas and is finding it difficult to attract recruits or carry out spectacular operations in western countries, according to government and independent experts monitoring the organisation.

Speaking to the Guardian in advance of tomorrow's eighth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, western counter-terrorism officials and specialists in the Muslim world said the organisation faced a crisis that was severely affecting its ability to find, inspire and train willing fighters."

To Combat Obama, Al-Qaeda Hurls Insults
Effort Hints at Group's Consternation

By Joby Warrick
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, January 25, 2009

Soon after the November election, al-Qaeda's No. 2 leader took stock of America's new president-elect and dismissed him with an insulting epithet. "A house Negro," Ayman al-Zawahiri said.

That was just a warm-up. In the weeks since, the terrorist group has unleashed a stream of verbal tirades against Barack Obama, each more venomous than the last. Obama has been called a "hypocrite," a "killer" of innocents, an "enemy of Muslims." He was even blamed for the Israeli military assault on Gaza, which began and ended before he took office.

"He kills your brothers and sisters in Gaza mercilessly and without affection," an al-Qaeda spokesman declared in a grainy Internet video this month.

The torrent of hateful words is part of what terrorism experts now believe is a deliberate, even desperate, propaganda campaign against a president who appears to have gotten under al-Qaeda's skin. The departure of George W. Bush deprived al-Qaeda of a polarizing American leader who reliably drove recruits and donations to the terrorist group.

We will be dealing with the wars, debt and misdeeds of this admin and the 40 years of neocon failed policies for many many years to come, beyond Obama's 8 years....that's for sure....

Woke is a fool!

Debt when Clinton left = $5.674 trillion

Debt when Bush left = $9.849 trillion

So the national debt rose $ 4.175 trillion $ in
8 years of the Bush administration, which adds up to
$521 Billion a year each year Bush was in office.

Currently the national debt is $11.618 Trillion dollars.

The national debt has increased a record $1.769 TRILLION Dollars in just 7 months...if Obama continues the current rate of spending
the debt will have increased $7.076 TRILLION dollars in just 4 YEARS !

Woke is a fool!

The Senate must soon increase the national debt limit to above $13 trillion and Democrats are looking for political cover.

Knowing they will face unyielding GOP attacks for voting to increase the eye-popping debt, Democrats are considering attaching a debt increase provision to a must-pass bill, possibly the Defense Department spending bill, according to Democratic and Republican sources.

Adding it to the defense bill would allow Democrats to argue that they voted for the measure to help troops in harm's way and downplay that their vote also expanded the limit for how much money the country can borrow.

Debt when Clinton left = $5.674 trillion

By the way, SlicksterWilly

The U.S. national debt has surpassed our GDP for the first time since WW2 spending.

George W Bush and the GOP Congress were the most reckless spendthrifts in the history of mankind - this 180 degrees from their rhetoric, making them 'liars'.

Reagan quadrupled it, Bush 43 increased it nearly 2 1/2 X's and left a legacy of perrenial obligations for the federal govt., including hundreds of billions a year to service that debt with nothing in return.

Clinton left a plan to pay it OFF AND shore up SS. Bush and the GOP blew that out of the water, because as Dick Cheney said "Reagan proved deficits don't matter".

Put a sock in it for your own good.

Complete BS. Please argue the bailout and "stimulus" were part of Bush's 09 budget.

So David Cohen, the department's assistant secretary for terrorist financing isn't a qualified source Timex? You looked like a fool on 10-14-09 and you look like a bigger one now.

According to Cohen, al Qaeda is a cash-strapped organization that is losing its clout. That condition is the product of a long-running effort by the U.S. and its allies to cut off the terror group's sources of funding by targeting its deep-pocketed donors and interfering with its ability to move money.

In the first half of 2009, he said, al Qaeda leaders had made four public appeals for money to bolster recruitment and training.

Cohen, however, cautioned that situation could reverse quickly because a pool of donors "who are ready, willing and able to contribute to al Qaeda" still exists.www.miamiherald.com

FBI involvement
In the course of the trial it was revealed that the FBI had an informant, a former Egyptian army officer named Emad Salem. Salem claims to have informed the FBI of the plot to bomb the towers as early as February 6, 1992. Salem's role as informant allowed the FBI to quickly pinpoint the conspirators out of hundreds of possible suspects.
Salem, initially believing that this was to be a sting operation, claimed that the FBI's original plan was for Salem to supply the conspirators with a harmless powder instead of actual explosive to build their bomb, but that the FBI chose to use him for other purposes instead. He secretly recorded hundreds of hours of telephone conversations with his FBI handlers.[23]

First of all, genius, Clinton took office in Jan 93, not 92.....during that time, 41 was potus.....

