Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Thursday, August 27, 2009

Sen. John McCain met with an angry crowd at a town-hall meeting about health care reform Wednesday. "You're going to have to stop or you're going to have to leave," McCain told one woman who wouldn't stop yelling. When security guards approached to escort her out, he said "Goodbye, see ya" to a round of applause.

Hecklers not welcomed, but illegal aliens are welcomed into the country, that is McCain for you.

I think McCain should have given amnesty to this heckler.

McCain is a Conservative, not a weak-minded wingnut that really believes all the mythology about health care reform that has been manufactured by the corporate GOP.

Doesn't mean that he won't take advantage of it, just that he is too smart to listen to it.

"They should Tase this guy. At one point with security so high and tensions on edge, don't you think they're going to get at the very least Tased or beaten to a pulp by somebody? These people look threatening."

Sincerely
Brian Kilmead "right" Wing Icon

I am sure McCain could have used your votes last November. LOL!

I was speaking with a friend near the beginning of election '08 ....
and we both had a laugh over something he said.

Upon us realizing that Obama would be the dem candidate, he said:

"Can you believe this shit?.....
if the GOP could JUST scrape it together to find ANYBODY reasonable to run against this Obama, the outcome would be a no brainer - ANYBODY at all that is just HALFWAY decent- BUT NO! they come up with McCain ????? !!!!!

"BUT NO! they come up with McCain ????? !!!!!"

And they topped it off with Bible Spice.

I was going to write in Paris Hilton until that stupid, superstitious bimbo showed up.

"if the GOP could JUST scrape it together to find ANYBODY reasonable to run against this Obama, the outcome would be a no brainer - ANYBODY at all that is just HALFWAY decent- BUT NO! they come up with McCain ????? !!!!!"

Yeah, I know what you mean. After all, they had some terrific winners in the pack last time around: Willard "Mutt" Romney, Ron "What Century Is It?" Paul, and Mike "Give Me An Amen!" Huckabee.

But, hey, next time's gonna be even better: Sarah "Wasilla Gawdzilla" Palin, Willard "Mutt" Romney, Mike "Give Me An Amen!" Huckabee, and anyone else who hasn't been caught in bed with a dead woman or a live boy.

What a wealth of political talent!

Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul in the primaries. People laughed. Well, who the fuck is laughing now?

At Ron Paul?

Same as before: everyone who didn't vote for him in the primaries.

BUT NO! they come up with McCain ????? !!!!!

Yes, it was very sad to see the best candidates drop out when only 3% of the votes had been cast.

My only consolation is that we are being led off a cliff by a Dem, and not by a left leaning Repub (not a conservative). So, maybe we can find a real conservative to run in the next election. McCain would have been a disaster for the Repubs, just as Obama is one for the Dems.

Your friend was wrong, 8Roper. McCain was the most electable Republican they could possibly have put up in 2008, given the way that voters felt about Republicans after eight years of Bush.

"Hecklers not welcomed, but illegal aliens are welcomed into the country, that is McCain for you."

I'd trade a Code Pink member for an illegal alien any day!

I'm really sick of these politicians supporting the insurance industry. Those bloodsuckers should be disbanded like the Taliban.

We need single payer. Anything else is bullshit.

Simply put - McCain's a loser.

RCADE has a point,

all this post needs is the first line to know that everything after it is ALSO incorrect...

some people feel Like they are geting fucked by insurance corps because insurance corps have to cover for the many bloodsucker consumers that are out there.

Its simple - you have to have your up side in better shape than your down side....

the private system, unfortunately, is already its own version of socialized medicine.

and throwing the govt in there will only make it worse because the govt does not have the $$$ to fund its own system, so it will suck most of the $$ out of the private system ( taxes on corporations) and the situation in the private system then gets exacerbated, and then we are all on Obamacare

SURPRISE!

