But someone who'll be there that you didn't hear about is Kitty Werthmann. Kitty was 12 years old when Adolf Hitler was elected fuhrer of Austria.
...Werthmann said it took five years for Hitler to rise to a dictatorship, and is amazed at how fast history is repeating itself here. "It has to be done fast," she added, "so people won't catch on."

"Those of us who sailed past the Statute of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity." Werthmann concluded. "After America, there is no place to run."

Last night I watched a movie about Dietrich Bonhoeffer. After all, he was in a battle against National Socialists, too. It cost him his life. We need to rise up now to stop it before it comes to that.

More from Were' Nutty Daily:

Sounds a little like Obama's recruitment of government informants, i.e. the "snitch program," to turn in offenders for "fishy" speech. No arrests just yet, but the Department of Homeland Security has already tagged pro-family Americans as "the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States."

Paranoia, self destroyer.

"I fear rightwingers more than Al-Qaeda." -- Danni, and I am sure others share this belief

"No one in this world has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people." -HL Mencken

Oh how rich, you quoting Mencken!

I gotta post this again because it is like something out of the Onion:

Department of Homeland Security has already tagged pro-family Americans as "the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States."

WTF? That is rich!

It's just that your posts remind me so much of that quote.....

To be fair, the right wingers are already here and doing damage while, as Bush said, we are fighting Al-Qaeda over there so we don't have to worry about them here.

WTF? That is rich!

Military veterans are terrorists, remember when that revelation came out a few months ago?

#7

Yeah! How about them rightwingers blowing up radio towers!

That isn't what was said Member, but we have a steady reading comprehension problem among the partisan. What was actually said was that right wing organizations may be looking to recruit returning vets, not that returning vets were a threat.

Member,

#9 was among your most pointless rebuttals I have ever read and you have quite a collection for it to have competed with.

Department of Homeland Security has already tagged pro-family Americans as "the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States."

Oh and last time I checked, Pro-family Americans were not the same as Military veterans or in your world are only vetrans pro-family?

They are not the same. However, to suggest that something like that could be printed in the Onion is a stretch.

Member,
All Americans are pro-family. There is not a single human that hates family. To say the Department of Homeland Security is tagging "pro-family Americans as 'the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States'" is to try to expand paranoia to their readers who, while many are not returning veterans, all consider themselves pro-family Americans.

Then, to compound the threat against "pro-family Americans" by ending with "Last night I watched a movie about Dietrich Bonhoeffer. After all, he was in a battle against National Socialists, too. It cost him his life. We need to rise up now to stop it before it comes to that" is beyond irresponsible journalism and is almost calling for pre-emptive violence against the President. WND is going way too far with their rhetoric.

The way I interpret "pro-family" in this political context is conservative "value" voters who form groups to promote certain ideas they consider "pro-family" like censoring the Internet, etc.

Corky quoting Mencken. That is funnier than all the car antennae in the world.

Iraqi being able to read thru all the bukkake.... that's funnier than all the smokestacks on the moon.

However, to suggest that something like that could be printed in the Onion is a stretch.

Wow you're a few bulbs short of a full strand aren't you?

This disingenuous author puts the shiniest polish she can on the report on domestic terror groups and tries to sell it as meaning ALL conservatives. Pure utter hyperbolic bullshit and you know it.

So yes, it is something one would expect from the onion.

Wing Nut Diatribe?

They make the National Enquirer look like the NYT in direct comparison.

Department of Homeland Security has already tagged pro-family Americans as "the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States.

Promoting fear and perpetual victimhood through falsehoods seems to be their standard MO.

Saddest thing, of course, is that their readership base are too dumb to realise they are being played constantly.

Be Well.

This column is just loaded with real gems of sparkling intellect.

In the last nine months, Obama and the Democrats in Congress have successfully orchestrated the government takeover of Chrysler and General Motors along with countless banks.

Damn, Obama is one wily son of a bitch to somehow manage to get the auto companies and banks to adopt horrible business models centered around short term profit just so they could take them over after taking his pre-ordained position as POTUS in order to bring socialism to America!

He's smarter than we thought. Hell, he's a fucking evil genius when you consider the lengths he went to to fake his birth in Hawaii and cover his Kenyan roots.

that Obama's speech to the captive audience in the government schools complete with the essay assignment about how students could help him achieve his political goals was replaced once the American people got wind of it.

There is no evidence that the speech was changed after that debacle other than the belief that it was in the crazies heads who shit themselves over it to begin with.

I also love how the essay has slowly morphed from "how you can help the POTUS" as in how you can be involved in your country, to "how students could help HIM achieve his political goals".

But with a lineup kicked off by "Gov. Mike Huckabee, "Joe the Plumber," U.S. Reps. Michele Bachmann" what else would one expect?

I read We're Nutty Daily everyday so you don't have too. Most time I laugh myself silly, but every now and then, like today, they scare the shit out of me. Not for what they say, but for the fact that people believe it. I have often been tempted to reprint their daily polls here just for the entertainment value.

Rcade,
Do with this headline as you wish. I know I give you crap when you change them, but I also know "We're Nutty Daily" is too accusatory for your site.

Keeping it alive~!

"Does The Rightwing Care About Truth In The Least?

Hitler and his chief propaganda minister, Goebbels, were believers in the Big Lie. If you repeat an outrageous lie enough times in enough mediums, many people will begin to accept the lie as truth.

Today, the Republican Party in general, and the far rightwing in particular, seems wedded to the notion that ....."

Vern,
Are you honestly comparing a blog written by Moder8 to a National Newspaper with millions of readers? Moder8 should be flattered.

Were any of the speakers hinting or calling Obama Hitler or his policies as such?

Didn't think so...

So they found some old lady who has seen the worse of the worse and lived to tell us about it.

Is she being too sensitive--or is it the author?

You have to admit that Obama is doing some pretty weird shit.

Yes Murphy, the comparisons being made in the article are those of the author who is using the comment by the person as a leaping off point. Read it again.

Iraqi being able to read thru all the bukkake.... that's funnier than all the smokestacks on the moon.

You can always tell when ol' Cork has been kicked in the box...a feeble joke with my name in it is a guarantee.

Hey Cork, time to wash your mouth out with soap. We all know a government pillow biter such as yourself is forbidden to speak the words of a free thinker like Mencken. Run along and find a story about how wonderful it is that bankers are making a profit from all the money they have stolen from the American people.

Here's a couple of my favorite Mencken lines:

Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under

I believe that all government is evil, in that all government must necessarily make war upon liberty...

Some people believe in having good government, government of, by, and for the people.

Others believe that government is evil, mostly because a third rate actor, sidekick to a chimpanzee, told them so.

Is this satire? I can't tell.

Regardless of anything else we believe to be true in our lives, we may want to pause for a moment and give these words some careful consideration.

Kan, great thread. WND they make me laugh too.

Check out the title on this "unbiased" poll.
