Not all criticism of Michelle Obama is motivated by racism. Nor is all criticism of Barack Obama motivated by racism. But if you read many of the posts made on the DR by some of the loonatics on the riiight -- that would represent some portion of the loons who are actually able to hunt-and-peck their way through a keyboard -- and tell me you don't pick up the nasty whiff of racialist thinking when it comes to comments made about the Prez and his wife, well, I'll be surprised. And, no, I'm not going to spend all day fishing them out. But if I get a chance I'll start putting together a collection and see what I come up with. Should make interesting (and disturbing) reading.

How you see that as a statement about (borrowing your terminology and inserting "riiightwing nutjobs" in place of "libs") how "whatever I read on the DR means that many or most riiightwing nutjobs around the country share these views" is beyond me. The operative phrase in my statement is "would represent some portion of the loons who are actually able to hunt-and-peck their way though a keyboard." My guess is that's probably not a majority of the riiightwing nutjobs, but a minority. In fact, the minority of the minority who might be able to walk three blocks in a medium-sized American city and not attract the interest of law enforcement officers. Take it as a given that the majority of the riiightwing nutjob minority wouldn't make it much more than a block.

Weird that a First Lady needs more than 5 or 6 aides but as long as she's hiring does she need an unlicensed masseur? And I do mean unlicensed