I will state again that I am fully for stricter regulation of Ins companies - but I am not for goovt run healthcare - which will NOT LEAVE THE PRIVATE OPTION OPEN - DON'T KID YOURSELVES

sorry to go OT, #18 was in response to #14

I wonder how many of those people who were heckling the heckler thought the protesting at other TH meetings was about free speech.

And Code Pink, what the fuck? Have they been part of this disruptor crowd at other meetings but just haven't been getting any press?

-but I am not for goovt run healthcare

Hates Medicare.

- all this post needs is the first line to know that everything after it is ALSO incorrect...

Well, it depends on one's perspective. From the Left to the center, McCain looks like a Conservative.

From way out on the far Right side of the solar system, somewhere near Betelgeuse, I can see where he might not appear so.

I'm not sure a convicted felon is eligible to run for office. But you might want to check with former GOP Congressman Randall "Duke" Cunningham at the minimum security satellite facility of the United States Prison in Tucson.

"Well, who the fuck is laughing now?"

Millions of us. Ron Paul us a nut.

McCain is nothing

he's not liberal

he's not conservative

he is totally with his nose in the wind - trying to see which way the wind blows.

when he is on his soapbox spouting conservative ideology- i think "bullshit"

When he is supporting some crackpot liberal ideology, i say "panderer".

there is no way any rational human being can have the discombobulated set of priorities that McCain has.

I'm not sure a convicted felon is eligible to run for office.

niether is a citizen of Kenya-

so like I said - ANYBODY could have run and won.

"I'm not sure a convicted felon is eligible to run for office."

He is if he was born in Kenya.

"niether is a citizen of Kenya"

That's correct.

So what's your point?

The dems could have nominated Charles Manson and he would have won.

Obama still could have lost. After the Wright situation, he was one more racial controversy away from real trouble. If the Republican dreams about a "whitey" tape had come true, I think McCain squeaks out a victory.

#29 | Posted by Doc_Sarvis

My point is that my original statement in #16 was not refuted by your #23.

It would sem that eligibility fell by the wayside, the hatred for Bush was so strong.

SO - as a Kenyan citizen was able to become elected despite lack of eligibility, so could have a convicted felon.

What is it -Do you think it is some major accomplishment to get me to say I think Obama is a citizen of Kenya?
Big deal . he is what he is.

McCain saved more people than Kennedy.

McCain saved quite a few enlisted men from the Hanoi HIlton - as enlisteds they surely would have been goners. McCain sacrificed himself for them.

Kennedy saved nobody, and murdered 2 people in cold blood.

BUT STILL - McCain is/was a shitbird as a Pres candidate.

i did not say i plan on paying 100K out of pocket for medicine:

I highly doubt that a private insurer will pay that kind of corn for anyone's treatment.

But of course we don't have rationing in private policies.

In May, 2008, Robin Beaton, a retired registered nurse from Waxahachie, Texas, went to her dermatologist to be treated for acne. He mistakenly wrote down something on her chart that made it appear that she might have a pre-cancerous skin condition.

Not a big deal, right? It shouldn't have been, except that soon after that, she was diagnosed with something far more serious -- invasive and agressive breast cancer. Three days before she was scheduled for a double mastectomy, her insurance company, Blue Cross, called her and told her they were launching an investigation into the last five years of her health records. It turned out that dermatologist's note had been a red flag, and the company was looking for a way to cancel her policy on the grounds that she had been hiding a serious medical condition.

I am so confused. So when a Republican kicks someone out, it is ok, but when a Dem does it, it is censorship?

If it were my job to educate the ignorant here, I wouldn't have time to ridicule them, which is much more entertaining.

Are we talking net numbers? You have to discount his total by the ones that died from the fire he started on the carrier.

#69 | Posted by 726

OKAY since there was no fire started BY MCCAIN -
i will discount ZERO of the prisoners McCain saved :

Neither noticed the F-4 Phantom also revving up. An electrical surge from the engine combustion is believed to have triggered one of its wing's Zuni missiles. It accidentally fired, blasting across the deck and slamming into the fuel tank of McCain's A-4. The missile didn't detonate, but the impact spilled 200 gallons of highly flammable aviation fuel and knocked two of McCain's bombs to the deck. The fuel caught fire and McCain's plane was engulfed in smoke.

