Nice to see the saudis keeping their hand in. Big question will be if maliki goes medieval on the sunnis and lets the shias & kurds wipe them out.

If Bush Sr. would have handled Saddam properly, the gulf war and Iraq war would have been unnecessary and Iran and Afghanistan would have been a different story also. Now, as it is, there will likely be nuclear devastation in the region before there are stable democracies in the middle east.

Does anyone ever really seriously expect it to be different in Iraq???? or, in Afghanistan??? another 14 Americans needlessly die there also... looks like we can look to see our troops continue to be slaughtered while some 'collars' in Washington keep their heads up their ass.. obviously, the ones with the final decision have no experience nor feel for the military or this type of war... just 'collateral damage' in their apathetic minds..
