Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The Republican congressman leading the fight to have Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) ousted as chair of the House's top tax-writing body has ethics problems of his own. Rep. John Carter (R-Texas) failed to disclose nearly $300,000 in profits from the sale of Exxon stock in 2006 and 2007, and his office said he will file amended financial disclosure forms.

And if he gets as long as Rangel has to be investigated then he is good for another term.

Slime in DC, the swamp continues.

Right on, Billy Jack! Rangel is innocent if you can say any of his accusers is guilty!

" In mid 2008, Carter did amend the 2007 form to include "capital gains", but he say how much he earned through the stock sale.
Carter did, however, pay taxes on those profits, according to his tax forms for those years. So the misstep appears to have been of a reporting nature, rather than a tax-paying nature."

Too funny. The headline is all the lefties will read.

"In a rich irony," this is how Democrats present news.

Hey KaBooM, the left will spin anything to try and deflect off O and Rangel.

I just hope that everyone reads the article because if you do you see that THIS CARTER has no TAX PROBLEM on this issue...so if he paid the taxes on it AS THE ARTICLE states..whats the real problem?
by paying taxes on it, does that mean that he wasnt trying to hide something

you know ...like the democrat who is in charge of LEVYING TAXES and his problems

or the democrat who is in charge of COLLECTING taxes who is a TAX CHEAT?????

No one can levy charges against anyone else in Washington if only the one with clean hands can make accusation.

That still doesn't make Charlie's problem go away.

That still doesn't make Charlie's problem go away.

Yeah But Bush....

The Left.

We've become a bannana republic-- we're there, folks. Let's see, threatening to muzzle media, corruption (widespread)in Washington and Wallstreet, huge deficits, unlimited printing of fiat currency, scams all through society, widespread patronage, and welfare to the upper and lower castes of society. I think our arrogance is finally being compromised

yawn....another republican in trouble....

This article is an attempt to distract from the fact that Charlie Rangel has LOTS OF ethics problems. The other guy should be investigated, as well, but let's not let one guy off the hook because another guy was doing it, too. Not everyone can get the Geithner treatment.

Vote 'em all out.....