"I opened my canopy, raced onto the nose, crawled out onto the refueling probe, and jumped ten feet into the fire," McCain wrote in his 1999 book Faith of My Fathers. "I rolled through a wall of flames as my flight suit caught fire."

Slapping out the fire on his flight suit, McCain rushed to assist another A-4 pilot who also was on fire. He followed Chief Petty Officer Gerald Farrier, who wielded a fire-extinguisher, and other men carrying a hose.

Wiki- on McCain's imprisonment:

Disclosing the military information was in violation of the Code of Conduct, which McCain later wrote he regretted, although he saw the information as being of no practical use to the North Vietnamese.[119] Further coerced to give future targets, he named cities that had already been bombed, and responding to demands for the names of his squadron's members, he supplied instead the names of the 1969 Green Bay Packers' offensive line

Yeah, somebody needs to find a community organizer, that whitey's will support at 95%.

How is that healthcare overhaul going? Dems have the presidency, both houses of congress and can't pass it. HAHAH. What a great leader the community organizer is.

Ya gotta love the proudly self-retorting retort!

I will gladly name 9 of the many -

as soon as my request, which was made first, is answered first.

I don't need all 1 million names Cork, how about half of them.

"Takes 'em where he can get 'em"

This, from the idiot who invoked "57 states" after getting his ass handed to him, and therefore claimed a "win".

I come here for the comedy.

I will gladly name 9 of the many -as soon...blah, blah, blah...

Are you sure? Because when in Pennsylvania, he claimed it was the Steelers.

I did not come here to kiss McCain's ass- just the opposite.

He said STEELERS because he was in PA.

I called him a panderer earlier in the thread.

Next challenger, please.

8Roper - sorry to chime in late BUT.

Medicare is not a government run system. The government DOES NOT own the facilities where services are rendered, nor do they employ the physicians or staff associated with Medicare.

Both are reimbursable expenses under Medicare contract.

The policies themselves are industry standards (better than most people could afford today. Generally Medicare is an 80/20 plan, you are responsible for 20%, not counting supplemental plans) that must be approved by our elected officials BEFORE changes can be made so there has always been a means to oversee Medicare by the citizens of this country through organization.

It is a single payer system. The contract to run Medicare is farmed out to private insurance entities such as American Heritage Ins Co., who I believe holds the Medicare contract.

Just food for thought...

I come here for the comedy.

I hate to wrest you from your delusions- but Corky and I do not have an off-line relationship.

You backstabbing bitch, you!

All the children hate you!

In response to some statements made far upthread re: McCain vs. Obama, I once read this analysis:

It was the party that shouldn't be able to lose (Democrats) running the candidate that shouldn't be able to win (Obama) against the party that shouldn't be able to win (Republicans) running the candidate that shouldn't be able to lose (McCain).

I always found that profoundly interesting.

Millions of us. Ron Paul us a nut.

#24 | Posted by danni at 2009-08-27 11:17 AM

Millions of people also qualify as "brain-dead" in this country...obviously those numbers overlap by at least one. Paul is one of the only guys asking for transparency above all else right now. Yet you party-line towers (both sides remarkably) break your back trying to keep people like him marginalized. That says something. Mostly that you could give a crap about an honest debate. You'd rather tow that line like a good sheep. And to me, sheep just get in the way.

It can all be taken away in a blink of an eye. Your money is yours until the impoverished masses decides to take it away.

Yes. They won't clean up the houses or yards they have now I'm sure they'll do a better job with the mansions they'll steal.

You're a real dope. I feel sorry for you.

McCain was an qualified candididate. Experienced Senator, War Hero.

Poor campaigner. Didn't want to exploit the Rev Wright comments, community organizing, and patronage job of Michelle, because he fear being called the "R" word.

Political correctness BS is ruining this once proud country.

