Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The Guantanamo war crimes court continues to operate under the old rules even as the Obama administration issues new ones, said Ramzi Kassem, the defense attorney for an accused Saudi. "Either the Obama administration is duplicitously saying one thing to the public and the media and doing another here or, you know, Guantanamo and the military commissions are like a headless chicken that just keeps on moving after it's been decapitated," Kassem said.

Keep fuckin' that chicken.

It's called the head of the horse doesn't know what the ass is doing or atypical gov't bureaucracy.

I'm sure Obama will get this all sorted out.

When the Constitution is Null & Void - So is the Democracy!

When you "Kidnap" people and torture them by way of setting up a seperate "Unconstitutional" government and a seperate unconstitutional "Kangaroo Court" judiciary like the US Military did in Guantanamo Bay - then its both CRIMINAL and TREASON!!!

***"I'm sure Obama will get this all sorted out"

Me too, however after the Bush administration, these guys think they are an autonimous arm of the US government...

Not the first time though; as far as Cheney was concerned, the VP wasn't part of the Legislative or Executive branch of American government. So, These guys aren't that far out of GWB's contract on America...

But, we are in agreement; Obama will whip their asses into line. Just give him a little time...

the administration will continue to hold the detainees without bringing them to trial based on the power it says it has under the Congressional resolution passed after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, authorizing the president to use force against forces of Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

In concluding that it does not need specific permission from Congress to hold detainees without charges, the Obama administration is adopting one of the arguments advanced by the Bush administration in years of debates about detention policies.

hope and change, you gotta love it.

Keep the faith bro, and all will be well.

Wheres the outrage? Or do we just all agree that all politicians are liars and nothing really changes.

Joe wants the address to GITMO?

I don't think they are taking applicants, Joe.

Why don't you give us your opinion on this story Corky?

-Wheres the outrage?

You mean faux-outrage, don't 'cha?

GOPhers like you have been wanting to torture them to death without trial, now you want to listen to their atnnys about policy.

Make up your "mind".

Hahaha ok man, take a chill pill.

I've never once wanted to torture someone to death. Does making outrageous statements equate with being more right in your mind? And please feel free to look through every post I've ever made and find one in defense of "torture".

the term faux-outrage is trite, by the why, but I don't expect you to stop using it, just realize that its exponentially less effective every time its used.

What I was trying to ask you in a civilized manner is "what is your opinion on this", and you attack "GOPhers like me" instead of respond, which clearly means you are upset about this news and don't know how to react, so no further comment is needed on your part.

Also as someone who was very far to the right in the past and have found myself moving more to the center after seeing shit like Palin, tea parties, and Glenn Beck gain prominence, I hear the logic of a poster such as yourself and realize that there is no way in hell that people on the far left are any better than people on the far right.

Dorky got owned. Don't expect her to come back.

She's used to it.

I just found it interesting that your admitted ilk had no use for these prisoners or their attnys.... until one of their attnys criticized the implementation of Obama's policy.

Now they are reliable, quotable sources.

But then, irony isn't typically a winger strong point.

You are right, they aren't reliable sources, and this is the problem you get when you allow potential terrorists access to US lawyers.

So you and I are in agreement.

But, we are in agreement; Obama will whip their asses into line. Just give him a little time...

#5 | Posted by Capt_Of_Uranus

You don't honestly believe that, do you?

Eddie, it's a non issue to Obama supporters, they really don't care if "their asses are whipped into line". As Corky demonstrated, as long as people of "our ilk" discounted claims of those held as terrorists in Guantanamo as well as their lawyers in the past, it doesn't really matter to them what they say now.

In fact, Corky went so far as to insinuate that he himself believes those being held and their lawyers aren't even reliable sources.

So really, both sides agree that there is no problem with what is going on in Gitmo.

Speak for Yourself only Andy. I desperately want the GITMO detainees to have their days in Court and if guilty lock em up. If Innocent then free them. That's how it works in this here United States.

Larry

Another episode of the Obama Amateur Hour... They have enough to fill an entire ratings season.

Just a word to larrymohr #25, American military are innocent as they go into battle, no-one on the other side asks or considers them innocent. Just the fact that they hate Americans is all they need to kill us. These detaineess were without uniforms, by rights they could all be terminated as spies. So pull your head out of captain of uranus' anus. Chances are very good that you have several living in your neighborhood trying to determine what the most effective way of wiping you and your family out, and as many other Americans that they can with the least amount of effort and cost. Islam hates Western values, they preach against it, and swore to murder the infidel, you are considered an infidel. So, ask yourself, why are they here? Oh, oh, me, me, ask me, Well, it's not cause they love America, it's not cause there is economic opportunity, that is against their religion, it's not cause we forced them to come here, it's not cause their religion is a religion of peace, just the opposite it was and is inspired by hatred.

You mean the same gitmo the zero campaigned on closing. Why does he still hold those 200 unfortunate overseas contingency operators?....and under what right??????

DICTATOR?
