In a Pew Political IQ test conducted over the phone with 1,002 adults from Oct. 1-4, Republicans answered all but two of 12 questions at a higher rate than Democrats -- including one on the name of the newest Supreme Court member and the party in control of Congress.

Another crackpot GOP poll from the braindead idiots on the far right.

With love,

-Dockdannyskidcork and their merry band of koolaiders

no real surprise here...I mean..

I are a collage graduatte.

*** You likely won't see this poll result elsewhere, ****

......this part is true......

.....a twelve question general knowledge test .....

...where one of the answers is Glenn Beck........

....can't argue with that......

haha can't wait to see the spin on this.

You want spin? Ok, I'll try to give you what may be the Democratic spin on this:

Knoweledge is irrelevant. It only matters what we feel and having empathy for people. Republican are mean-spirited, always wanting to be right instead of caring about people.

How about that?

so let me throw this in
anyone think that maybe its usually the minoprity opposition that does more homework on issues?

Republican are mean-spirited, always wanting to be right instead of caring about people.
How about that?

......you forgot that they are corporate whores in the pocket of big business, who don't care how many Americans, die, are foreclosed, evicted, unemployed, or underpaid, as long as the bucks keep rolling in from their corporate masters.....

...........nah......don't mention it....just happy to help out.........

please....

and so the rich fat cat limosine liberals are just what>?>?>? not there or you just dont count them?

If GOPhers really are so smart, how is it that they are consistently so stupid?
Unless of course it is all a subterfuge to justify their interminable greed.

IQ test?? You're joking right?

what you are saying is stupid is an attack designed by people like rhom and others .

the left has to attack our chraracter and our IQ ..HERE AS WELL...because they know that the more people know about them, the sooner they will be on msnbc in the morning.

its straight out of the alinsky book isnt it?

1,002 adults were asked 12 questions. Helluva standard

Congratulations Member You have joined the ranks of JeffJ with Partisan bullshit excreted out of the Republican "Thought" machine. More bullshit as usual.

Larry

Yeah, Afk, no Republicans ever attack their opponents. You should talk to Max Cleland about that one. And hell, John McCain.

I got 'em all right. I is smart.

OK, so what if we ran this quiz?
1. Whose fault is it for the housing crisis?
2. Whose fault is it for our high unemployment?
3. Whose fault is it for our problems in the Middle east?
4. Whose fault is it for our recession?
5. Whose fault is it for anything and everything?

"......you forgot that they are corporate whores in the pocket of big business, who don't care how many Americans, die, are foreclosed, evicted, unemployed, or underpaid, as long as the bucks keep rolling in from their corporate masters.....

You mean don't mention the millions recently given to the likes of Schumer and Dodd and many other Dems by those bailed out by Washingotn? The same corporate masters seem to be unbias.

Below is an earlier post from me, on another thread, regarding corruption among the Democrats. I do distinguish between two kinds of corruption, and so should you, ONE, is where a legislator takes advantage of connections to make money for himself, TWO, is where a legislator takes lobbying money AND VOTES AGAINST THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE....that is what I mean by a corporate whore legislator....this type of whoredom, seems to be the defining raison d'etre of current Republicans....

But all your disdain is pointed at repubs. Just curious why the dems get a free pass? Do they have red herrings as well?
.......#16 | Posted by crispee_oc

.....the Democrats do not get a free pass from me.....

.....most of them, most of the times, are on the right side of an issue.......

.....but I was one of the few here who called for the Democrats who voted for the Iraq War to resign in shame (they knew it was a fake)......

....when Jefferson was caught with cash in the freezer, I said he should go to jail,........

......I do not defend Democrats just because they are Democrats, but, the Republicans are acting like a criminal gang, taking lobbyist money, and lying with every breath (again with a few exceptions)......the Repubs do not care how many Americans die without healthcare, are evicted, bankrupted, lose their life savings due to lax bank regulations.......they just seem to be total corporate whores.......there is no nicer way to say it........

I've never been a fan of mandatory voter qualifications, but if you can't ace this maybe you shouldn't be able to vote.

I wasn't totally sure about troop levels in Afghanistan, but I still got it right.

Hahahahah

Hillarious.

Knowledge in the hands of idiots is dangerous.

Knowledge in the hands of idiots is dangerous.

ff

I always say that idiots with power are the most dangerous people in the world. There are a lof of idiots with power who want to control everyone else's life, that is the problem in this country. The Liberals are becoming almost like the Christian right wanting people not to eat certain foods are drive certain cars, etc. They need to get a life.

At least when I post a thread ranting about how stupid and evil rightwingers are, I don't link to some bogus study. Because really, that is all this thread really is, - just a rant by pathetic lowlife rightwingers grasping for some claim to intelligence above that of the rival.

I know you won't look but, what the heck.

raymondpronk.wordpress.com

Um Skizziks - you're working it a little too hard. Making the other paid Leftie posters look bad. Take it easy kid - nice and slow and we'll all look good. Don't work so fast or so hard, OK?

