An independent senator counted on by Democrats in the health care debate showed signs of wavering Sunday when he urged President Barack Obama to postpone many of his initiatives because of the economic downturn. "I'm afraid we've got to think about putting a lot of that off until the economy's out of recession," said Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman. "There's no reason we have to do it all now."

"Damit Joe! We worked hard to manufacture a crisis and now you're going to spoil it!"

-Messiah

The only good thing that happened in the presidential election of 2000 was that this POS didn't get to become vice president. We will all be better off when Connecticut finally elects someone who cares more about them than about himself. I hope traitor Joe's time in the Senate comes to a halt in the next election even if a REpublican takes his place.

I hope traitor Joe's time in the Senate comes to a halt in the next election even if a REpublican takes his place.

I urge all Republicans to write to Michael Steel and demand that no Republican be named to run against Sen. Joe. Furthermore I urge that all Republicans donate to his campaign fund.

Just to piss Danni off when he gets re-elected again.

I don't think I will take the time to come up with a fresh thought on this.

I will just paste a rather insightful, thought provoking comment of mine from November last year

LIEBERMAN ROCKS he is my Senator and he has BIG BAD BALLS - and he will fuck you dems hard in the ass and unload his mighty war-hawk demon seed into your rectums for the way he was treated by you scum.

HA HA HA HA HA one vote farther from 60.
JOE IS TRUE to his MORALS ON VOTES - YOU QUEERS!

he will never vote with your side AGAIN!!!

This is all developing PERFECTLY according to my PLAN!

Hey Danni and I suppose Arlen Specter is one of your political heroes?

You are so lost.

We will all be better off when Connecticut finally elects someone who cares more about them than about himself

The most backward foolish statement any angry confused poster ever made.

Lieberman, being toitally rational in his support of reform of the health industry- in a controlled manner at a time when the economy can support it- is considered by Danni to be only thinking of himself. -And I suppose the criminal Chris Dodd of Connecticut is a fine Senator??? I dont suppose all of that profiteering he was involved with in the mortgage mess was him thinking of himself, eh?

I have some news for you - Liebermann has strong support in the red county of CT and pretty good support, still, in the rest of blue CT. He is going to be around for a long time, whether he runs as DEM,REPUB, OR IND.

We all know THE REAL reason why you hate Joe, you an anti-semite. Don't try to pretend otherwise in this blog again.

Where is GZLives when you really need him?

#8 | Posted by 8roper

In other words, you're a liar. Thanks, but I already knew that.

Hey old Joe was so right about Iraq, why not follow him on health care too????

You tools, learn how to think.

Waiting for the economy to be better before we fix health care is sort of like waiting for victory in Iraq before we consider that it was a foolish, costly, tragic mistake to go there in the first place.

God, I hate that tired, self-centered piece of crap Lieberman. I wish he'd get voted out and we wouldn't have to look at him any more.

Like everything else he does, this is for publicity value.

I don't know why the Dems are mad at Lieberman.. he isn't saying anything that Max Baucus and a number of other democrats aren't saying.

I know its hard to believe, but even tax and spend types get nervous about spending another trillion dollars on top of an already projected 9 trillion dollar deficit. Not to mention that the public outcry against government take over of healthcare is being heard by democrats.

Lieberman is a democrat with some sense. It's mice to learn that they are not all whack jobs.

And good to know he's fightin' fer yer rats.

lieberman wobbles on life

Joe will fall in line as soon as he sees his campaign funding threatened.

If he votes against the democrats on Health Care Reform, he'll be retired in 2012.

Damnit Joe! Keep your Commonsense to yourself.

Read the fucking article you idiots.

He is on board with this reform and he wants to start with INSURANCE COMPANIES.

Of course a lot of senators SAY that. I can't believe you would every believe he would want to go after insurance companies.

Of course, it might be helpful to point out to you retards what state Lieberman is from.

If there is one senator who you would expect to be affected by insurance lobbying it would be him.

Hartford Conn is the "insurance capital of the world".

Ya, a pantload of favors on loans.

every = ever

A democrat with common sense. You don't find that very often. The man wants to do what we can afford and postpone the balance until the economy recovers a bit.

A democrat with common sense.

Nothing more common sense than the great Senator's comments on reforming the insurance companies .

However the rabid left ( Danni, cockstarvis, et.al.) are overboard with the insults and hate for the man.

This is what the left has become.

completely radical "if you don't beleive in extemism i wish political death upon you" libs.

