Stooooopidity by any other name........

I don't know BeachBuzz, Frank and Dave just make such compelling arguments that I don't know who to believe. LOL!

Hussein is engaged in the most massive power grab in American history and the libs sit there quietly watching.

I guess they don't realize that Hussein will be out of power soon and the republicans will then have these new powers.

And the libs hated Bush for his "excessive power grab", but then Obama gets not a peep.

Obama claimed he had no choice but to vote for Fisa, but we know better than that.

The true believers/useful idiots of the left still keep supporting this guy, unbelievable.

I'm not really much of a lib, but if it makes you happy --

peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep,

LOL Chris!

But you forgot....Obama!

NO President should have control over the internet. The only time the Federal Government should become involved at all is if there were actual crimes committed involving use of the internet -- like child pornography. Otherwise, the goverment has no right nor place being in conrol of the internet.

Okay, LOL

peep, peep, peep Obama!

Sounds like a rightwing sheepstain's dream come true. If the president was Bush. They're still disappointed that Patriot Act II never got passed.

We have always been in favor of big government and them controlling our lives but we had to pretend different because we wanted back in power.

Sincerely, The Democrat Party

Concerning the Patriot Act, when are the Dems and their super duper majority going to repeal it? I won't hold my breath.

Another internet crime they should fight is identity theft. If Bernanke is a victime, what hope is there for the rest of us, mere mortals.

Well it would be pretty stupid to hold your breath when they never promised to repeal it. Why would they? They voted for it, with the exception of Russ Feingold.

With all due respect, did you have a point with this:

Sounds like a rightwing sheepstain's dream come true. If the president was Bush. They're still disappointed that Patriot Act II never got passed.

I am not trying to be shitty - you simply lost me on this.

"you simply lost me on this."

Seems pretty clear to me.

Please expound.

Again, I am not trying to be a dick - just trying to understand the thrust of your argument.

If they didn't promise to repeal the patriot act, what was the point of "change?" I guess it depends on the meaning of the word "change."

The point is that any increase in presidential power, e.g., the Patriot Act is cheered by rtards when it occurs under a rightwing president. They'll howl like monkeys when an Obama administration does it.

That post is really stupid. They didn't promise to legalize cannabis either.

You raise a good point - a point that cuts both ways.

Those who railed against any expansion of federal powers under Bush, champion said expansion under Obama.

Where do we truly draw the line?

"Those who railed against any expansion of federal powers under Bush, champion said expansion under Obama."

You do understand the distinction between spying on citizens and providing them healthcare, right?

Do you understand that every government-provision of healthcare on this planet has resulted in rationing to a crass and repugnant degree?

Every single one?

Are you able to recognize that such opposition isn't borne out of lies, fear-mongering, or racism? Every socialized healthcare system in the world is experiencing problems that Americans don't want.

I appreciate the point you raise regarding the Patriot Act, but I can just as easily turn it around on you regarding healthcare.

"Do you understand that every government-provision of healthcare "

Bla bla bla. That's just one example. The point is, not every expansion of federal authority is bad. I'm in favor of both downsizing and upsizing in the government, just like you. Only different things. You never saw a Pentagon budget increase you didn't like, so that makes you a statist!

I'm in favor of both downsizing

Like ethanol and farm subsidies?

Again - good point.

PS - Mea Culpa for a lame attempt at trying to pigeon-hole you.

Null,

Gotta run - have a nice evening.

I am not trying to be a dick...

Then why are you even here?

You know that's one of the requirements when you register for membership on DR.

Why do the libtards/Obamabots/Socialists on this site continue to call me and my ilk "stupid" or "racist" when a legitimate argument comes into play that is unfavorable against their chosen one?

You want to label a group of people stupid, look at the other half (50%) of the nation that doesn't even bother to vote!

At least I give a rats ass about my country. Why else would I come out here and put up with you people!

BTW - Since some of you elite turds are concerned about my intelligence, I have a BS in Business/Marketing, not from an Ivy League Skrool, but a BS none the less.

Why do the libtards/Obamabots/Socialists on this site continue to call me and my ilk "stupid" or "racist" when a legitimate argument comes into play that is unfavorable against their chosen one?

Their entire tactical stratety centers around the creation of victim-groups and the demonization of ALL opposition as an enemy to said group lefties purport to represent.

You're either with us or against us.

ha ha ha ha ha...

Been wanting to say that.

If BUSH had done HALF the things Obama has done, the driberals would be having cows at this point.

And the Great White/Black Hope continues his reign while the sheep that elected him remain silent...eating their grass...pooping on the Constitution...peeing on the Bill of Rights.

And so was America...in her final days.

If this was proposed by the Bush administration it would be in the largest font at the top of the Retort and have about 750+ comments. I find it laughable that so many here have nothing to say on this subject with the current administration.

I cannot wait till the pendulum swings and these 'powers' that the dems create such as czars with no congressional oversight and 'emergency' control over the internet is in Republican hands [and brought about by dems].

Since they're unable to comment on the subject at hand and instead choose to deflect to another poster, I must assume that they fully support giving the president control over the internet during a cyber "threat."

The point is that any increase in presidential power, e.g., the Patriot Act is cheered by rtards when it occurs under a rightwing president.

I remember the FISA debate where Bush was failing to acquire a warrant before conducting wiretaps. It was reported how easy it was to get a warrant (even after the fact) and yet this was not being done. I was glad it was caught and brought to attention. I don't remember that being "cheered" by anybody. I just remember the pants pissing going on and folks saying "THIS COUNTRY IS FINISHED"!!!!

I called those folks "pussys" for engaging in such hysteria.

Where is the hysteria NOW Nulli?

There won't be any. Furthermore, all of the hysteria we heard before was 100% PHONY.

I knew it then and it has now been proved.

Or maybe hic_up and fuck_up are just idiots.

I called those folks "pussys" for engaging in such hysteria.

Where is the hysteria NOW Nulli?

From the Right, which has rediscovered, in an hysterical and counter-factual fit, its concern for civil liberties now that Bush has returned to Texas.

Buncha ignorant, scare-mongering, fucknuts.

The government in this country will not be controlling the internet.

Go find something else to shit yer britches about.

hysterical?

please, if this were GWB this thread would be 500+ posts long.

But to be consistent, any rantings about this is "hysteria".

Let me know when you find any.

Buncha ignorant, scare-mongering, fucknuts.

The government in this country will not be controlling the internet.

Go find something else to shit yer britches about.

Tell us the truth, Dave -- would you have had the exact same response to this thread, "Bill would give president emeregency control of internet" if it had come out a year ago?

Go find something else to shit yer britches about.

like a wiretap on a suspected terrorist

This is step one towards disconnecting conservative blogs.

I am convinced this guy Obama is the reincarnation of Stalin.

I have avoided this for as long as possible in order not to sound like an over the top alarmist.

But this guy is Stalin to a "T"

And you better believe this was initiated in the White House, and not in the Senate

"I am convinced this guy Obama is the reincarnation of Stalin."

And 99% of bloggers that read yer posts are convinced that yer an idiot.

And they'd be right.

Go find something else to shit yer britches about.

Game, set, match. Well done. It normally takes 3 posts to make Dave look like a fucking idiot.

Dream on, dogwizz.

The match is over dummy. Go take the dog for a walk if she's done with the dishes.

"The match is over dummy", screeches the fat lady.
