Fifteen people have been killed on a remote ranch in Sonora state, Mexico, including a prominent union leader. The killings bear the hallmarks of drug gang murders. More than 15,000 people have died in drug-related violence in the country since 2006.

Did that really have to be DRUG into it?

Besides the brutality and the sadness of this crime, none of these poor people will get to see the Phillies take the World Series again.

Legalize all drugs. Take the money out of the equation. Then the bloodshed will cease. But then our prisons will be almost empty. Can't have that.

In the land of the impoverished, the one controlling the drug trade is king.

The only way this bloodshed will ever end will be for the Mexican economy to develop to the degree that young unemployed people are able to find a financially rewarding future without going into the drug trade.

How many died from bad heroin the same day? Drugs are a health problem, not a legal problem.