LOL

Senator Lieberman.

Get used to him.

He'll be around for a long time.

I think Obama better get some advice on Afghanistan from Joe.

Afghanistan has become a fucking crazy quagmire on Obama's watch.

Voters getting their purple stained fingers cut off.

I don't remember that happening under W.

the man is a fucking waffler..he can't decide if he is a snake or a lizard.

wobble, waffle.

these ineffective buzz words do not seem to stick to the Great Senator Lieberman in this case, unless I missed something.

examples?

Did he ever say he wanted a full blown govt run healthcare system immediately?

Or are you confusing him with the Dark One?

I urge all Republicans to write to Michael Steel and demand that no Republican be named to run against Sen. Joe. Furthermore I urge that all Republicans donate to his campaign fund.

Happened last time around. AIPAC needs Joe to keep the Israeli stimulus money flowing and the war on Iraq running. The GOP needed him to remind McLost to put his pants on before speeches.

But I think it's cool GOPpers donated to a pro-abortion liberal just to help Dubya. And a guy who ardently supported Obama's stimulus package. And, of course, will end up voting for whatever health-care package gets passed.

I expect the righties will be less than enchanted by Joementum then.

ah thank you danni

can always count on you.....lol

fact is...he is independent.........or are you saying that he is not a 'party over country' guy like dems can be but republicans cant be???

you know like the ASSHOLE teddy and his 'hijinks' to get a dem appointed to his seat rather than a special election like he wanted WHEN A republican was governor????

the man is a fucking waffler..he can't decide if he is a snake or a lizard.

.......(crickets)

and here is one reason why this whole thing isnt about health care at all..
the rest of the letter was too long but there was a congressman who agreed with this notion of what obama and the neo marxists are really after

Dear Concerned American,

A massive time bomb ticks away, buried in thousands of pages of legislation.

What happens when it explodes?

The forced unionization of hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) of doctors, nurses and other health care workers; billions of new forced-dues dollars rolling into Big Labor's coffers; and the union bosses in nearly complete control of your health care.

You see, as bad as what you've already heard about President Obama's health care plan -- the reality may be even worse.

You see, when I saw the videos of union thugs beating down elderly Americans for protesting "Obamacare", I knew something sinister was afoot.

#31 | Posted by afkabl2 | Flag: It's Definitely 5 O' Clock Somewhere

thats right
..I speak the truth about obama and I must be drunk.,.
sure okay..

and spector yesterday showed his democrat lieing ability

when asked if he was going to take whatever health care they gave americans he made a nice little dodge..
he said that americans would have a choice on health care and so he would also have a choice

HEY fuckwad...that wasnt the fuckin question....

and about reconciliation

he said well he would consider it but it wasnt 'prefereable'...
a perfect way out....

if obama lets israel steal more land from the palestinians, without objecting, joe will jump right back on the health care movement. he is a piece of shit.

Hopefully Alec Baldwin will run against JL and kick his whining simpering ass.We really dodged a bullet. This jerk could have been VP. Go Alec. The Senate is for Closers not losers.

We can waste money on war, especially if it subsidizes Israel in any way. We can waste the most money ever on Wall Street crooks, without any substantive, honest discussion.

We can waste money on Auto Manufacturers, Oil companies, Drug Companies, Corn Distillers, Bonuses for failure, Prisons, Atomic Bombs, Drug enforcement, Cold Fusion, Torture or Assasination.....

But, we ain't gonna waste money on stinking, taxpaying workers. Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.

I would not call it a wobble since he seems to have taken a 'reality check' and is smart enough to realize we cannot afford this bill. Strikes me as an intelligent decision to stop this before they make things worse.

wobble, waffle.

wtf do you know dicklips? "Ineffective" is the key word in your statement above.

I seem to recall the Repukes wanted to castrate him in the last election now he is your golden boy? Talk about bi-polar.

he is running now.. this ought to send the right into a fucking tizzy especially after Franken's appointment.

You see pal, that's who I am, and you're nothing. Nice guy? I don't give a shit. Good father? Fuck you! Go home and play with your kids.- Alec Baldwin's Campaign speech

wtf do you know dicklips? "Ineffective" is the key word in your statement above. - Correct, and it is a modifier of " buzz words"
they are ineffective buzz words ( "waffler, wobler")to use on Lieberman.
Gosh you are stupid

I seem to recall the Repukes wanted to castrate him in the last election, now he is your golden boy? Talk about bi-polar. - No. he spoke at the GOP convention in the last election, and I am from CT and have voted for him in his last 3 Senate elections - WTF are you talking about ?

