Clearly your myriad insecurities and failurings, afflications and addictions make it difficult for a tired, worn out old duffer such as yourself to cope. Seems to be doing quite well for a first weekend showing of a documentary, looks like it could be a top grosser along with some of MM's others that hold #1,3,6 top grossing documentaries. All but one of MM documentaries opened much lower in the first weekend then Capitalism.

They love to compare it to mainline movies, which is ludicrous. Moore consistently has an enviable ROI, and will this time as well. The box office for this is beating "Sicko", and only trails "Fahrenheit" as the fastest starting.

I may get to see it tonight, worked all weekend so I couldn't go. I think it is notable to consider that public opinion turned against Bush a while after Farenheit 911, Congress is considering health care reform now which is a while after Sicko and puhleeeeeez I just gotta hear the defense you righties will put up to the excesses of laissez faire capitalism Moore has put into his new film.

The only thing that really counts in looking at movie receipts is the Per Theatre Average (over a weekend) for the first three weeks of wide release, which is how most Box Office is estimated: 50K is very good, 30K is average, and under 10K is terrible.

Capitalism's PTA for the first weekend of wide release is 4K, which likely means for most movies, an early exit to DVD. Given the left's love for Mr. Moore, Capitalism may hang around for longer then, say, Gigli, but not for too long.

Michael Moore says he makes film editorials. I think language is interesting. : )
