I've always loved to watch Jordan play, and as a businessman, have thought often about his phenomenal impact on the business side of the NBA. But, perhaps naively, I always hoped there was a good guy inside of the person. Despite evidence to the contrary, I thought (hoped) that he was misunderstood, etc. etc. His hall of fame acceptance speech killed all of that for me.
Great ability doesn't make great people. That's nothing new, but it's sad to see such a clear example of it.
