[Eric Cantor]

During his speech before a joint session of Congress last week, President Obama addressed voter skepticism about his health-care overhaul. The fact remains that tens of millions of Americans are still concerned about his plan and its ultimate impact on the cost, quality and accessibility of health services nationwide.

President Obama's biggest problem is that the widespread concern over his $1 trillion reform plan is real, organic, and legitimate. Now that we've had a week to digest the president's remarks, let's pull back the facade, open up House bill H.R. 3200, and take a look at five reasons why the American people are right to feel apprehensive:

So it's been a week since the speech in congress and the polls faded downward after a small bump up.

52% against. (Rasmussen)

There was a regular Dem from MI on today--the CAPPS Amendment allows the federal gov't to pay for abortions. (Trying to recall his name).

he has tried over and over to get rid of the amendment to no avail.

He said there are enough votes with Dems and Repubs to defeat the bill just on the abortion issue alone if not fixed.

ahhhhhhhhhh, the obamaplan - where the premiums NEVER go up, but your deductible is 80%! j/k - i heard the dedictible will go from 20% to 35%. funny how that works.

now danforth will be along to ask me where it heard that - peter johnson, legal analyst, fox news, within the past two days - he's doing an ongoing five minute segment in the mornings. watch it.

"peter johnson, legal analyst, fox news"

No shit? Someone from Fox barfing up unproven bullshit? Wake me up when you have some actual proof.

"ahhhhhhhhhh, the obamaplan - where the premiums NEVER go up, but your deductible is 80%! j/k - i heard the dedictible will go from 20% to 35%. funny how that works."

YEAH!

Its Just Silly to Stop Paying Premiums on Service you Never Use in Favor of paying a Deductible for the Service You Do!

Fuck, nanc ----- you truly are Fiscally Retarded! Can you Manage a Checking Account (rhetorical question, I know you don't have one)!

Ahhhhhhhhhh! Or in your case, Duhhhhhhhhhh!

Actually I think there is a far greater liklihood of President Obama Reading and FULLY UNDERSTANDING the bill he signs into law than 99% of the rightwing hacks who will be denouncing the bill as unacceptable socialism based on talking points and general ignorance.

Cantor is not calling names to Obama.

He is pointing to actual sections of the bill to prove up his points of opposition.

Cantor is part of the 1% of the opposition who can intelligent articulate his concerns about the bill. I have no problem with intelligent opposition even if I disagree with the conclusions.

"Cantor is not calling names to Obama"

Speaking of Cantor --- Why Doesn't he Get that Googley Eye Fixed!

It's Like You Never Know What he is Looking at! Creepy!

I can't decide who's creepier ----- ex-Senator Maccaca Clutching his football, or Cantor's Wall-Eye!!

Both rate pretty high on the Creep meter!

So, repubs don't want legislation passed if there are people in the country who disagree? Was this how it worked while they were running things? I seem to remember a lot of disagreement with Bush and his Bush buddies.