#25 Member: Just because I honestly and in good faith believe rightwingers are stupid, greedy and dishonest that does not make me any less a moderate. I am a moderate. I just call 'em as I see 'em.

#28 LOL - major self-retort.

Do you think we'd get the same result if we did the test on the DR posters.

smart people hang up the phone.

If we did a test could moder8 be included? Probably not since he's moderate and most likely independent and doesn't fit in either category.

"smart people hang up the phone."

I guess there's a big difference between less smart dems and repubs.

Damn...almost all correct....didn't know the DJIA.

Democrats are traditionally less informed. The dimwits putting down the study (for invalid reasons as well) just fit the pattern of an ignorant liberal.

Hey, but their guy speaks so well, what does the truth matter for anyway? We're all just supposed to "shut up".

The only people that voted for Obama were ill informed.

Any thinking, informed and self respecting person would never have cast a vote for Obama regardless what had been ran against him, vegetabale, animal or mineral.

I don't know if they were all ill informed as much as wishing for something truely different within what they believe politically. A lot is the same with the same cast of characters economically and yet a difference that is extremely dangerous and life changing for this country---more of a government that got us into this mess, control of dissent and the media, and more control of our everyday lives.

12 of 12 and the BONUS.

Yeah baby. That World Net Daily really is good.

IQ tests are racially and heterosexually biased.
Hence, IQ tests possess no validity whatsoever.

Bah. Independents are the smartest.

From the article...."but I don't remember too many articles using that as a lede."

Wile E. Coyote....Super Genius.

"its usually the minoprity opposition "

Whatever that is. Oh, but you gradumated from collage.

I think the ones who are the smartest in politics are the ones who retain their core values and never waiver from their upbringing no matter Right Left Middle of the roaders. While they are in political office. If one can do that they have a great head on their shoulders.

Larry

I guess there's a big difference between less smart dems and repubs.

--------

Go fuck yourself.

And as I said: smart people don't answer polls

It sounds like you are the braindead idiot. Poll after poll shows repubs are much more informed, and have a greater knowledge of politics, then dems.
Get over it pal and stop living in denial. The uninformed morons reside in your party.

I guess you have answered quite a few polls then, huh Shawn?

"This is a Pew Political IQ test conducted over the phone with 1,002 adults from Oct. 1-4. They were asked 12 questions, and answered an average of 5.3 questions correctly, according to Pew."

And this what you're so proud of? Guess you'll take whatever little bitty wins you can get.

I guess you have answered quite a few polls then, huh Shawn?

Go fuck yourself.

And as I said: smart people don't answer polls

Nothing like a big bunch of inner-city Obama voters to make me realize how uneducated I am. Or when Leno goes Jaywalking in LA and interviews Obama's base.

I would have suspected you or maybe two others here to bite the lure. Congrats.

Loony Libs, too EZ.

Chapel???

Are you who I think you are?

The Dems didn't read it, they just signed it.

What do you mean by this? The learning process stops when new data is presented? Idiocy. Unless you mean that a Republican suddenly "sees the light" and disavows that party of corruption.. Change is inevitable and desirable. Do you mean something other than office-holders who start off as corporate whores and continuing whoring?

Do you think we'd get the same result if we did the test on the DR posters.
#30 | Posted by matsop at 2009-10-31 02:43 PM

Not a bad idea. Two polls - one constructed by Democrats/Progressives and the other Republicans/Conservatives. We'll see which party answers which list better. 4 yes/no, 4 multiple choice people and 4 multiple choice legislation. Not too tough, but no name-calling non-questions. Coolio?

.....a twelve question general knowledge test .....

...where one of the answers is Glenn Beck........

....can't argue with that......

#4 | Posted by skizziks

I can argue that Glenn Beck was one of the questions - not one of the answers.

#55--- great idea. How about this question?-- which president was in office and did the following 1.Lowered the capital gains tax from 28%-20%. 2.Cut the capital gains tax on the first $500,000 gain of a house sale to 0%. 3. repealed the glass steagall act 4. supercharged the community reinvestment act by extensively rewriting fannie's and freddie's rules ( turning 2 quasi-private mortgage funding companies into a semi-nationalized monopololy that dispensed cash to markets, loans to CERTAIN voting blocs, and handed favors, jobs and money to political allies-- inevitably led to corruption and fannie/freddie's collapse. 5. during his term the savings rate of Americans plummetted from 8%- 2%. 6. Had his treasury secretary rewrite the rules on home homeownership and rating of banks thus setting up the future loans to bad risks 7. began the manipulation of the gold market(turned Gibson's paradox on its' head) and began the "gold carry trade enriching a number of investment banks, provided subterfuge for actual higher inflation, dropped interest rates to low levels allowing huge consumption of Chinese products thus setting up the country for the largest trade deficits in history?