Secondly, despite your pathetic attempts to project my pov, I believe the perps who attacked us are responsible for all those attacks, not Clinton or either bush.....although, they both obviously could have been stopped had someone been paying attention....I'll let you decide who that might have been......

As for the debt, Obama inherited a broken economy. If would bother reading a valid opinion on how to fix it, you might begin to understand why an increase in the debt is necessary and not that problematic, as your hysterics seem to believe.

Try reading What Obama Must Do, by Paul Krugman, a nobel prize winner in economics who was shouted down when he attempted to warn of the impeding economic collapse a year or so before it occurred. In his "letter" he details how FDR guided us out of the depression, made things better for the unemployed American workers, and also what he did wrong....among them, listening to fearful naysayers like yourself screaming hysterically about a debt that will be erased eventually when the economy recovers.

WHAT is your plan to fix the disasters created by these failed neocon policies Obama inherited?

I only hear NO and namecalling and hysterics from the right at this point......they have nothing, no solutions to the problems they've created, only more of the same, status quo.......

Most Americans showed how they feel about that back in November 08.

So Timex is arguing the 1.7$ trillion increase to the debt was in Bush's 09 budget.

Timex is a fool.

PS Your opinion of me is just more insulting BS. Facts make you look like a fool time after time. You and Slickster, since he brought up the debt.

What should we expect from those who vote for a party that lies, does the opposite of their rhetoric and then whine about the results of their own actions?

#224...

Did you bother to read the article Timex? Or was that too much to ask? Is "long running effort" and the words "several years" above your reading comprehension?

According to Cohen, al Qaeda is a cash-strapped organization that is losing its clout. That condition is the product, he said, of a long-running effort by the U.S. and its allies to cut off the terror group's sources of funding by targeting its deep-pocketed donors and interfering with its ability to move money.

In the first half of 2009, he said, al Qaeda's leaders made four public appeals for money to bolster recruitment and training.

``We assess that al Qaeda is in its weakest financial condition in several years, and that, as a result, its influence is waning,'' Cohen said.

As for the debt, Obama inherited a broken economy.

Maybe I missed this crucial part of his campaign promises, but I don't remember him saying, "Elect me and I'll keep blaming Bush". I seem to remember something about "hope and change".

But I could be wrong.

Strange how the disasters all occurred when the DEMS took control of congress in 2006.

Bush and the GOP lied. Said they were for 'smaller government' and whine about the debt they ran up all on their lonesomes, plus left us trillions in unfunded perennial liabilities including Part D and hundreds of billions a year in debt service paments. They are liars.

No wonder the GOP is at 20% party ID between that and having standard bearers of the GOP like Palin and Limbaugh, who makes elected officials kow tow and kiss the foot he puts in his mouth on a daily basis.

God only knows what the hell you are talking about regarding "to Name the "intelligence experts"...."

"So Timex is arguing the 1.7$ trillion increase to the debt was in Bush's 09 budget."

Well, the guy was running a half-trillion dollar deficit, and injected about a trillion dollars into the banking system a few days before the near-trillion TARP plan passed.

I doubt the last two were "in" Bush's 09 budget at the outset, if that's your argument, but you can't deny those things happened on Bush's watch.

It actually hit $1.4 Trillion - largest deficit in world history. Bush's 2009 budget.

Obama has done more good to decrease Arab animosity than can be calculated at this early point in his Presidency. That's "President Obama" to you. lol

We know is Al Qaeda recruitment is down since Obama's election, and American image has been restored. Also, we know George W Bush's actions made us 'less safe' and 'increased the threat or terrorism' and 'increased recruitment'. - Our own intelligence services conclusions.

We also know that the Taliban has been able to regain control of over 80+% of Afghanistan territory under the miserable watch of George W Bush, who had other priorities like starting wars we didn't need to fight to the tune of thousands of American lives, trillions in American treasure, and INCREASED Al Qaeda recruitment.

Man when someone called you a dumb fuck on this, they couldn't have been more right. Here is a quip from another article. Maybe it will sink in timex, though I doubt it because it skews your ignorant rant the numbers are down BECAUSE OBAMA WAS ELECTED...

