5 attackers ran into a building in the area and have taken around 10-15 hostages.

They are trapped with no way out.

They will be killed by morning.

The taliban of Waziristan have taken responsibility for the incident.

If this was some attempt to stop that from happening, they have only ensured it will happen even worse for them.

We need heavy lift helo capacity and the old Mil's are a pain in the neck. Blackhawks aren't for attack - thats besides the point. What we need is troop/human transport, reliable quality and massive quantity.

We've had two major disasters in the North Pakistan in the span of five years. These are the second hishest mountains in the world. If I were in the governments place I would have asked for a fleet of 40-60 Blackhawks or Chinooks, or a domestic production facility to be set up to make these chopppers; to provide emergency relief and/or troop transport. Thats what we should have asked for after all the bullets we've taken for the United States.

I am sure once the Chinese begin making heavy lift choppers, we will start making them too under license.

The trend seems to be since a few years now that whatever new weapon or utility platform China starts making, Pakistan start making the same or similar.