Over the past 15 years I feel I have become a citizen in a third world country. Press #2 to read this message in Spanglish.

unlike you, I am too inltelligent not to have a shitload of my own money in reserve - that I will be able to use to take care of myself and family when I am older- should I need to, provided Obama doesn't end up outlawing private ins and kill the industry

Groper and his compatriots that don't want their money spent THAT way do not have a clue regarding what is actually backing the "dollar".

It is only worth a "dollar" because we ALL agree that it is worth a "dollar". The libertarian anarchist want the freedom and security of a 1st world nation while desiring the tax implications of a banana republic.

Living like a coke lord in Bolivia is not my ideal lifestyle. Having unwashed masses crave what you own and willing to stick a shiv in at any time to rob you blind and take everything you hold dear including your family would blow goats. The cohesive glue that holds us together is that we all have opportunity even if its perceived and we also strive to provide a safer environment to be able to achieve the dream. Try that in Juarez or Mogadishu, two libertarian nirvana's.

Now you are just fucking with them..watch their collective heads explode. You forgot how aliens are going to take over the system, turn us all in to commie bastards, steal their dollar replace it with the ruble and kill granny.. That's just for starters.

since when does the gov rep own the place?

mccain's a worthless punk.

what i want to know is who is and what happened to that woman at the [diskweed] Coburn's meeting?

when he invited her neighbors to "help her." as if they don't know ppl like this, in such dire straights, exist. when MOST ppl live like that everyday.

pick a poster child solve her problem (not) and go back to faking you're asleep while really picking pockets..

the dialogue in Mccain's talk is INSANE. sounds like Palin arguing for single-payer.

LMAO, he says:"health care installations, I mean, facilities."

people are clapping for stuff they didn't HEAR and other times they clap having no idea what he just said -- neither does he!

ROFLMAO -- we are in TROUBLE america.

see that one where the guy said he was a proud terrorist! and gov guy applauded him! i'd of LOVED to have got the guy to publicly define "terrorist."

LOONS. Dangerous loons, with guns!

If you are admitting to really being John McCain.... that's more information than we needed.

typical bullshit comment about things that I have PAID for all of my adult life.....

Posters like BLT will vote for anyone the RNC throws out there, no matter how senile, incompetent or stupid just because they have "R" after their name.

These dem pussies need to boot out loudmouth disrupters.

Imagine if ANY of the dems who have had to put up with the hysterical deathliars shouting them down would have merely had them removed.....Imagine the outrage.....hell, Barney Frank put up with listening to their misinformed rants and inability to listen to his answers for a couple hours and was still smeared by the corporate media for it....

Double standard in this country and corporate media is unbelieveable, eh?

Right, the contract ON American, 1st repug congress in 40 years, (1994-2006) did exactly that NOTHING...

Nothing about terrorists attacking the usa

Nothing about illegal immigration.

Nothing about the costs of healthcare tripling during their tenure.

Oh, wait...they did spend $70 million harrassing our own president with 11 bogus investigations that yielded ZERO indictments...

Repugs are the govt of do nothing, the party of NO.

LOL

Beefers thinks that woman may have a future in PMS product commercials....

What...... (Whispering) Oh.... I didn't know that..... Are you sure Fog Hat? (Whispering) Oh..... Why would she do that?.... Oh....

Beefers has just been informed that that was a weak attempt by the Right to portray the Left leaning people as being just as violent and crazy as they are... She was a Plant....

What...... (whispering) What.... (whispering) Whell what should we do..... (Whispering) Oh.... I didn't know that.... Are you sure..... (whispering)

Beefers has just been informed by his side kick that although we have stated that that was a setup we can neither confirm or deny wheather or not we are correct.... What (whispering) Oh.... OK.....

Ah..... Beefers stands by the statement that the woman at the rally was a plant.... As in FICUS.........

woke: consulting the DSM-IV-Tr Handbook of Differential Diagnosis to find out what it means when someone repeatedly refers to themselves in the 3rd person.....

Doh!