U.S. efforts to disrupt terrorist financing schemes have put organizations such as al Qaeda in dire financial straits. That was the assessment of Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing David S. Cohen, in a speech Monday at the ABA/ABA Money Laundering Enforcement Conference. The speech was an opportunity to highlight counter-terrorist financing efforts while calling for increased cooperation between the government and the private financial sector. Even a cursory review of the application of U.S. counterterrorism policies reveals not only that they are crippling the support structure underpinning international terrorist organizations, but that the effectiveness of these policies has forced these groups to "fundraise" in ways that are more likely to be detected ordinary criminal activity.

As Cohen explained, the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence has been focused on "developing policy to combat all manner of illicit finance at home and abroad from mortgage fraud to money laundering, from transactions facilitating WMD proliferation to those funding terrorists." By employing provisions in Title III of the USA PATRIOT Act, Treasury has played a central role in combating nuclear proliferation, assisted in the fight against narco-terrorism, and destabilized the financial support structure of international terrorist groups.

The Treasury Department has been focused on utilizing existing financial regulations to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons most notably in North Korea and Iran. Over the summer, Treasury designated two North Korean entities, the Korea Hyoksin Trading Corporation and Hong Kong Electronics, both of which are alleged to have assisted the North Korean regime in the development of its nuclear weapons program. In explaining the need to crack down on these front companies, former Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Stuart Levey explained, designations are "a part of our overall effort to prevent North Korea from misusing the international financial system to advance its nuclear and missile programs and to sell dangerous technology around the world."

While these actions have not prevented nuclear proliferation in North Korea, they have been effective in reducing the likelihood that legitimate corporations will be abused in the process. Commenting on related attempts to curb the development of nuclear technology in Iran, Secretary Cohen explained, "in the event that Iran's actions make it necessary to implement this plan, it seems quite likely that we will . . . ensure the effective implementation of any financial, investment or trade-related measures that are imposed."

i believe you will like it there ....well organized, ability to post threads, some good people there, left and right, conservative and liberal....even a few fence sitters....lol

"Post #221 is still there and waiting for your reply."

You mean the one where you posted "Did you notice all the arts and craft prior to the single link? "

So you admit there was at least ONE link?

Even after you claimed "nobody"? And without a caveat like "must be before any other listings"?

Thanks for -- once again -- posting something that proves you wrong.

I think O'Loudmouth needs waterboarding much worse than Cheney, he has outlied Cheney and Bush both 100 to 1, and still lying, and will continue lying till his ass rots in hell...

Ok Mr. Ignorance...Prove that one person lives in the USA. Funny you lied about saying I limited in to stores in So Cal, you lied about cherry picking a few stores, that happened to be the largest sellers of sporting equipment... But hey you found one out 300 million who calls it a speedball. Classic

re my #264:

I see woke is still scared shitless to come to grips with his party over god issues.

Too late. God aleady has you on his "straight to hell" list for mocking his son's name. LOL

I never claimed to be a "good" christian, just that i attempt to follow the teachings attributed to Jesus of Nazareth, and I have it on good authority that Jesus has a sense of humor....furthermore, i wasn't mocking him, but you....a la Homer Simpson.....

but, please continue to spew as you always do...

i'm a big liar right....you never called Obama the messiah, you never listen to rw talking points, namecalling/insults and regurgitate them over and over and over....like a good lil german ...

right?

Even after you claimed "nobody"? And without a caveat like "must be before any other listings"?

BTW... I take it you were too embarrassed to type speed bag at Amazon where you found that one link amongst all the arts and crafts, maybe because nothing came up other than the speed bags? Hmph, if it was synonymous one would think they would have the same pictures come up.

But you come here for the comedy. BHHHWAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

you never called Obama the messiah,

???

I call him that all the time. Lay off the anchor steam, dude. LOL

....furthermore, i wasn't mocking him, but you....

I'm sure god will forgive you for mocking his son in order to get a cheap shot at me, eh? LOL

Right.

I know it is difficult for a sheep like you to understand, but some people don't belong to a flock and can come up with independent ideals on their own.

I won't waste my time trying to explain the concept to a mind controlled partisan, though.

Timex,

Still waiting for your retraction and apology. Not to mention owning up to your briliant line "Treasury Dept.?? WTF? Finance is not recruitment." It appears post #265 makes you look rather foolish.

"I take it you were too embarrassed to type speed bag"

That wasn't your barometer. I know it's more often referred to as a speed bag. But that wasn't your claim.

I went to Amazon.com, and typed in "speedball", and a this page was offered:

www.amazon.com

Crispee

Your BS post on finance has nothing to do with lowered recruitment, which costs a website, word of mouth, and willing recruits who don't know if they have a billion or a million in the bank.

