Johnny Hotsauce It has to do with Justice Sotomayers declaration that the Second Amendment doesn't pertain to States and Localities that has Me worried. Now for the Record if I had My way I would ban ALL Guns. Every last one of them. But since it would be quite arrogant of Me to dictate what another person can and can not own I must support the Second Amendment and I do believe that States and Localities have to abide by the Second Amendment. Which Justice Sotomayer does not. I hope that clears that one up.

Thank you, Freechoice. I think it's absolutely horrifying that some people are wishing for someone to die. This happened with Kennedy, too. It just saddens me. I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone.

I wish Ginsburg health, but I don't see where the hysteria is coming from about Obama getting another appointment if she retires or steps down. Justice Sotomayor is a capable jurist who had more experience at her nomination than anyone else currently sitting on the court. If Obama makes another pick, I'm confident he'll find another highly suitable nominee.

As a conservative, I would not wish harm on Justice Ginsberg, even if I disagree with her politics or legal decisions. If it's her time, than so be it, but I don't wish harm or death on her.

As to the implications, I found it funny that someone said "Politics of the bench need to be set aside for now". As if Justice Ginsberg will valiantly hold off the Grim Reaper so she can get more Liberalista work done.

If she dies, then Obama will get another selection to the Supreme Court, but it won't tip the balance of the justices, as Ginsberg's already very liberal.

As for the comment "need a real black man on the bench. Thomas is an impostor', that person needs to grow up. Both Obama and Thomas are examples for young Black Americans that they can get to the highest offices in the country if they put their minds to it. I would not be surprised to find that Obama himself looked to Thomas as an example of what he could accomplish, being that he went to Harvard as a law student, and later taught law at the university level before getting into community organizing and politics.

Something that should have been put in my post was that a person does not have to agree with another person's politics to gain inspiration from, or admire what they do/did.

For instance, I don't think I would have liked FDR's politics, as he grew the government almost as much as Obama has done, yet he turned out to be a terrific war-time President.

Quite frankly, I dislike Obama's policies and politics, but the story behind the man can be admired, which is why even Bill O'Reilly said that young people can and should look up to the President.
