Plus, they live in a very poor region of WV; they probably didn't have any money. Maybe whatever meager resources they had was insufficient to pay for a defense. It's probably cheaper to just agree to go to jail than fight the charge.

Notice above Lisa, none went to jail. They probably all plead guilty to avoid jail, it happens all the time. Guilt or innocence is not something most prosecutors care about, they just want to win cases.

My son, when he was 18 was arrested for posession of pot, it wasn't his another kid sitting at the table he was at slid it accross the table. Well, long story short they tried to get him to plead guilty but he said no and won his case in court.

This story seems to lack even a cursory description of the physical evidence brought out at trial. Who was this Christa chick who allegedly brought this crazy "Victim" chick to the "party"? Wot's her story? Wot physical evidence (semen, cuts, burns, indication of restraints etc) was there to corroborate the woman's story?

All the articles Spud has found on this story are really crappily written and leave more questions than answers.