Call me a dumb fuck all you want to. Won't make it so. I'm far more informed than you appear you'll ever be. You throw some crap up against the wall and then rely on insults to make your case. Wow. How unimpressive. You don't even know what a 'debate' is. What it isn't is someone like you throwing one insult after another like a baboon flings its poop.

Even CSI Miami is more interesting than 'debating' an ill informed and rude asshole such as yourself. THAT'S really saying something. David Caruso is a better actor than you are a debater. THAT'S REALLY REALLY saying something!

Independent ideals? Like calling obama the messiah? Yeah, ok.

Right, well that's kinda difficult to glean from someone spewing one of the main rushaddict rw talking point insults.....over and over....then pretending someone else is "mind controlled", eh?

I'm still waiting for that proof that I spew rush talkin points.

Still lying, I see. LOL I guess if that's all you got is lies, go for it, eh?

"Call me a dumb fuck all you want to. Won't make it so. I'm far more informed than you appear you'll ever be..."

Sorry if the partisan shoe fits timex. But when you ignore the number one source of keeping tabs on Al Qaeda recruiting, what other term is applicable? You whined about wanting a retraction because you find a couple of articles in the Guardian and Post, and I give you the Department in charge. One would think the Treasury Dept would credit their boss, if it was warranted, but they state the numbers are down because of their work the last few years, not Obama's election. I thought providing a source which refutes yours, is debating.

Let's recap:

2001 "I want Bin Laden dead or alive" - George W Bush
2006- Al Qaeda recruitment UP - FIVE years after 9/11
2009- Al Qaeda recruitment DOWN ONE year after Obama takes office.

2001 "U.S. Invades Afghanistan"
2009- Afghanistan 80+% controlled by the Taliban

2001 "United States federal budget - $1.9 trillion (submitted 2000 by President Clinton)"
2009 "2009 United States federal budget - $3.10 trillion (submitted 2008 by President Bush)"

2001 "U.S. sees 2nd Surplus in a row. Clinton plan to ELIMINATE the U.S. National Debt"
2009 "U.S. National Debt hits $12 Trillion

2001 Deficit = none
2009 Deficit = $1.4 Trillion

That, Crispee, are the results of your beloved George W Bush and GOP'S management of our country. No wonder you can't debate like normal adults. You have no debating points to make. The facts are clear. Crystal clear. Period.

Oh, my, another Amazon "speed ball". And this one from Texas:

www.amazon.com

So I guess the claim "Nobody in the last 30 years calls it a "speedball" outside Europe and maybe Asia" was wrong.

Sheepskinless and sensitive about it

I didn't know that.

But I hope you aren't mad that I take my sexual stalker with a grain of salt and just consider his erotic flights of fantasy as simply that.

You are right, I don't have a diploma, but since I am in the top 7% wage earners in this country, single, one of my homes paid for, no debts, I'm not as sensitive about it as you'd like me to be. Sorry, m'boor.

Funny, I thought we were debating your ignorant claim Al Qaeda's recruiting numbers are down because Obama was elected. Now, when you are proven wrong, you invoke Bush? Did I say anything about giving Bush credit for the numbers being down? Nope. Did I mention anything about the budget or whatever the hell you wrote? Nope. I stayed on track and provided the truth from an unbiased source who happens to know. Sorry if that hurts little man. Suck it up, you will be wrong again.

Would you agree there is a relationship between intelligence and college degrees, Tweedle?

No I wouldn't. People are as intelligent before the go into college as when they get out. You either have it or you don't. Throwing your life savings at an ivy league college doesn't make a person intelligent.

Sorry if you've been misinformed about that.

I would say the articles I posted are nuclear missiles compared to the single 22 bullet articles you posted. Let's take a look and see which has more firepower. Notice how your articles don't mention anything about Obama being elected is why the numbers are down? Funny, neither do mine. Oh I see, because Al Qaeda insults Obama, then it is obvious their numbers are down because they don't like Obama and therfor he is the reason??? Do you think that would win a 5th grade debate?

Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida is under heavy pressure in its strongholds in Pakistan's remote tribal areas and is finding it difficult to attract recruits or carry out spectacular operations in western countries, according to government and independent experts monitoring the organisation.

Do they have a 'Debating 101' class at a High School or Junior College near you? 'Defeating yourself' is probably covered in week 1.

It's good to laugh, Tweedle. "Probably"? LOL.

Yes, probably.

Or I guess you think that W who has a degree from Yale is intelligent?