Gosh, it's a real sooprise GOPers would be significantly more aware of a guy many of them adore (Glennnnnnn Beck), something they vehemently hate ("Cap and Trade"), someone they were pissing and wailing against (Sotomayor), and the party that took the House of Representatives away from them in an election in which they were trounced. About as sooprising as the poll's finding that Dems are more aware of something they've been talking about frequently (US health spending v. Europe). Quelle shocker!

(The Pew report on their poll is at people-press.org)

I've been waiting for this for years.

...repealed the glass steagall act..
It's funny you mentioned the Glass Steagall Act. Perhaps the most damaging bill ever enacted in modern America. Clinton did sign it but you seem to forget the repeal was written by two republicans in a Congress that was a majority Republican and passed in the Senate with a 90 to 8 vote, which means there is no way Clinton could have vetoed the bill anyway. At least he tried to work with a hostile republican congress.

The Capital gains tax cuts were also very appropriate under the circumstances. Clinton managed to create a surplus by cutting back on welfare abuse and closing a bunch of cold war bases that republicans like to credit Reagen for ending, although the truth was Russia was bankrupt and couldn't afford it any more anyway.

#60--good for you ringmaster, you answered the question indirectly-- you get an A. I would dispute the fact that Clinton was that opposed to the bill-- if memory serves me right his teasury secretary, Robert Rubin (former co-chairman of government sachs) pushed for it and shortly thereafter took a job with citigroup where he made millions. The point of my posting was to destroy the myth that one party is inordinately evil and under the control of big business (lobbyists) and the other is good and for the common man and not under the control of big business (lobbyists). That's part of the con and the control of the masses.

The bill that ultimately repealed the Act was introduced in the Senate by Phil Gramm (Republican of Texas) and in the House of Representatives by Jim Leach (R-Iowa) in 1999. The bills were passed by a Republican majority, basically following party lines by a 54-44 vote in the Senate[12] and by a bi-partisian 343-86 vote in the House of Representatives.[13]
Have Democrats offered to re-introduce or pass a third Glass-Steagall?

The year before the repeal, sub-prime loans were just five percent of all mortgage lending.[citation needed] By the time the credit crisis peaked in 2008, they were approaching 30 percent.
What party held both the Presidency and the majority throughout those years? What about the prior Presidencies? It would appear that Republicans aren't just to blame for the repeal, but for years of continued malfeasance. Clinton's spectrum deregulation was his choice.

Nice of you to keep it intellectually honest.

which is why hi-tech industry and universities are mostly liberal with strong Democrat leanings.

YEAH!

This poll is backed up and validated by the well thought out comments on that other thread where these same "conservatives" are claiming that Visitors to the US will get "Free Healthcare".

You just cant make this shit up!

So says the Weekly Standard... a noted
purveyor of Conservative Propaganda...

Wy dont you just ask Bill O'Rielly or
Glen Beck while your at it. Your sure
to get a "fair and balanced" answer...

Might not be a "vast rightwing conspiracy",
but there sure as hell is a a "vast rightwing
propaganda machine"...

On what planet is this news?

Irony: On this side of the page, a list of things Republicans remember (because they complain about them). On the other side of the page, a list of things Dick Cheney somehow forgot.

#66. I don't know. Everyone knows that, generally, Democrats are dumb as rocks when compared to Republicans. This is hardly news to anyone with a brain.

Nutcase,

Maybe universities are full of Democrats because they are still trying to learn enough to graduate.

Glenn Beck is Whinny Dickhead
Cap and Trade deal(s) with Shell games
New Supreme Court Justice is Sotomoto
Party with the House Majority is Joe Lieberman
Current unemployment rate is greater than whatever they are saying it is.
Federal Reserve Chairman is a lying cheat just like his predecessor was.
DOW is currently fluctuating wildly around 9,500 but who gives a fuck. I have no money left.
Chair of Finance Committee Got Buckis
Iran/Israel share a border with the Palestinians
US Military in Afpak is either too many or too little depending on which day of the week it is.
Public Option deals with idiots who can't face the reality of providing health to the poor.
Us Health spending vs Europe is ridiculously higher with less care provided and the US won't even do my Laundry!

How did I do?

The only reason for an American to be Foreclosed on, Evicted, Unemployed or Undrpaid, is for that person to have no intelligence, ambition or pride in themselves. Just because the govmnt wants to kiss ur ass and buy votes by telling you that u can buy a house with no money down, doesnt mean that u should. And when SUPRISE!, you cant pay the note because you have never paid for anything on time, and you get foreclosed on, its the big bad corp. hores fault , not yours. And when you cant find or keep a job, because you are a lazy piece o shit who thinks they should be paid to do nothing, then its "The man's" fault. Give me a break. I work hard everyday as a mechanic to care for my family and Im not looking for a handout. I love my God and my Country. I guess thats the Conservative in me, and I wear that badge proudly.
