I'm a Christian, but not the apocalyptic, end-times type. I don't know if I'm not well-read enough in the Bible, but I never understood the association between the end of the world and globalization. I'm not trying to play devil's advocate or anything -- I really, truly do not know what the Biblical connection is. I'm at the point where I'm pretty sure there is no Biblical connection, and fear-mongers use that idea to sell books and get people into megachurches.

Besides that fact, I always think about Jesus saying that nobody will know the time or the day, etc., of the end of the world. With that in mind, these 2012 things don't bother me that much, and neither do people claiming Obama or the EU or Israel is the harbinger of doom. If we trust the Bible, NOBODY will have an inkling that the end is coming, so there's really no need to worry about it. It'll happen when it happens, and that's that.