Whatever you say, mr advanced degree. LOL

Crispee

While you're at it see if a hospital in the OC can treat Cheney's CRS (Can't Remember Shit). 22 times? No wonder he or his boy, W, would never testify under oath. Refusing to testify under oath to the 9/11 Commission was the crappiest thing I've ever seen a President and VP do. No wonder they ended up with lower approval than Nixon and Agnew.

You've made the same logical error twice tonight, Tweedle. If something is generally true, it does not become untrue just because there are exceptions to the general rule. (I would have thought even a HS education or life experience would have taught you this.)

Well, I am sure if it did a few decades ago, they would have understood the difference between Obama being elected and Bush leaving office. Don't ya think Sparky? Far cry from your claim that the numbers are down "because" Obama was elected. You do see that right? Of course had you followed up on the articles I pasted....

Crispee.

What's you're answer to #288?

Texas isn't in America?

Sad that that is all you have left m'boor. I honestly thought you had something better in you. I should have knownd better.

"No wonder he or his boy, W, would never testify under oath."

Once again you inject Bush when you have nothing else. But let's play that game with your post. No sitting POTUS or VP would willingly testify under oath. Not that Bush or Cheney should have to suffice to a few partisan hacks like Benevidez and others on the commission.

Just curious if you believe the Warren's Commission's official version of the single bullet theory? Did Johnson testify under Oath?

Of course you do danforth. Anyone with an IQ of 75 would have simply gone to any of dozen retail stores and provided that as proof. Maybe like the four of the leading stores I linked and you couldn't bring yourself to open. But you think going to amazon where one of the links clearly says "speed bag" in the description and that helps your case? That refutes my statement nobody in America calls it a speedball? How does the fact you lied about what was said, took the time to find anything, including pasting a picture of a ball ignorantly thinking it was a speed bag, not make you a desperate little man? Either to prove me wrong or you right? Ok maybe not desperate, how about pathetic?????

I can settle this. I did an unbiased analysis and when I found the actual definition of "speedbag" it was a picture of Crispee's face.

Too funny. You proved you didn't even know what continent was being talked about.

Poor, poor drunky dwarf... Been eating at you almost three days now? Not enough alcohol to get over the fact you were punked? Don't blame me someone pointed out your extreme ignorance and foolish post. Of course had you ever hit a speed bag, you would know there is a gap between you and the bag and the correct height would make it hard to hit one in the face. Unless they were drunk and uncoordinated like yourself and attempted to try in order to look like they could. Which pretty much goes back to your original farce that Ali used a speedball to practice punching before a bout. It just makes you look like an idiot to anyone who has even the minimum knowledge about boxing. Why you want prove your worth to those that don't is rather telling.

Ketamine? Diazepam?

I believe those would be for broken down old farts like yourself Drunky. Did you just come back from the hospital and they are fresh on your mind? Maybe you should back off those and the alcohol. Would slow down the obvious senility and alzheimers setting in. Maybe if you took better care of yourself, you wouldn't have ended up some bitter, insolent old man living life through a oxygen mask posting on a website. A drunk dwarf must also have been hard to overcome and is probably why you come off as such a bitter old man here. Sorry I can't feel your pain Drunky.

If they did it was worth their lives to keep America from finding out that there was no basis for invading Iraq.... according to "Duck!" Cheney.

Cheney is one persian cat away from being a perfect Bond villian.

"If they did it was worth their lives to keep America from finding out that there was no basis for invading Iraq.... according to "Duck!" Cheney."

Of course sending a paid advisor to Kerry who happened to be her husband out on some sort of fact finding mission didn't put her at risk either, right?

Must be time for Matlock and the Golden Girls hour. #338 | Posted by crispee_oc

So you'll be occupied for, what, an hour, ninety minutes? Enjoy your respite from the hard werk of contending with being a punchdrunk Palooka, Pakook.

Of course Mister know it all who calls Bert AKA "Sweet as Sugar"... BWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! What a moron.... Tell us more about your expertise. Maybe you call Joe Frazier the "Louisville Lip" lol

"Joe Frazier the "Louisville Lip""

What? You think Joe Frazier was the "Louisville Lip". BWAAHAHAHAHA, you' sure aren't very intellgent.

Oh, wait....I was having a Cris Pee moment there.

Carry on.