WOW it looks like I picked on one of the dumb ones when I chose to post a response to Legio. I am just going to close the door on this tradgedy and tiptoe away, quietly, like when Carl the Groundskeeper scoots away from the lightning bolted minister.

Again "G"roper responds with no substance and no response. What a douche. Comprehension and attentiveness in not your best skill set so stick to buggering choir boy's.

Lieberman has no spine. The national party ditched him on the republican platform and in order to retain his position he switched "parties" to remain on the ticket. It speaks volumes when a loser turd like yourself resounds support for this POS.

It is apt that you compare yourself to Carl. Couldn't have thought of better analogy.

Yeah real easy to say that when your population is 7.4 million compared to 300 million Americans.

-------

Alec Baldwin---now that's funny!

Lieberman has no spine. The national party ditched him on the republican platform and in order to retain his position he switched "parties" to remain on the ticket.

Your idiocy attracts me again.

news flash:
Lieberman was a DEM, he was ditched by DEMS for being too moderate- so he ran and WON as an Indy - he did not do anything to STAY on any ticket.
and that is far from SWITCHING parties.....

Switching parties in an abrupt turn about, by your own choice, to stay in office , is what your Dem Arlen Specter did- but I guess you got confused.

LOL!

Do try again, some posters here can give me a run for my money..... but with you it's like having a day off and taking a nice easy batting practice.

God damn legio is stupid.

That stooge doesn't even know Joe was a Dem...

Damn legio, you're fucking retarded.

Has anyone else ever noticed that whenever something important comes up, Lieberman takes a contrarian stance on the front page of every newspaper in America?

This buffoon is out to garner publicity that makes him feel good about the idiot he knows Joe Lieberman to be.

Alec Baldwin---now that's funny!

carefull..
remember the same sort of thing was said about franken,
but that was before the minnesota democrats perfected the OLD VOTES IN A TRUNK strategy,...

Damn legio, you're fucking retarded.

thanks!

Now stop fucking your sister while typing on the keyboard!

"Lieberman has no spine"

Actually he has a lot of spine as he is refusing to say 'moo' and amble along in lockstep with the rest of the followers.

"Alec Baldwin---now that's funny!"

It certainly is. The Bloviator vs. The Bore.

Why are the religious leaders seemingly absent from this Health Care debate?

Is it because the Republican party which seems to be so objectionable to Health Care reform is a party dominated by the religious right?

A religious right that does not seem to want to talk re' Health Care as applied to the Christian messages having to do with the concepts of the good samaritan (i.e. helping a total stranger), the concept of being your brothers keeper even the feeding of a large crowd with a few loaves of bread and 2 fishes so that everyone got a share?

Where are this typically vocal crowd that like to call themselves 'values voters'?

Is not one of their values visa vie Health Care to take care of others?

It lends one to speculate exactly what are their 'values'.

Frankly this lack of input regarding this very real and moral issue of Health Care from these so called religious leaders implies their real values are relative who it applies to. Whatever it is, it is not the story of the good samaritan nor about being in any sense your brothers keeper.

You know...I like that post.

Nice job!

"Frankly this lack of input regarding this very real and moral issue of Health Care from these so called religious leaders implies their real values are relative who it applies to. Whatever it is, it is not the story of the good samaritan nor about being in any sense your brothers keeper.

#53 | POSTED BY GODALMIGHTY"

After 8 years of the Religious Right having a seat at the table, I for one am happy to hear the silence.

I think you lefties all miss the point of being a good samaritan... and that is that YOU help a stranger. If you see someone without shoes, and you buy him a pair of shoes out of your own money, that is being a good samaritan.

Putting a gun to your neighbor's head and stealing his wallet to buy the homeless guy a pair of shoes doesn't make you a good samaritan, it makes you a fucking thief.

The biggest difference between the crack dealer that breaks into your house and the IRS is that the IRS steals the money before you even get your check.

Lieberman has wobbled SO much in his career,
they just ought to name him "Weeble",
and be done with it...

"Weebles wabble and yet he doesn't fall down"...

hell, he practically wrote the book on
Weeble Politics...

ohplease..

how can any of you talk shit about lieberman when spector is still there...at least until 2010...

he is the wobbler supreme..
and you know thats probably not all correct either because spector is just a political ass....