Maybe you call Joe Frazier the "Louisville Lip" lol

Dont' know why I'd do that, Palook. Me, I'd call him Joe "The Beaufort Smoker" Frazier. You, being an idiot, would assume I thought that was his "official" nickname and tell me I'm a liar. So it was with "Sweet As Sugar." Here's the funny part, Palook: You were stoopid enough to assume that just because someone bestows a name here on the DR it has to conform to outside-the-blog knowledge. Jeezus, you've moved beyond Stoopdville to Morontown and deep into Palookaville. You'd be sad if you weren't so unintentionally hilarious.

#348...

Let's review so everyone here can see what a fucking fool you are... This is the first entry when one googles Bert AKA "Sweet as Sugar"...

Jul 24, 2009 ... Bert Sugar is one of the scribes that said he'd wished SRR had copyrighted ... "Sweet as sugar," answered Gainford.
www.eastsideboxing.com

The nickname "Sugar Ray," like manager...
George Gainford, "That's a sweet fighter you've got there." "Sweet as sugar," answered Gainford. The nickname "Sugar Ray," like manager Gainford, would be with Robinson for the rest of his career.

Bert Sugar is one of the scribes that said he'd wished SRR had copyrighted the "Sugar" moniker as no one should be allowed 2 compare himself 2 the original SRR

Tell everyone again Drunky that you invented and knew who Bert Sugar was when I referenced him... BHWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

"Joe Frazier the "Louisville Lip""

What? You think Joe Frazier was the "Louisville Lip". BWAAHAHAHAHA, you' sure aren't very intellgent.

danforth 101 rule of blogging...

Prevaricate and obfuscate. I guess it is better than linking a picture that proved your ignorance though.

Oh, wait....I was having a Pee moment...

Maybe you should try standing up, more gravity than your normal sitting position might help.

"you' sure aren't very intellgent.'

Another danforth rule of blogging... Point out a spelling error to mask the shame of being punked....

No, and I already replied: "Dont' know why I'd do that, Palook." It's a term you used. It's what's called an "example." It's not a "fact." Remember Crispee?

Right about now you've sailed through "Freaked Out" and are coming up "Dumbfuck."

Palook, if you didn't get classified as a "Special Needs" kid in school chalk it up to clerical error.

"Point out a spelling error"

Only when someone is calling out another's "intellgence". Or "stupididty".

It's a classic self-retorting retort, like "your an idiot".

to mask the shame of being punked....

Uh oh, Crispee Palooka's slipping into manly-man mode. Better watch out, Danforth, the nunchucks should start whirling any moment now. LOL.

Only when someone is calling out another's "intellgence". Or "stupididty".

So what does it make the troll who is either too stupid or lazy to read a post? Maybe you can point out how my misspelling "intelligence" was calling out anothers???

You laugh at me after your brilliant retort Bush wasn't intellgent?"

You laugh at me after your brilliant retort...

Crispee, people were laughing at you even before then.
People have been laughing at you for a very long time.
And will continue to do so.

Another expert opinion from someone too stupid to put the post in context?

As much as I enjoyed you being able to drag the other two stooges into linking a picture of a double end bag in a desperate attempt to defend your ignorance, thinking it was on point, I do have a skins game at noon. But again, thanks for the laughs and continue to use boxing analogies in the future. Everyone can use the free laugh at your expense....

"Maybe you can point out how my misspelling "intelligence" was calling out anothers???"

It was in the same post, moron.

"You laugh at me after your brilliant retort Bush wasn't intellgent?"

Once again, Mr. Pee offers a post that proves the other guy's point.

Another expert opinion from someone too stupid to put the post in context?

Right, Crispee Palooka, you've managed to do it again.
In fact, you've just about mastered that skill.
Ready to move on to "Clown Makeup 101"?
But only if you feel you're up to it.

Val who?

Cagey Dick is using the Olivia Soprano defense.
Shrewd.

"22 Things Cheney Can't Recall About Plame"

What's worse!

Cheney as VPOTUS?

OR

This!...

www.youtube.com

The Vil-ee-giiz.....

Bwahahahahahahaha!!!

MoveOn.org. If Bubba's lying and perjury doesn't count, why should Cheney's - especially since Fitzgerald ALREADY KNEW that 1) Armitage is the one who outed Plame to Robert Novak, and 2) Plame was no longer a covert operative at the time of her outing, so no law had been broken?
Wannabe-clever double-standard jerks really suck! So does Fitzgerald. Nobody cares about this stuff, so let's MoveOn.org!
Full disclosure: As a libertarian-leaning individualist, I didn't vote for either 41, Bubba, W, or O. I just don't like aggressive wannabe-clever double-standard jerks of either "left" or "right".
